We booked the Cebu Suite, but when we arrived the hotel, they said my room is not available. The hotel said because the agency had late payment and the room is no longer available. Trip.com tried to help me but it took me an hour to settle the problem. Actually I am not satisfied because I contacted Trip.com before my trip to confirm the room again but they said the room is reserved for me. If they checked more carefully would make my trip more smooth. Luckily they helped me to settle the problem. During the stay, the room is a bit old, I want more blankets and towels for my kids but they didn’t provide. The waterpark is good, the breakfast is okay, the staff are nice. I booked this hotel with my 11 year daughter to have my birthday staycation. The hotel was quite new and designs are modern. Check in was very smooth with very kind polite front desk officers. I was allowed to have an early check in as the hotel wasnt fully booked at that time and was kind to offer me a room upgrade. I politely declined the upgrade as the bed configuration wasnt suited for me and my daughter. We wanted a twin bed and the room upgrade was for one queen sized bed only. The size of our room was relatively small for a twin bed room. Its roughly 21sqm in size and it kinda tight when all your luggages and things have been all around the room. The Buffet breakfast was on the average side, Hot dishes werent kept warm and choices was kinda limited. But for the average kind of breakfast spread, I wouldnt complain more. The hotel is very near (I mean walking distance) to 7/11 convenience Stores, good quality restaurants nearby , Mcdonalds, Mactan Alfresco etc... I love the ambiance of the community ... its like a little city within a small community. Not that I really didnt like that much, but it was just something that I didnt appreciated much... its the hotel's pool that looks like blurry and wasnt kept clean by the time we went to visit the area. The prices at the bar was kinda pricey and wouldnt offer any happy hour during the day. The Surroundings of the pool area werent kept clean and aesthetically pleasing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Savoy. From$38

Plantation Bay is again my favorite hotel on Mactan. I was there August of 22, January of this year and just finished a stay in May. Here are some things to consider about Plantation Bay: - It’s the only large Filipino owned resort on Mactan and they must treat there staff incredibly well because everyone I spoke with has worked there 10+years - unlike other resorts they have a no tipping policy - The large salt water lagoons are beautiful and large enough that they never feel crowded - Plantation Bay offers a variety of food options for every taste - They have a wide variety of on site activities and offer multiple excursions outside the resort for reasonable prices To be fair there were a couple of things that could improve but those are minor - The beach towels need to be replaced. The bathroom towels are great but the beach towels were old and thin - During busy periods when you call bell service or guest relations the phone just rings with no answer. Overall though, this is the best place to stay on Mactan. Great service, unique activities, great staff, and some of the best swimming pools anywhere Here are some tips: - if you are not traveling with kids, the waters edge rooms are amazing. You can step from your deck directly into the lagoon - Consider the Route 66 Diner for breakfast. Good food and never crowded -A romantic dinner at Palermo’s is a great option on site - I paid the extra $50 to have a car drop us off and pick us up at our room and it was definitely worth it. Positive:
Hotel is nice and clean. Closer to airport which is 30mins drive.
Buffet breakfast was good as well.
Hotel staffs are courteous and helpful.
Negative:
Looks like the toilet were not cleaned during our 5 days stay.
The taps were dirty and rusty. Had to rotate. Called for maintenance but in the end said they will send someone else to rectify and no one came.
Sink was clogging even with little water.
Far away from all the major activities like Oslob whale shark watching and canyoneering.

Its was an anniversary trip, and had been waiting for long time due to staff were checking the anniversary setup of the room, and ended it up give me the room, but there is nothing different from normal room. I called and asked whats the arrangement, they said to call me back but they still didnt do anything. It was ok to me, but not made me waiting so long by saying its arranged. Hair dryer is broken, coral are mostly dead but still a lot fish. Other than that, everything is great!From$301

It was much better than expected. After booking I read a couple of reviews left here in trip advisor. I had wanted to cancel, but that was not an option. We decided to make the best of it since it was Mother's Day and my birthday. I lived through Odette. Had no MECO service for 3 months. I didn't see any signs of Odette damage. If it was there it wasn't glaring. The pools are well maintained. The beach was fine. The food isn't as bad as others have written though it is a little pricy if you're used to food prices in Cebu. The tourists mostly from Japan won't think the prices are high. I asked a Japanese couple why they had chosen this resort. They told me it was part of a tour package. Japanese love tour packages where everything is selected for them. I know. I lived there for 27 years. There is a cycle for their breakfasts. Ours was on a Monday so it was: Continental Filipino American. Funny thing.. corned beef is in the American breakfast. Oh sorry. No Canadian breakfasts. Haha. The rooms were fine. The ”air con” was strong and so was the hot water in the shower. No problem. OMG! There were a few ants. Hahaha. So what. It's the Philippines. They're everywhere. The staff was courteous and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The door latch in room 505 needs to be reversed. It comes right off when you open the door. From$61

Liked · Well-located, close to malls, businesses and restaurants. Just about 15-20 minutes to the airport by taxi, maximum. Room was huge and had a safe for valuables. Disliked · Where do I begin? I had to book this property last-minute, after my AirBnB cancelled on me also on the same day of arrival. The free shuttle they advertised came one hour late and only after I called at least 5 times once I arrived (and they picked-up the phone only twice). I arrived late to work remotely because of this. It did not get much better after that, as the restaurant food was WAY overpriced (much more expensive than in the USA or Europe, no less), and so were the snacks offered (if you get hungry, just walk across the street to Robinson's or SM and get something to eat there). The internet kept going down, at some point, 3 times within the same 2 hours (lost much more time of work because of this, and it was just a mess). I stayed here for 3 nights and NOT ONCE was the room cleaned or tidied up. The shower had low water pressure, and the bathroom also had a couple of very tiny cockroaches that came out at night. My wife, son, and I went there for my birthday. We wanted to try a new resort in Cebu. Wow were we overwhelmed and surprised. The Sheraton staff treated us with kindness and as if we had been there multiple times. Every single staff member greeted us. From the housekeeping to the guards at both entrances. They even took my son by the hand and kept him entertained while we were checking in. They gave him popcorn. I was also shocked at the one restaurant when they sang happy birthday and gave me a wonderfully delightful cake. It was so smooth and silky. The food was also perfect and tender. The sauce for the fries was very creamy and tasty. For the first time in the almost twelve years in Cebu, even having been to numerous Cebuano resorts including Shangri-la everything was 100 percent perfect. The wifi was strong and no lag, the food was perfect, parking perfect, staff were perfect, beach and pool were clean and perfect. We even go to feed the fish as well which the guard at the water activities area gave us. I mean it was all around perfect for the first time here in Cebu. At Breakfast they even gave me a thank you cake for staying there. I couldn't believe it. It really felt homey and that warm feeling. For the money we spent it was 100 percent worth it. Perfect place to stay if you have a flight soon. They provide lots of amenities and even give toothbrushes, toothpaste, which most hotels don’t. Got there a little earlier and they helped me and let me check in as most hotels have strict time policies. Only disappointing thing is that every time you go outside you have to leave your key with the front desk which is extremely annoying. The water in my shower was spraying all sorts of directions and the pressure wasn’t right so it was SOLD OUT

I would have given this hotel 5 Stars had it not been for: Taxi 40 minutes late at the airport, in spite of confirmation of time from the hotel; Some food items (including Coca Cola) not being available from the room service menu; and Water dripping from ceiling and soaking floor and bed in heavy thunderstorm. So, in summary: The Good: Very polite and attentive staff at all times; Offer to relocate us to a different room on the second night (we were told we could not move on the first night - when we booked through Expedia they advertised this was the last room available. It was our choice to stay in the same room, as there was no forecast of further storms on the second - and final - night of our stay); Room service fast (typically 15 minutes) with a good selection of nice food and large portions. Food hot as well when it arrived; Good sized room and faciities; Food (and room service) from the adjacent Rabbit Hole restaurant all good; and Staff immediately replaced the bed sheets and made sure no further water impacted on the bed area. The Bad: Taxi late; Some food items not available from the room service menu; and The room service is from the Rabbit Hole restaurant so has to be paid for when it arrives in your room - the cost cannot be added to your bill. The Wet: Unfortunately, on our first night (of two) there was a very heavy thunderstorm and whilst I was watching the lightning I also noticed water dripping through the ceiling, which soaked the floor and bed sheets. I stayed here twice in April & May 2023 and was consistently impressed with the staff & the property. The staff was very friendly, helpful, accommodating and very courteous. The deluxe room had a great view, was large, clean, modern and very comfortable all around. The buffet breakfast was excellent with good selection of Western and Pilipino dishes. And the table service was excellent—shout out to Ariel and staff for a very attentive service! I was also pleasantly surprised at the quality & selection of drink’s & pastries at the Cafe also punctuated by excellent service. The property has 3 great pools, a small private beach , picnic area & fitness center. For me the only service missing is the food room service but it’s a minor item for what I needed. The location is an about 30 min from Mactan airport in a secluded gated area. Getting here was through local neighborhood and inconvenient from other restaurants & services so you’re pretty much will be staying on the property unless you want to go out for a long drive. I paid 650 pesos for a Grab ride around noon time from IT park to Reef. I have been to many 5 star Western style resort hotels in US, Europe & Asia and Reef compares well especially if you can book a discounted room for less than $150 USD. Overall, I highly recommend the Reef Island Resort hotel and will return again when I’m in the area. Definitely a good value for the money and excellent staff. From$130

I was looking for a hotel near the airport and near the grocery and restaurants during a recent trip to Cebu. My usual stay had a big price increase and since it was far from the airport, I tried looking for a new hotel. I used to stay at other hotels near Felicity and thought that the prices were a bit steep for hotels without pools. I chanced on them while browsing Google Maps and gave them a call. It's good that they had a vacancy and so I made my way from the client site to the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with the bright lobby. The single room, though, had a weird layout with the sink just behind the door but not inside the bathroom. Still it was value for money because it had hot and cold water, a cool air conditioner, a refrigerator, a flat screen TV and clean sheets. Since it was just beside the highway, I expected to hear scooters darting across. Well, most of the noise came from fellow guests walking through the corridors after making bar crawls, I guess. Aside from that, the hotel is great value for money. I'm looking forward to staying with them in future trips. From$17

First I must say that my GF and I have stayed at about 10 hotels on Lapu-Lapu Island. All budget or mid-range priced. All in the last 6 months. The AOSMEC is the lowest priced of the group. All other hotels were 2 to 3 times the price of AOSMEC. The simple truth is that my one week stay at the AOSMEC was the best!!!. Yes it is a basic Hotel with no frills or a pool. But if that's what you are looking for? This hotel is simply perfect. PROS: WIFI speed is extremely good since every floor as it's own router. The hotel is extremely clean. It simply is irreproachable. You always see someone cleaning morning to night. Cable TV is very good with brand new TV'S This hotel is Familly owned by phillipino's and they make sure clients are happy. So any issue that might come up. Is dealt with very quickly and correctly. The room cleaning is upon request but just ask and it's done quickly and perfectly! The owners completely understand what a budget traveller needs and they don't overcharge. You can get anything you need on a ”a la carte” basis. Example: we got some laundry done. The price was about 15% higher then doing it ourselves at a laundramat self serve service. If you factor in tranportion cost to get to and from the laundromat. It's less expensive through the hotel. WOW! The clientele is a mix of locals and foreigners. And all are happy with the rooms and services received. The hotel is soo well managed that it is expanding. About 20 rooms are being added. AND THESE ROOMS ARE NICER! 5 Rooms are 95% completed. I visited one. Cons: the restaurant is basic. It's geared more torwards the local clientele. But there are many good restaurants within walking distance and this should not be a concern. There is also a convenience store right next to the hotel. Not even 30 seconds away. It is about 30 minutes away from the airport. Taxis are a bit more scarce but with the Grab app.(like Huber) that issue goes away. This place is the perfect budget hotel that actually beats out most mid range hotels at 3x the price. We had an amazing weekend getaway in Palm Beach Resort.
Location was ok. It wasnt the best location BUT it has a 711 just across the road and the hotel has a nice store in their lobby that sells snacks, drinks, swimsuits, swimming things, etc on a very reasonable price.
We originally booked a standard room but upon checking in, they upgraded us to a deluxe room which i was so grateful for. It was a nice, big room. It has a small balcony, tv with cable, split type aircon, 1 double bed, 1 single bed, 1 sofa, mini fridge, mini kitchen area (no utensils though just sink and electric kettle), and bathroom. The room itself was so nice however, the bathroom could have been thought better. Water pressure isnt that great especially if theres a lot of guests in the hotel. Im just a bit sad they didnt clean our room for the 3 days we stayed. Also, next door resorts might kinda be loud at night or during mornings.
The amenities were beautiful. They have 4 swimming pools: a small 2ft pool and 3 good sized pool thats 1x 4ft and 2x 5ft deep. Everywhere you go in their beach area has places to sit on. They have a small restaurant, a mini chapel, a small game room (billiards, foosball, and sungka), and my favorite: kid’s play area with slides and playhouse. Its a small resort but amenities were well thought of. They also have access to the sea. No beach though but stairs going to the sea water only.
The staff were nice. Very kind and accomodating.
Price per room is super duper worth it!! With how big the room is and amenities you and your kids can enjoy, its really great! As long as you are not that picky, then this resort is good for you.
Overall, we had a good time. My kids has a wonderful time. Will we stay here again? Why not. It sure is a nice resort.

From the greeting upon entry to the quality of food and the attentiveness we received, the entire time was incredible. We had the four cheese pizza, fresh lumpia, Laing and other items. there are about six or seven old buildings five and six stories high. some are apartments, some sold as condos, some are managed long term stay and clockwork orange owns or leases twenty or so and pretends they are a luxury suite for travelers . clockwork patrons share all common areas like elevators and halls with all walks of life. the pool clockwork shows is not accessible to clockwork patrons. their pool is a postage stamp surrounded by six stories on all sides with balconies flying laundry and residents sitting smoking or doing just nothing. this is a place for poor people we were in two rooms after refusing the first one which had no lock at all on the patio door and other issues. the second was very nice in appearance but the bathroom drains had to be picked out with your fingernails to drain, one very nice large tv did not work, there was no soap or shampoo which took about three hours to get finally there is nothing in the neighborhood. its 7 to 15 minute walk to any services like seven eleven on a very busy two lane road with no sidewalks. No Thanks to that the ”captive” hotel store had almost nothing on the shelves. there is a cafe on the first floor two with a fast food menu painted on the facade. the only possible use for this place might be to overnight relative to flying. it is close to the airport btw, the staff and esp marriane were great although marriane was obvious the girl friday of the place. although i need maintenance i think marriane was it. i never saw security anywhere in the entire complex. marriane did part of the housekeeping in addition to all of the client management of check and check out. give clockwork orange a wide berth!!From$36

We stayed 1 week in this hotel with 9 rooms only 👍 Rooms with sea view very spacious and very functional / very large bathroom with shower in Italian 👌et has a refrigerator and a safe 👍 It is We are cleaning every day: made beds; changed wallpapers and renewed products 👍 However, air conditioning in the room is very noisy and few possible settings ! ☹️ Breakfast is offered either in buffet or on the map: coffee; bread; butter confectionery; fruit; juice and various dirty dishes 👍 The restaurant of the hotel is right, as you have several restaurants around. During our stay we were surprised that the hotel is accompanied by a reception room (belonging to the hotel) which organizes: various weddings and evenings especially the weekend of Friday to Sunday night 🤔 Therefore, The tranquility of the places is very disturbed ! Here are some things to consider about Plantation Bay: - It’s the only large Filipino owned resort on Mactan and they must treat there staff incredibly well because everyone I spoke with has worked there 10+years - unlike other resorts they have a no tipping policy - The large salt water lagoons are beautiful and large enough that they never feel crowded - Plantation Bay offers a variety of food options for every taste - They have a wide variety of on site activities and offer multiple excursions outside the resort for reasonable prices To be fair there were a couple of things that could improve but those are minor - The beach towels need to be replaced. The bathroom towels are great but the beach towels were old and thin - During busy periods when you call bell service or guest relations the phone just rings with no answer. Overall though, this is the best place to stay on Mactan. Great service, unique activities, great staff, and some of the best swimming pools anywhere Here are some tips: - if you are not traveling with kids, the waters edge rooms are amazing. You can step from your deck directly into the lagoon - Consider the Route 66 Diner for breakfast. Good food and never crowded -A romantic dinner at Palermo’s is a great option on site - I paid the extra $50 to have a car drop us off and pick us up at our room and it was definitely worth it. You get checked in/out at your room saving time Highly recommend this great hotel

The property has 3 great pools, a small private beach , picnic area & fitness center. For me the only service missing is the food room service but it’s a minor item for what I needed. The location is an about 30 min from Mactan airport in a secluded gated area. Getting here was through local neighborhood and inconvenient from other restaurants & services so you’re pretty much will be staying on the property unless you want to go out for a long drive. I paid 650 pesos for a Grab ride around noon time from IT park to Reef. I have been to many 5 star Western style resort hotels in US, Europe & Asia and Reef compares well especially if you can book a discounted room for less than $150 USD. Overall, I highly recommend the Reef Island Resort hotel and will return again when I’m in the area. Definitely a good value for the money and excellent staff.

The location of the resort is also close to the restaurants run by Korean presidents.
There is a Korean restaurant seafood restaurant in about 10 minutes and there is also a good massage shop and cafe.
Good smell from the towel
The breakfast is a small buffet but the taste is good.

|1.85km from city centerWe booked the Cebu Suite, but when we arrived the hotel, they said my room is not available. The hotel said because the agency had late payment and the room is no longer available. Trip.com tried to help me but it took me an hour to settle the problem. Actually I am not satisfied because I contacted Trip.com before my trip to confirm the room again but they said the room is reserved for me. If they checked more carefully would make my trip more smooth. Luckily they helped me to settle the problem. During the stay, the room is a bit old, I want more blankets and towels for my kids but they didn’t provide. The waterpark is good, the breakfast is okay, the staff are nice. My kids enjoy the trip.

Positive:
Hotel is nice and clean. Closer to airport which is 30mins drive.
Buffet breakfast was good as well.
Hotel staffs are courteous and helpful.
Negative:
Looks like the toilet were not cleaned during our 5 days stay.
The taps were dirty and rusty. Had to rotate. Called for maintenance but in the end said they will send someone else to rectify and no one came.
Sink was clogging even with little water.
Far away from all the major activities like Oslob whale shark watching and canyoneering.

|2.85km from city centerOne of the best resort I stayed in Mactan. Their service are excellent and they have many pools that you can swim. The room is clean & complete and the best part is that they have balcony.
The buffet is okay and I just hope that they can add more. Nonetheless, I will definitely come back again.
