Very nice place to stay for people who want to explore the island as the location is on equal distances from Rhodes and Lindos. The rooms are lovely, with amazing design and the breakfast is extraordinary. Joanne and Monika were wonderful hosts and they made may stay special. Any request was immediately fulfilled as well as advices and directions. The beach is in walking distance, however it is good to have your own transport as you will have the freedom to visit many places. Free parking is available. And to be completely honest the only minus is the noise from the road, but that is an influence from the external environment and I do not consider it as a fault. The garden is beautiful and the breeze can make you to stay there all day. Thank you Joanne and Monika!!! I hope to come back soon!

To risky it was to fly straight on different tickets, so one night in Rhodos sounds more comfortable. Decided for the Lydia Hotel while checking places right in the old town and not far from the beaches and the main attractions. It fit`s!. Arrival at Rhodos airport, taxi shuttle for Rhodos town is on a fixed fare. Ok, not cheap, but no discussions this way. At the hotel around noon, some minutes to wait for the room at the top floor. Worth it, a large bed, spacious and to the rear part of the hotel. Also the bathroom nice and everything works right well. Had a good sleep there. Breakfast is served as a buffet, also nice and possible to do it at the open terrace, usually the place for the smokers, but enough space also for me here. Back for the airport on the fixed far and it also works.. Definitely a nice place to be in Rhodos town.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and it was a great choice. Rhodes in October is very busy and very hot so it was lovely to come back to this (relatively) secluded haven after a day of sightseeing. Nino was extremely helpful – he met us at the gate with a baggage trolley to navigate us to the hotel. He also made some great restaurant bookings for us. On our last day, Nino let us use one of our rooms after we had checked out which was very kind of him. I stayed in the Crusader suite and my friend stayed in the Pasha suite. Of the two, I think the Pasha was a little better because it had an external window with a view. The Crusader’s windows were up too high to see much out of them (and I actually would have liked curtain on them because they ended up letting in a lot of light so I needed to sleep with a sleeping mask on). The courtyard area really made the hotel: you feel like you are in a green oasis with the sound of water and not much else. That was beautiful spot for breakfast and to read in the afternoon. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We stayed in the hotel for a week and the hospitality was so great. The stuff was really nice they were polite and smiley people. The view from the roof garden was breathtaking and the pool was a nice place to relax and drink many cocktails. The room was so comfortable and the bed big enough. The breakfast was ideal for all the tastes. I would visit this property for sure next summer.

We first visited this hotel in June 2019. We had a room on the Ground floor with the private pool. From the first moment we felt like home as the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was luxurious very spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable and huge. Having a room with our own private pool was just brilliant to the point that we didn't really go anywhere just spent a week chilled out we didn't really have to go anywhere as we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay that much that we booked to return on the 5th August this year again at the same place in the same room. This year was different. Quiet but beautiful. Not a lot of people because of the pandemic, but we really enjoyed everything again. The manager of the Hotel was there all the day and cares about everything. Like last year. Working very hard but the results of her job were really excellent. The most important, we felt safe. The hotel has done a good job adapting to required COVID procedures. Disinfectant dispensers available everywhere and all staff wear masks. Only one note. The owner has to be care more for the building. Need a bit renovation. For sure we'll come back again next year. Thank you for everything.

This place is not a 3star more a budget hotel, one thing I will say is any complaints about this hotel then don’t wait until you get home then slag the place off on here, we had a word with our tui rep and he spoke to the owners who after that went out of there way to do anything they could for us, so any complaints speak to makita who runs the place during the day. That said the standard of food was not up to expectations with no variety and no Greek choices, but what can you expect when they told us they only get a budget of 25euros per guest per day,one thing I did complain about was the food was left uncovered for long periods and was always cold so we ate out most days, also the beer was served in little plastic cups and three times they ran out of beer at nine thirty in the eve, they also stopped serving free beer at ten o’clock and charged you 2.50euros a half. Rooms were basic and the towels felt like you were drying yourself in sandpaper they were that rough, I feel quite sorry for this place as they are trying there hardest to run this place on a very tight budget and doing there best they can,but sorry to say they are failing and I for one will not be going back, all I can say is go there and make your own mind up.

Have spent one of the best weeks holiday in a long while. All the staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful and want to make sure you are happy - from arriving to positive front of house & bellhops onward. The room was spotless, the staff brilliant - another towel (long hair) no problem, 2 pool towels not a problem - and they were always smiling! The food was excellent at dinner - I was on half board (not usual for me) yet the Michael could not have been lovelier - offering alternatives which weren't on the menu when it was something I couldn't eat through to choosing a table where I could eat and read my book (single travellers there was not the usual tucking us out of the way at a bad table or making one feel out of place because we were just one. Brilliant!) Pool is super - whilst I know I've been at the end of their season, the pool area was spacious and well furnished, with the actual pool stunning - never was there anyone else in there with me. (Maybe the other guests also liked the feeling of it being their "own pool". Easy walking into either the old town, new town or the coast (good, safe walking). Again a must for the single female traveller who likes to explore. I must give a massive amount of praise to the spa team and particularly the hairdressers - I arrived in a mess and by day 5 was the best I felt in years! Never been brave enough to have my hair done away before - but the hairdressers who have the contract with the hotel were superb. Long way to come for a cut, colour & highlights but even if it was just a blow dry to make one feel special. Finally, one of the best check-out/late leave operations I've had in a while - none of the "extra" charge sharing a "checkout room" with a given time slot, you use the spa facilities: showers, lockers for handbags/etc, hairdryers, fluffy towels and lovely products so you swan out to meet your airport taxi feeling great. I would highly recommend. My only areas for improvement and advice to fellow travellers are: > Breakfasts: Whilst good choice most hotels I've stayed at of this standard offer "to order" item, such as soft boiled, poached or fried eggs for example. Plus the cereal choice was limited (3). The toasters were annoying as there was no "eject" button. Things do get cold very quickly from serving dish to table. > Rooms: rear rooms 1st floor and near to lift a no-no if you're a light sleeper > Music (pool area for sure): same loop each day

Before I begin, Alexandra (who is the sommelier, waitress, receptionist, a bit of everything really) delivered service that would not be out of place at some of the best hotels in the world. She was insanely knowledgable of the wine on offer (which was also all Greek and delicious), always had time to help and always had a twinkle in her eye. I'm sure she was smiling as well, but we had to wear facemasks so I couldn't see! If I ever return to Rhodes, I will want to stay here and drink more of the fantastic wine Alexandra recommends. Upon arrival, we had a complimentary bottle of wine in our room and a plate of fresh fruit, perfect after a flight from London. Yes, the rooms are on the smaller side, but they are designed in such a way that makes the most of the space on offer. Half the fun of this room is sleeping in a wine cellar! Our room was spotlessly clean too. The outside terrace is the perfect little sun trap and perfect for an evening drink. Breakfast was delicious, an authentic greek affair with really great coffee. It's served ala carte so you know everything is freshly prepared. The location, perfect for being in the old town. While it's a 15/20 min walk to the main beach, it was perfect for my partner and I who usually pottered around on our way to and from the sea. All in all, a fantastic hotel, run by fantastic people, with a selection of wine that's to be admired.

Stayed here for a week in September and had a brilliant holiday from start to finish. The staff were so friendly and accommodating to everything, the barmen would start to remember your orders after a while and all waiters/waitresses in the restaurants were lovely - despite working extremely long hours. Rooms were clean and comfortable, pool area lovely (never struggled to get a sunbed which is good!) and the cocktails were really nice. Beach was rather pebbly, but other than that the sunbeds along the beach were comfortable too, and the sea is beautiful (there is a slight dip in the seabed so part of it is rather deep, but once you're past this bit, you can stand up and walk around in the sea). I really liked the fact that both a-la carte restaurants are open at lunch time for guests to enjoy rather than just the buffet restaurant. The greek poolside a-la carte is delicious - recommend a gyros!!! Only thing I would suggest that the hotel could improve on would be the evening entertainment as it was quite poor. The idea of the quizzes were great, but could have been carried out a bit better, that's all. Another point; this hotel is right under the flight path so expect noise especially in peak times - didn't spoil our holiday at all, and we will definitely be returning to this hotel if we choose to visit Rhodes again. Thank you.

Let's get the thorns out of the way first. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is hot water. The only source is a solar heater with a rather small reservoir that suffices for max 2 consecutive showers. Then, out of the blue, cold water and one must wait for 2 hours. Another detail is the lack of shampoo and shower gel which we sourced locally. This was a real surprise compared to the rest of the amenities. The good stuff... Great apartment with every appliance one may need. Good quality linen and mattresses for a pleasant sleep. Coffee and tea capsules included. And a fruit basket and a bottle of wine as a welcome treat. Please do something for the shower issue. Cover this and TripAdvisor should add a couple of stars more! As for the rest, great place for a family, any

Nice clean rooms, very kind and friendly hosts and fairly good food at an affordable price. Sheets and towels are changed every day. Also room is cleaned every day. Room doesn't have many hangers and similar stuff for hanging beach towels. Also there are not many drawers for the wardrobe, but that is not a big deal if you stay for a short period. It would be nice that brekfast sometimes include some of the local food products and appetizers which would make breakfasts more diverse, therefore making this lovely hotel to stand out from man other similar hotels.

Would highly recommend this hotel, we visited when the Thomas cook fiasco happened and honestly we had heard so many horror stories about other hotels that we were dreading what laid ahead of us but I can’t praise the hotel and especially the staff who asked us were we ok and could they help in any way, Kaliopi was a ray of sunshine in the buffet area and so too was the boss who both made our holiday special as they would go above and beyond to make it feel we were the only ones there!, bar staff were amazing and by the end of the holiday they had even memorised what we were drinking and would just bring our drinks over, excellent location as only approx 25 minute stroll into Rhodes town centre, rooms were clean and tidy.

Stayed 16 nights in a twin/double room: breakfast has a good selection of mostly Greek foods which is lovely and with some daily variations. Staff are friendly and all have adequate to good English. Ideal location to beaches on both windy West and hotter East side and to Old Town as well as lots of restaurants and shops all around. Hotel facilities include: lots of sun loungers in both sun and shade, sofas in lobby, bar with international drinks, two outdoor sitting and eating areas at the front and back of the hotel so you can choose where you want the sun to be, great value combo meals and a la care menu (including room service to be enjoyed on private balcony at no extra charge), fridge in room to keep bottles of water cold, plenty of storage with drawers and wardrobe space. One reviewer complained about big & heavy room key: we always left ours with reception so we didn't have to carry it around!

As I read the reviews I keep agreeing with all the poor comments. The pictures on the website make the property out to be first rate. The location though is fantastic. Our first encounter was the gentleman on reception. More like the fill in night porter as he had no personality. When we saw the bathroom it looked like something out of the movie set of the flintstones. I couldn't even say it was 1970s bathroom it wasn't even just tired, it was dirty. Had no soap in the dispenser in the shower for 3 days and had to keep asking reception to organise. The towels were so thin you could shoot peas through them! The fact they didn't have a safe in the room I could accept. But to ask to rent a locker for my valuables. Seriously, that takes me back to the 70's. The breakfast was average and gave we up eating the tomatoes as they were so old they tasted off. I have to say the pool was nice and the lovely lady in the dining area in the afternoon was very enthusiastic and pleasant.

I stayed for three nights in this excellent hotel. I could not ask for more! The check-in was good and all staff were lovely and professional; also a good score for housekeeping, who I spoke with a few times in the morning, very polite lady and good cleaning. Room was overlooking the sea, with a balcony and lots of space, table and chairs, if you want consume your take away food in peace. The room was with twin beds pushed together, very comfy and clean. Big telly, plus kettle and tea/coffee complimentary. A safe in the wardrobe and plenty of space. Bathroom separate from shower which has a very huge walk-in shower and all amenities you need - spotless! It is located just ten minutes from town centre walking, and the beach just in front; also you can get the bus to the Airport for 2.50 euro, which takes only 30 minutes to get there. Poseidonia apartment booked via Appollo DK. In generel a little damage over the years (dont know how old it is..) some of their pictures and text from their webpage is old, they have been developed a bit for the better. Fx.They have four pools (two for adults and two for small kids. The poolbar area is bigger and they have a sunbeds area on top of the poolbar) the playground for children is ok, not much shadow so the sand is getting exremely hot if not wearing shoes. We did not have 'all inclusive' we are happy to make breakfast or have the free option to go out and eat. We had room 153, 155 and 254 (family of 8). Room 153 and 254 were same just different floor. Terrasse in here are not big. Both rooms had some issues. missing lights, "broken" maindoor, missing freezer door and water tap in kitchen needed to be clean) we info/noted reception and most of the issues were fixed same or day after, quick service. All three rooms had fully service equipment in the kitchen. Room 155 had a good size of terrasse and view to the beach (and main road..) There are no sandy beach on this side of Rhodos. If you go right when you leave the hotel approx. 400m you get a beach with small rocks instead of big rocks (opposite olympic palace hotel) we had all in all a good experience here

I stayed at this hotel for a week and really could have stayed a month or more. In my opinion: Perfect. Opposite the sea; short walk from the town; spotlessly clean and right from the friendly receptionists to the maitre‘d and waiters, everyone always had a smile and a welcoming word. The Manager was present to greet guests and when staff see that their manager is always hard at work, they take their cue from her to do the same. And they really, really do work very hard indeed. The hotel faces the sea and has a lovely aspect if you ask for a sea view room. It’s spotlessly clean and the chambermaids make sure they leave it spotless each day. The room is very comfortable. One complaint: the basin tap in the bathroom needs repairing… makes a lot of noise when opened slow – ok when fast. And the room could do with a few more hooks! The hotel takes sanitising very seriously with lots of sanitising liquid everywhere and temperatures taken each time guests walk into the hotel. Staff all wear masks & guests are required to do likewise. It looks quite easily the best hotel in the area… clean, friendly and within a few minutes walk one is near shops and restaurants. A easy ten minute walk takes one to the town centre & thence to the old town. There’s also a church within 7 minutes walk from the hotel for those who want to go on a Sunday. And if you’re a gambler the casino is literally next door! There’s a swimming pool alongside the bar and an outside covered drinks and dining facility in good weather. Also a narrow garden with chairs & tables at the back. The buffet breakfast is plentiful, with cereals, fruit and three types of eggs; meat, cheese. yogurt etc. Bread/croissants, butter/jam are brought to the table as is coffee. Now here is one complaint I have. The cups are too small (2 gulps & its gone!) and the waiters have to dash back & forth pouring coffee four & five times for a copious coffee drinker like me. (Next time I’ll bring my own large mug with me and save harassing the waiters.) Also I booked half board but the 5-course dinners were (in my opinion) so large that I had to keep requesting smaller portions. I would, however, have appreciated more Greek food instead of non-descript international cuisine, good though it was. After all, I was in Greece, looking forward to Greek food. But all in all I loved the hotel. The room had an (empty) mini fridge for one’s own stuff; wifi worked splendidly in both the lobby and in the bedroom; there was a complimentary safe in the room; a good umber of hangers (normally not so in many hotels); good quality complimentary toiletries; a cube with different sized sockets for people to charge their phones or use other appliances - a great help. I’ll be going back to the Mediterranean on my next visit to Rhodes….. and can’t wait.

We recently had a wonderful weeks holiday here, returning to Rhodes after nearly 15 years. This hotel is about 20 mins from Diagoras Airport, so not too long a Transfer time. it is in Ialyssos, a much nice resort than Ixia further up the coast, which is all huge faceless hotels. On our arrival we were welcomed by Savvas, who was a wonderful and helpful host during our week stay, helped by his lovely Mum and Dad. The Hotel is just off a large and crazy road junction - definitely use the crossings and keep your eyes peeled in all directions when you are crossing here. The Coach Transfer drops you off on this junction, so be careful when getting your cases and making your way to the hotel The Hotel is spotless, with a lovely Reception, Snack bar and lovely pool area. There is a lift which is very helpful with big cases, and after the occasional busy day. As in all Greece a small Tourist Tax of 50c a night is payable, and also extra to pay for is the Air-Con @ 45e per week - more than reasonable and well needed even in September - and also the safe which I think was approx. 15 e for the week - all standard prices for Greece, some people seem to think this should all be free, but its 2/3 star self catering not 5 star all inclusive - and certainly the prices are not exorbitant, and it is advisable to use these facilities. Our room was excellent, a fab size, twin beds- again standard for Greece, West facing Balcony - as all the rooms are, with comfy chairs and a table, and a nice view over to the Filerimos Mountain; Bathroom, small but adequate, good shower system though there was no shower tray to prevent water spreading out in to the whole bathroom, but careful usage prevented too many disasters. Towels were good, big fluffly and changed along with linen once in our weeks stay, Bins were done pretty much every day but one. Self catering is what it is, the basics, though we did have a small oven as opposed to just 2 hob rings, not that I ever cook while away, there was a toaster coffee machine kettle and basic cutlery mugs etc. enough for 2 people who only want to make drinks. Beds were comfy, plus there was a large sofa bed type of thing which was nice for lounging on. we had plenty of storage, and not to bad for plug sockets either . We did not encounter much in the way of Mosquitos on this trip, but wherever you go, we can only advocate the use of plug-in deterrents for the room and repellent coils for the Balcony. Even in mid-September, day temps were35/36c so nights were warm and sitting on the Balcony highly enjoyable, occasional noise from the busy junction, but nothing that spoiled our evenings. During the day it gets super hot on these West facing Balconies, and there is no blind or awning available to provide shade, so this may be time to make use of the lovely compact pool and sweet garden area. The Bar does all the usual drinks, Frappe Mythos etc, and there is a good choice of Snacks, Breakfast and lunches, a

Booked for a last minute week from 17th October. We booked a maisonette as that is all that was available at the time. We arrived at 7.00pm & check in was quick & easy. The receptionist was very pleasant & advised of times for the bar/restaurant and breakfast. She also asked how often we would like the maid service as they are limiting contact due to COVID. I was happy with every other day with the bins emptied every day. The maisonette was on the 3rd floor which was accessible by a lift. The room was spotless, with everything looking very new, including cutlery, crockery, kitchen equipment. The bathroom was lovely with free toiletries, good quality toilet roll (a luxury!) and big fat fluffy bath sheets. I was very happy! We got our towels changed every other day and sheets changed mid week. We also got more toilet roll all week which is not typical for Greece - you generally get 2 & have to get your own after that. The fridge, kettle & hot plates were partially under the stairs to the bedroom which was a little difficult to get to but, I was never planning on cooking a 3 course (or 1 course for that matter) meal. The stairs to the bedroom were a little steep & the bedroom ceiling was shaped so my husband couldn't stand up in his side but I could on mine. I had to climb over his bed to get to my side where the 1 & only upstairs plug socket was, which I need as I have a CPAP machine. This was my only gripe. The beds were really comfortable, with good quality bedding and pillows. We both slept really well. We ate in the restaurant the 1st night & as someone who is very fussy, I struggled as the food is more restaurant than bar food. The same menu is on through the day which I think is a little too much & a basic snack bar menu would be better as would the availability of snacks such as crisps, although there is a supermarket almost next door which sells everything you would ever need including fresh meat, fruit, cheeses etc. It is not open on a Sunday though, however there was another little supermarket on the main road (turn right), run by an English lady & her Greek husband who were really helpful & told us about the buses to Rhodes Town. The bar service in the hotel was super efficient & was very clean & well priced, although I did think it lacked a little atmosphere which I think could be down to the end of a very unusual season. The pool area was spotless & due to social distancing had less beds than in a usual season. The pool was relatively small but definitely adequate with plenty of inflatables for anyone to use. The poolside showers & toilets were really nice too. The location of the hotel is in a residential area & there was a dog next door who did bark when people walked past but it didn't spoil my relaxing by the pool. From the main road, Ixia beach is approx 15 minutes walk (to the left & turn right at Gregory's / Police station cross roads) and Ialyssos is approx 20 minutes walk to the right on the main road with a good

Pluses - Supermarket across the road, plenty of parking in the supermarket car park. Good, efficient laundry near the town. Minuses - Bathroom – Shower recess blocked, toilet cistern dripping, water not hot enough for a shower. Kitchen – Old dishcloth (bought a new one), no tea towels, inside cupboard not clean, minimum cutlery, over supply of crockery, limited utensils for cooking, no microwave. Lounge area – Reception of TV programs poor, Lounge positioned on the same wall as the TV so couldn’t watch the TV Bedrooms – Large beds pushed against the wall, so difficult to make bed. Bed cover was too large for bed and couldn’t be tucked in near the wall, bed was made with one sheet over the mattress, another sheet provided for guest to place on the bed – difficult to make due to position of bed and sheet not large enough for the bed.. Mosquitoes in the room. Beware of the request for an extra 4 Euros for ‘Tax’ when paying the bill as tax was already included in our quote. Did not receive a receipt for this extra 4 Euros. Photos on internet photo shopped – didn’t reflect what was in the apartment. Garden access is through the family home – apartments not linked to garden. Staggered how they received a 9 in Trip Advisor. Would give a 5 at most. Will definitely not stay there again.

Me and my friend stayed in Rhodes for one week at Amaryllis hotell, and we had a wonderful stay. The staff is super friendly, and the rooms are very clean. Its super well located, its a 2 minute walk to the beach or to bar-street. There is a lot of good places to eat right by the hotell, but our favorite spot was the hotells own resturant, they have so much good food and drinks. (The best strawberry Daquiri in all of Rhodos). We really enjoyed our stay here, and we will be back!

Congo Hotel is a great place to stay while in Rhodes. Of course, if you’re expecting grand bedrooms with breakfasts worthy of the biggest of five-star hotels, it might not be for you. When me and my family travelled to Rhodes, we stayed at the hotel as it was fairly close to everything: old town, beaches, restaurants, supermarkets etc. There were plenty of restaurants to keep us from returning to the same place twice, however we did prefer to dine in the old town. The staff was very accommodating and great at making you feel welcome. When leaving the hotel for the day, they offered to take care of your keys and starting the second day we didn’t even need to tell them our room number to get it back as they remembered us well enough to just hand it over. Also, several times when we were waiting in the lobby for our company before leaving, they would bring us ice water which was a very nice gesture. The rooms were also good. The bed was pretty big, and although some people complained about it being hard I wasn’t bothered by it at all - and I’m usually a very picky person. There was also a fridge to use and the air conditioning unit worked great. With that being said, this is not a hotel that you should go to if you’re looking for the all inclusive, resort-style experience, but if you’re like us and looking more for a place to sleep at night and rest in-between your exploration of the island, it’s a great place to stay.

Let me start by saying for the low price paid (due to corona?) the Room with balcony in such a central location was nice and good price value Praise for the very friendly and helpful reception staff! I was offered ealry check-in and free late checkout and help with bus transport and bike rental. My room on the 3 floor seemed to have not been used for some days and i found it a bit dusty. Furniture was in good condition. There is a water boiler but unfortunately no complimentary coffee or amenities are provided (not even on request). The bathroom amenities are hand soap and a big bottle of shampoo. (did not felt very hygienic in these covid times, would have preferred single use portions) The room is a decent size and the bathroom is well maintained even when not the most modern one. Room cleaning was on request only but clean towels were provided and waste removed. As the neighbourhood is part of the nightlife of Rhodos it can be some noisy during weekends but that did not bother me. There are 2 mini supermarkets opposite the hotel. As reviews praised the breakfast buffet I looked forward to that. However due to corona room delivery breakfast came from a nearby restaurant (self order via webform) Personally not my style to eat from a box in stead of a plate when in a hotel. Besides: nothing worse then the luke warm coffee
