Zadar
|2.47km from city centerWe went as a couple and were very impressed with the food and drink provided as half board. The 3 course dinner was of gourmet standard and the buffet at breakfast, lunch and dinner, catered for every desire (and a dozen more!). Wine and beer was provided at both lunch and dinner. Staff were very accommodating, even providing us a lovely picnic hamper for a day out. The beaches in Zadar were disappointing compared to other countries we have travelled but the grounds at the hotel were idyllic with the ocean behind (we enjoyed this even more so, as opted for a superior room which overlooked the ocean). This is definitely a ‘quiet’ retreat for adults (couples or friends), the staff were very courteous and provided some lovely touches like pre-dinner cocktails and a cinema evening around the pool. I’m already trying to think of an occasion (or an excuse!) to go back, so I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for anyone considering a holiday in Zadar.

Zadar Old Town
Zadar
|0.68km from city centerFirst off let me say Zadar was one our top faves on our trip to Croatia. It was less crowded and had a different vibe than other locations. We felt very safe during our entire visit to Croatia and Zadar was no exception. My wife and I stayed there for 4 nights. Luxury Rooms Kadena has 3 rooms and they are a very good value for the money. We were in room 3 and enjoyed it very much. The place was immaculate and very comfortable. The woman that takes care of the rooms daily was very friendly and helpful. The location is right in the heart of Old Town so you will have to walk to it from Sea Gate which is less than 5 minutes. We took a taxi from the bus station to there for 50 HRK (~$7.50 USD). The doorway is situated between 2 restaurants and you will need to use the stairs as no lift is available. We are both in our 60s and this was never an issue. One of the benefits of its location is that many times we found it convenient to go there for a quick rest, drop off purchases, etc. From the doorway there is a small market about 40 feet away. We purchased yogurt, tea, etc. there and made use of the rooms nice supplies of cereals, fruits, etc. to supplement these for breakfast. An espresso machine is also available. The tub was a great touch and the bathroom was wonderful with a large shower and dual sinks. The bed was very comfortable and we slept fine. There are a couple things to consider though. The rooms are in a very close environment with narrow streets and cafes that are open at night and the voices and sounds will filter up to you. Being from the country where we are used to crickets and owls at night, this was a pleasant surprise and part of the culture. The second item is that each morning at 7AM the church tower bells ring long and hard. Again, this wasn’t an issue for us as it was about the time we would have been getting up anyway and is also part of the charm. There were also plenty of European outlets available but no USB ports. WiFi is available but it tended to drop the signal on occasion. What I believe was a signal booster unit was next to the door and unplugging it and plugging it back in brought it on-line again. A TV is also available. If you are going to Croatia I recommend you place Zadar on your list and the Luxury Rooms Kadena is a great place to stay.

|0.76km from city centerThe hotel is located inside the walled old city, so you'll need to park outside. If you're getting dropped off the quickest way (about 5 mins) is through the new gate (Nova vrata) and go straight along Ul. Jurja Barakovica to Narodni Square (Narodni trg). The hotel is around the corner from the Ethnographic Museum by going down Ul. Široka. At the ground floor is the NOMU sushi & wine bar, the entrance to the hotel however is just around the corner, off a laneway (Ul. Majke Margarite). There is no lobby just a small counter at the back of the restaurant. The hotel is small, with three rooms to a floor. The rooms themselves are modern, clean and relatively spacious, with a large ensuite bathroom. The bed was super comfortable, it had good functioning a/c and the windows out over the street were fairly well soundproof, with blackout curtains. The breakfast was served at our table on a three-tier tray, with croissants, meat, breads, jams, and cheese. They also provide coffee, freshly squeezed juice and eggs to the order. We did get a bit confused with the parking arrangements at first however it appears you don't pay for your parking but wait to get a parking infringement. Once you get one infringement you don't get any further infringements and then you just pay the infringement online. This is a great little modern hotel perfectly located in the middle of the old town, which means it is within walking distance of all the shops, attractions and restaurants in Zadar.

|0.9km from city centerWe only have one day in zadar and we are super glad that we have chosen to stay here! The owner and staff are friendly and very helpful-thanks a lot! The room is big and very guest-friendly. The owner knows all the details to include in a room! (With nice decorations as well) There is free coffee and tea in a nice small kitchen area with stove, kettle, fridge and cleaning detergents for your usage. There is also shampoo and soap in the bathroom. We can park our car at the free parking space. We want to say a huge thank you to the owner who waited us after normal check-in time. Our ride to Zadar had a bit if hiccup and we were also stuck in the traffic, which delayed our time to arrive at the villa for check-in. Thanks for the owner’s patience and help!!

|1.57km from city centerAfter we booked flights to Zadar in the short term, the search for an appropriate accommodation became more difficult: how to link a bathing holiday with an attractive accommodation with the intended visit to the old town? This hotel on the Kolovare beach came into the narrow (2) selection, just the guest reviews did not meet high expectations. The hotel is renovated, rooms like older pictures in brown tones we have not seen, the rooms are in Turkish colours. Only the balconies could be decorated in a sustainable way. You come to the guest behind the barbecues that take the view of one, like in a harem. With little effort, you could end the grids up to the ballast wheel and make a small horizontal sun protection from the upper area. Otherwise everything is okay, from the friendliness of the staff, from the cleanliness, the quality of the food to the availability of high quality beds and sunscreens.

|0.76km from city centerWe spent a beautiful week at the Hotel Bastion, Zadar. It was our first visit to Croatia and to a Relais & Chateaux hotel. The hotel is situated just inside the ramparts of the Old Town offering a lovely view over the port area and is close to the historic centre of Zadar, a beautiful and interesting Roman city. The airport bus stops just below the hotel by the waterside (Stop: Zadar city center-Poluotok) which was very convenient. We had a most comfortable bedroom with a view over the water and we woke each morning to the sound of church bells. It was delightful! Breakfast each morning was varied, delicious, and elegantly served. We were made to feel most welcome by all of the staff we encountered. A huge thank you, therefore, to Jelka, Mario, Marina, and the breakfast team for looking after us so well. We would highly recommend Hotel Bastion to anyone thinking of visiting Zadar.

|0.88km from city centerWe truly loved our stay here - Elena was great fun, tireless, and a terrific resource in helping us plan our daily activities - our room was wonderful, we stayed in the annex in the Von Trapp room! The main building was formerly a French Military Hospital which was meticulously renovated to create a charming boutique hotel appointed with art on original stone and brick walls and a wonderful garden dining area for breakfast! The location is perfect - short walk to the Sea Organ in one direction and St Donatus and the Zadar Cathedral in the other! We also would highly recommend restaurant Corte at the hotel!

|0.74km from city centerThe first floor of the city is the Zadar's pedestrian artery, and it is a beautiful design despite the communalities and a decrepit building. No reception, it's more than an AirBnB... Clim and TV Sat did not work so much to say that he was doing 25 in the room after a night of “Clim” in a synthetic draps without anyone on the ground to remedy it... only contacts by Whatsapp with the host who asks us to make sure we have closed the window well, whether we have accurately set the TV or the air conditioning.... Take us for jams... Clim only works in your presence being triggered with the key of the apartment, otherwise you arrive in a furnace... In short, clean, little attention but the essential is not there. Ps only parking nearby 10kn/heure in season.

|0.72km from city centerThank you, Vlad! My husband and I are thankful for your hospitality and kindness to welcome us to your beautiful town. Vlad knows all of the inside scoops around his hometown, Zadar. He provides you insights, tips, and guidance to Zadar. He communicates with us daily and we really appreciate that. The check-in time is flexible and check-out is at 10:00am. We arrived late to check-in to the room and Vlad really accommodated. We are so thankful for his flexibility! The apartment location is right in the heart of Old Town in Zadar! It cannot get any better than that. We were able to wake up early and walk into Old Town without dealing with the morning and afternoon tour groups. The location is closed to a free parking lot which is about a five minute walk. There is a laundromat next to the apartment. It costs about 15 Kuna per load. There are a total of four apartment rooms. We stayed in Room 1. The room is clean and cozy. It has a few accommodations such as hair dryer, refrigerator, and air conditioning. The room is spacious for two people. There are rolls of extra toilet tissues inside the cabinet sink. The hot water is just enough to accommodate two people. Do not leave the hot water on while showering because your partner will not have hot water to shower next. Overall, my husband and I were so thankful for booking this apartment in Old Town. The location is fantastic. The host is amazing and accommodating. We enjoyed our time in Zadar!

|0.73km from city centerA boutique hotel remodeled from an old house, with a total of 12 rooms, which are slightly cramped in size, especially the bathrooms. It is very close to the sea, a few minutes walk to the sea organ, there are many restaurants around, and the location is super good. The breakfast area is very small, right next to the front desk, four tables and dining tables are all set up temporarily. Although the sparrow is small and well-equipped, apart from not freshly cooked, cold meals, meat, cheese, bread, dessert, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea bags, etc. are all available. Apple pie and cereal yogurt are also very delicious~ this is recommended for visiting Zadar Old Town. .

Zadar
|0.83km from city centerI would highly recommend this 4star guest accommodation within a 5 minute walk from Zadar old town center. The rooms are located on the first floor of a quiet residential building with separate and very secure access from the main building. When you arrive there is no reception area as such but the access hall has a little kitchenette and tourist information area. The owner was there to meet us when we arrived early and kindly let us leave our baggage there until the room was ready. We also asked to leave baggage there for a few hours on check out which was kindly facilitated. Rooms have been decorated beautifully to a very high standard and are spacious and comfortable with touches of luxury. Everything you could possibly need - air con, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, kettle and coffee maker with selection of teas and coffee pods, excellent Wi-Fi. There was also a bottle of beer and wine in our fridge which was a nice touch. Our room had a separate living area with tv which was lovely. The bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in with lovely bed linen. The room and bathroom were also spotlessly clean. We stayed for 3 days and there was no room service but that is what I would expect for this type of guest accommodation. Breakfast could be facilitated in a near by hotel but we didn’t avail of this service and were happy to do our own thing. The accommodation is a 1 minute walk from the waterfront and 1 minute walk to restaurants, shops etc. it really couldn’t have been a better location! the area was also lovely and quiet apart from some traffic noise you’d expect on the edge of a town center. I’ve already recommended Zadera Accommodation to family and would definitely stay here again if we return to Zadar. The owners were so lovely and accommodating and could be contacted by WhatsApp or phone call. Don’t hesitate to book this accommodation if you’re staying in Zadar! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The service is very good. We arrived at about 6 in the afternoon. Originally, there is no parking fee that night. The parking fee will be charged at 8 AM the next morning. When we check out at 11 AM the next morning, when we propose to pay the parking fee and city tax, both Waived. The location is very good. It is easy to find according to the navigation. It takes a few minutes to drive to the city center and there is a supermarket within a few minutes of walking.

|2.44km from city centerAbsolutely wonderful. We had a fab time. The food choice, quality and quantity was excellent. The drinks were all great quality and readily available, no waiting. Rooms were spacious, airy and bright. The children’s part of the room with bunk beds were a fantastic idea. Our kids loved it. The bathroom was huge and the bath was lovely and deep and filled quickly. The shower was powerful and was large. We loved the complimentary shower gel and shampoo. It smelled great. The entertainment both during the day and of a night was lovely. The animation team really went to a lot of trouble. We loved the family olympics. There are so many friendly and helpful staff working here that customer service is excellent. The hotel is situated on a small Sandy beach with bars and restaurants close by. We had a fabulous few days here at the end of a 3 week holiday on the islands. We will be back!

The host of this beautiful two bedroom 2 bathroom condo was super nice and very helpful, we did not have to search for anything because she had already showed us where everything would be. She also gave us great suggestions of places where to eat and places to go and explore. I would highly suggest you stay here, you will love your stay. The condo has a high level of fashion and very well made, the condo is a luxury. The best beds in all my trip in Croatia. This place is close to everything, and you will be in the middle of it all.

|2.16km from city centerWhat a friendly and nice hotel to be in! We had room 108 which was just perfect - it had a balcony and a small fridge. The swimming pool was nice and had just enough beds around it. After exploring Zadar and its environment it was just great to get back there. It doesn’t seem like the typical hotel where you bring your young children, which just made it perfect for us (as it limits the crowd at the swimming pool and breakfast ;)). We had a half-board stay and the evening dinners are not the typical buffet style, but a 3 or 4 course meal with options for meat, fish or vegetarian. We loved it!

|2.14km from city centerIt is 20min car from Zadar airport and better get left right at the corner of the Konsum supermarket to find the hotel's parking right in the entrance. It is a very simple, but quite comfortable family home, and a certain distance from the historic centre. No luxury should be expected, the rooms are quite basic with enough for a few days, with two fridge, TV with only Croatian and German channels, powerful air conditioning, few takes, a very large bathroom and reliable internet. Some rooms have a very large balcony, the neighborhood is quiet and breakfast is quite simple, with cheeses and incl., bread and geleas, yoghurt and omelet. There is no much tradition of juices and/or fruits in Europe as in Brazil, so no similar thing should be expected. All staff is very friendly and requested.

|0.71km from city centerVery stylish and functional, in the middle of the quirky old town, directly on the main shopping street. Every two days the towels are exchanged and shortly cleaned, which we felt very pleasant. When windows and window shops are completely closed, you can hear little from outside, but otherwise there is a lot of trouble. About the corner is a small supermarket that also opens Sundays. The best bars and restaurants as well as a dm just outside the door. From the bus stop ”Centar Poluotok” about 5 min walking distance. Sara has received us very warmly and explained everything and given great tips for the city. We have felt well around here and enjoyed coming back!
