I got married on 02/22/20 and we used this hotel for our wedding block. Just a minute or two down the road from my venue, the location could not be more convenient. The hotel was undergoing a remodel when we first toured and they assured us the remodel would be done by the wedding and it was! The new style is so sleek, clean and modern. Many of our guests were coming in from out of town and out of state and all noted how easy it was to book with our block and how friendly the staff was. Our wedding coordinator, Tracey, was so attentive and friendly. Many people commented on how great the breakfast was, as complimentary breakfast was important to us to provide our guests as we knew they’d travel back home the morning after the wedding. Not only was breakfast great and full of atypical, awesome options like smoothies and fresh pressed juices, but the hotel provided my guests a private gathering room on the second floor for the night after the wedding and the morning after for breakfast. The amount of suites offered were great for our guests that were traveling with families and our honeymoon suite was great. It was huge and spacious, had a fireplace and ample kitchen space and make for getting ready with my bridal party so fun and a breeze. A cute final touch was the hotel provided champagne and chocolates at the end of the night. The hotel provided my guests with shuttles to and from the wedding, which was brilliant. It eliminated the possibility of my guests drinking and driving and the drivers were so pleasant and nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and so did our guests!

I traveled with my wife on a work trip which we extended to spend some time in Chicago. This hotel is where they put her up under her bosses name. Had it not been for that I would have left. We changed rooms twice after the first room. First night she gets ready for bed. Room was not great but passable. She climbs on the bed and from across the room I can see it wobbling terribly. She looks underneath and the plastic feet are loose/off the frame in addition to dusty filthy mess and debris. We are moved to room number 2 We get to room 2 expecting all to be well. There's a loose tile next to the tub but "I'm not buying it" so we let it go. Room is similar in condition to first room, passable but not stand out by any means. I am awakened at 3am by wife because of a noise she thinks is a fire alarm. It is actually the heater squeeling. The closet door was falling off the track and we found a waterbug in the closet. Welcome to room 3. Going into Room 3 we are not optimistic. We look over everything. Mostly looks ok I turn the heater on to be sure it is not making noise. After we think all is ok we move our things. After moving we sit and notice a large spot on the bed runner. Wife looks closer and finds droplet spots all over/around the runner, what appears to be some kind of bio waste. Wife says she is not moving again and calls and requests they replace the runner. We go out and upon return find the runner removed. It must have been the first time it had ever been taken off. Under the bed you could see debris and a film of dust that looked a 1/4 inch thick. We toughed out the remainder of the stay. Needless to say I'd never return nor would I recommend. We suggester to her boss they never use the place again and they agreed. The people at the desk were helpful when we presented our issues.

100% will be back. Came here for a one night staycation and I am so thrilled to have discovered this property only 45 minutes from me. I loved this place. -Check in was easy and friendly. -Free & easy parking. -Room was clean and felt modern/recently updated. I had a great view of the grounds, very pretty. -Comfortable bed, another review mentioned it felt like a marshmallow, which is perfect for me. -I never made it in the pool because I enjoyed laying out with the view so much. Both outdoor and indoor pools were available. -They’ve done a great job adapting to covid standards, no seating immediately surrounding the pool to avoid crowding, but then a few steps up take you to a lake view where there are loungers& dining tables/seating, it was so lovely. -Starbucks in the lobby which was such a convenience. -Large lobby with plenty of seating styles to choose from. -I didn’t get to venture out during my short stay but there are many parks nearby and I could easily see booking multiple nights despite living nearby. Excellent experience.

Booked a King suite for two nights with my fiance. I always use the digital check-in the day before to select the room ahead of time and it seemed to not be accurate because I checked what was available at 11 AM and there were about a dozen suites available on the third floor. I did not complete the check-in since I wanted to be sure that my fiance was going to be able to make it before I locked it in. I checked later at 4 PM and there was nothing available for the third floor, which seems strange because almost all hotels are barely 50% booked right now due to the pandemic. I chose one on the second floor and hoped that there would be nobody above us making noise, which is a common issue that we have had. We did not hear anything above us the entire stay, so that part worked out at least. However, the room I chose on the second floor ended up not being the one I got the digital key for and I was given a room closer to the middle of the hotel, but since it was quiet we did not mind. The suite did not have an armchair in the living room, although it was stated in the description that there would be and the picture of the living room also showed it. There was a coffeemaker as well as condiments for coffee, but there were NO coffee packets to be able to use the coffeemaker. Usually there are TWO bars of soap supplied (one for the shower, one for the sink), but there was only one. Usually there are 3-4 sets of bath linens supplied at places we stay (bath towel, wash cloth, hand towel), but there were only two, so I had to ask for more since I was informed that there would be no housekeeping service during my stay. The A/C was working very well when we arrived since it was set at 68 and it was 68 in the suite according to the thermostat, however it seemed to not be working the next day since it was set at 70 and it was 74 in the suite. It never got any colder than that for the rest of our stay and it was quite hot outside (almost 90). It was not unbearable, so we just dealt with it. There is a desk that could be used as a table to eat meals at, but there was only one chair. Would have been nice if there were two chairs like many other Homewood Suites locations have. Overall, this place is decent to stay at, but did not exceed anything basic. At least the rate we got was good, so we will probably stay here again.

It was a typical Courtyard. Everything worked. Nothing to write about for breakfast, probably because it was part of a big group so the breakfast was a set of pre-arranged dishes and they didn't taste fresh. They tasted like frozen things heated up. The regular breakfast may be different but I did not have the opportunity to try that. Except for a pancake house (that also has other dishes), there is nothing within walking distance.

We are currently staying here while I make this review. This is our 5th day here. We have 2 rooms. It’s clean and tidy, pool is not heated which is a bummer as kids love to swim but it’s snowing at this time even though it isn’t winter yet. Housekeeping is great, the ladies tried to speak english as I tried to speak Spanish. Breakfast was better than other hotels and the lady staff was very pleasant and attentive. The place is not in a busy area which we liked as my daughter’s daycare is just beside this hotel. The front desk person I spoke with though this afternoon needs training in customer service as his service was -meeeeeh. I asked him a question about looking at another room with connecting door, I got complete silence with him looking through printed papers... I waited in complete silence for him to acknowledge that he heard me but he just clicked on the keyboard making me guess if he heard me at all. I asked if he heard me and said,”yes, I’m checking the rooms.” It’s either he is really not a friendly and approachable person but he as a front liner should learn to have these customer service traits. I guess it’s not just me as my husband also noted it first day when he checked the rooms. We are moving to another hotel nearby anyway.
