Location: Just behind the bus station, enter a small inner corridor. This hostel is really inconspicuous. There is no signboard. The first time you go, you have to look for the house number to find it, otherwise you will go over and don’t know. . Environment: The environment is good. Each bed has a curtain and its own locker. The only disadvantage is that the bathroom window cannot be opened, the ventilation is relatively weak, and the ventilation is not good. Others: The traffic is very convenient, the pedestrian street is just outside, the bus station, and the light rail station are also very close. On the third floor there is a kitchen and dining room, and a small living room, as well as laundry and luggage storage.

We made our reservations for an 18-day stay about two weeks before arrival. Our arrival from Ben Gurion Airport was close to midnight (after our flight from San Francisco). We should have suspected something right from the start. The desk clerk checked us in and created magnetic cards for our door lock. He handed us the cards and then said, “Those probably won’t work, so here’s a real key.” Our attempt to sleep in the next morning was foiled by the curtain drooping with hooks unattached from the curtain rod. (However, we didn’t miss much since a violent storm brought rain and hail to the streets … no fault of the hotel.) Breakfast was the usual Israeli buffet overflowing with fish, eggs, biscuits, rolls, juices, coffee, tea and all things dairy. Breakfast is NOT included in the room rate. However, there is a meal plan. Unfortunately, the chefs aren’t there and no meals are available other than breakfast and on Sabbath. After breakfast we wished to call some family members, but found that our phone didn’t work. An inquiry to the front desk was answered with, “If you want to make an outside call, come down to the front desk and we’ll make it for you. The room phones do not provide for outside calls.” I should mention, as a point of interest that apparently a good part of the hotel’s income has traditionally derived from the Chassidic community that travels from the surrounding area to attend a Sabbath weekend each week. Orthodox guests, with men in formal regalia, many wearing fur hats, arrive with their often-large families throughout Friday afternoon. In consideration of Orthodox observance, the hotel provided actual real “Shabbat keys” for rooms so that electric power would not be used. In the same spirit, one of the two elevators operated automatically, going from floor to floor continuously. Shabbat services are held prior to dinner, which typically begins after 8:00 pm. The meal is expensive, but extravagant. The buffet overflows with a variety of meats, vegetables and deserts. Red wine appears on every table. Heaps of chicken schnitzel (the Israeli national bird) are devoured and followed by more heaps. Little kids run uncontrolled between tables and the legs of adults. Teenagers flirt, but don’t touch. The Shabbat festivities go on until near midnight, so don’t expect quiet in your room. Morning finds the crowd at the typical big breakfast after which the men begin their services in the cleared dining room and kids romp in the courtyard. A late but abundant lunch is served, followed by naps, Torah studies and then evening prayers. After (religiously official) sundown guests check out and leave the crowded lobby for their transportation home and a new week begins. (Parenthetically, on our first Shabbat, the non-Shabbat elevator became stuck on the top floor of the hotel. Our suite was located on the fourth floor and we were reluctant to climb, so we grudgingly took the floor-to-floor option. The elevator remained stuck for the next three da

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel provides all the basic necessities for travellers though I find it quite unusual that the hotel does not provide an iron & ironing board. The room is spacious & the WiFi connectivity is excellent. Can’t say the same about the pillows. The pillows are all ‘flat’ & I’m quite fussy about pillows. The duvet is ‘barely’ enough to be used on king sized bed. Bring your own toiletries as the toiletries provided are very basic. The bathroom is rather small though I like the tiles in the shower. The breakfast spread is pretty good & so does the dinner spread. During our visit, the hotel was packed with tourists so we didn’t have any porter service to assist us to carry our luggage. By the way, the arrangement of the rooms are rather odd. There are only 2 levels but elevator only takes you to level 1

The reason for my statement is soon explained. This is a hotel in the Arab part of Jerusalem, of a good standard, well maintained. My room and bathroom were impeccable. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. The staff are polite and helpful. Finally, the hotel is within walking distance of Herod's Gate, therefore of the walled city of Jerusalem. The choice by our tour operator has therefore proved wise, and I recommend this solution also to independent travelers.

We were there for a conference. The hotel is away from the city center and getting in was confusing since the entrance is gated and the guard was sitting on the exit side. Once the guard let us in, parking was easy, the elevators are spread out through the hotel with minimal wait time. Also the front desk is on an upper floor. But the room was very nice, a good size for an Israeli hotel. The beds were very comfortable and not low to the ground. Very nice modern decor, good lighting, very modern bathroom, with good size rain shower, plenty of hot water. The hotel decor is attractive, conference rooms and dining room also first class. We loved the food. Plentiful buffets with lots of salad choices at each meal, great sides, choice of main course so even someone who is gluten intolerant and/ or vegetarian can fully enjoy the meals. We plan to return and even gift a night at the hotel as an anniversary gift to a special couple.

A 20-minute walk to the Old Town, and easy access to the bus to the Mount of Olives, the City of David, the Israel Museum, and more! We stayed at Villa Ba Moshava to be near our family who live in the area. This was a repeat visit to the hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful historic house that has been tastefully renovated. The terrace area is lovely. The staff are polite and helpful. There is 24/7 tea and coffee in the lounge which is great. Our bedroom was very comfortable but on the small side. When we booked we should have requested a room with bath, they were all taken when we checked in. A nice touch of luxury is bathrobes and slippers in the room. The hotel doesn't have a car park, but you can usually find parking nearby on blue and white. All in all, can recommend.

We stayed here for 3 nights after our tourism company booked this hotel for us. It was...uncomfortable. We arrived as a bible study of some sort was going on in the lobby and were met with silence and stares upon entering. Upon getting to our room, the bathroom design is ridiculous, at best, not allowing you to really enter the bathroom at all. I fear to think how many bare butts have brushed the door handle. The second day, the entry keys stopped working and had to be re-keyed. The power to half the room was out, we were so tired, we just went to bed thinking it would be back on in the morning. The third day, despite putting up our ”do not enter” sign, someone cleaned our room. The keys again did not work. It was Shabbat, so the hotel receptionist almost refused to help at all until we pleaded we were unable to get into our room when he unenthusiastically handed us an actual metal key to get in...thanks. Power still off to half the room. The other guests had the lights out in their rooms, which meant their children were running through the hallways, as these were the only lighted spaces all night. Glad to leave.

I can’t recommend the Biazi hotel enough. Between its location in charming Nachlaot, spacious beautiful rooms and incredible family history, the Biazi is a gem of a place. Staying here and getting to meet Mimi and Yoel, third generation owners of this little “makolet” turned hotel, enriched our visit to Jerusalem. We loved being in such an “authentic” part of town to experience the vibrant vibe of the city and also enjoyed being able to easily walk most anywhere, including the shuk, Gan Saccer, Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall , not to mention some of the best restaurants. My sister and I came here to celebrate our mother’s 70th birthday and I’m already planning to my next visit with my husband and daughter. This hotel was booked for me and I really had concerns about staying here after reviewing some of the photos. I was pleasantly surprised that our room was renovated very nicely. Aside from strange angled walls of the room, the space was great and the bathroom was updated with a lovely shower which was wonderful to wash off the tiredness of the day. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. The biggest problem with the room was the fact that it was booked for two acquaintances but the beds are put together as a single bed so there's no privacy/separation. The breakfast buffet was very impressive and delicious from the coffee to everything else. Dining area was lovely and enjoyable for our breakfast time. The lobby is also renovated but seems like some of the hotel sections are still under construction.

We stayed in a big room on the last floor with city views and big comfortable bed. Specially we loved how many mirrors there were and the private door entrance to the terrace. The hotel is apartment-style, the location is more convenient from the old town, there is a grocery store nearby, there is a 24-hour market on a few walks, you can search under Google map. The shops here usually close at around 8:00. 24 hours is still very convenient. Apartment facilities are OK, but not comparable to hotels in the same price in the country, where prices are generally much higher. But the winner can do something to satisfy the Chinese stomach. Hygiene feels that there are not many people who may live, and some are dusty. It is recommended to let the store clean up before you check in. If you have a free parking space by car. The neighborhood is close to the residential area so it is quieter and the environment is good.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms may visually appear a little different than Americans are used to, but they are kept clean and neat. The rooms were maintained daily during our stay. We saw signs that the hotel was updating their beds and furniture. The food was excellent - a Palestinian breakfast every day consisting of yogurt, hummus, fresh vegetables, picked vegetables, cheeses, and breads. The chef will make an omelet at your request for no additional charge. The location offers an amazing panoramic view of Jerusalem. Cable television is available, but there is not much to view for English speakers. You don't want to spend your time in front of the TV anyway - be out in the city!
