This hotel is amazing! Must stay in this place when coming to bilbao! The location is super convenient, just across the road from the museum, the view is first class, the hotel is full of space, the service staff is super nice, the room is also very large, the bed is very comfortable, the breakfast is very rich but a bit expensive (compared with the Spanish price level, it takes 24 euros a person), drinking at night at rooftop is first class, The scenery is super beautiful, two minutes walk is the best Chinese food Grand Canal in bilbao, you can eat Chinese food balance if you are tired of Basque food. There is an airport bus across the road from the back door of the hotel. It is really good. The only problem is that it is a little distance from the shopping center and it takes about 15 minutes to walk.SOLD OUT

The location is very good, I feel that this is a veteran five-star hotel with a strong Basque style design. The suite I stayed in, the room was large, the view was good, and there was a garage in the ground. Maybe the room is not new enough, but it is well maintained. We stayed four nights in a NYX Suite in the middle of August. This hotel has an excellent location at the entrance to the old Town. The Renfe train station to Madrid and Barcelona is about 6 minutes walking across the bridge right in front of the hotel. This bridge also takes you to the major shopping street of Bilbao as well. The Guggenheim is a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the river and around the corner you'll find the Plaza Barria with some of the best pinxto bars in the Basque country. The metro station that will take you right to the intermodal bus station is a short 2 minute walk away. The suite was compact with only a double bed, but the bathroom was roomy and the shower easily fit two. Storage was minimal, but there was a safe, mini fridge, iron and ironing board. The coffee maker was an imitation Nespresso, but the pods were Lavazza. The balcony had a fantastic 270 degree view of the old Town and the newer city across the river. A negative note: Almost every evening we came home to discover a new invasion of ants crossing our room, slipping under the door and parading down the hall.From$130

We spent 4 nights here when exploring the Basque Country. It was the perfect location - close to the old town and the Guggenheim. We could walk to everywhere in the city, and the tram stopped just the other side of the bridge for if travelling further afield. There were handy shops and a bakery just around the corner and the kitchen was well equipped for preparing light meals - we ate breakfast here every day. The room was spacious, clean and warm, tastefully decorated in a neutral style. Polite and helpful staff. We would definitely stay again next time we visit Bilbao, and will try other hotels from this chain.From$163

We had a lovely 4 night stay at the at Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia - Great welcome, Our ‘Privilege’ Room on the 7th floor was lovely very spacious with a very comfortable King size bed, large closet with hanging and shelf space and a large safe. There was a minibar with complimentary water 2 still and 1 sparkling, 2 beers and 2 Coca Cola which was replenished every day. There is a coffee machine. Good controllable air conditioning. The Bathroom had a large walk-in shower. There is a nightclub nearby so there is some noise at night so if you are a light sleeper you should ask for a quiet room. Perfect location - The hotel is 15 min stroll to the Guggenheim museum and its about 10 minute walk from the centres of both the old and new towns, there is a Corte Ingles about 10 mins walk away on the main street and the hotel is just a couple of minutes from the river. The Lobby bar is great and the staff are pleasant and helpful and prices are very reasonable – it was lovely sitting outside having a glass of wine. It is very easy to get to from the airport A3247 bus stop, Journey from the airport is about 20 minutes. Great staff All the staff we met were helpful. Reception is on the 3rd Floor. Breakfast is on the 4th floor with good coffee machines and a great fresh orange juice machine. Thank you to all the restaurant and bar staff especially the manager and also Pedro. The housekeeping was efficient, and everything was spotless. There are so many amazing restaurants and bars in Bilbao serving great food – We were lucky enough to be in Bilbao for the start of the festival and we really enjoyed the amazing firework display on Saturday night. We are already looking forward to returning to Bilbao and the Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia.From$124

Good location, around a 10 min walk from the old town. Nice hotel, clean, modern. Had a family suite which was large. Staff were friendly. Small gym if you wanted a work out. Breakfast was good. Took the airport bus which was about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Ate at Hamburguerisa which was nice for a change - fancy burgers effectively, nice food even though the service was pretty awful. We arrived late at night at the hotel after a day's travel but the hotel staff greeted us warmly and were there to help us with our bags. The hotel is located opposite San Mamés Stadium towards the west end of the city centre, with handy tram stops nearby. However we walked while in the city, 5 minutes or so down to the river, 15 minutes to the Guggenheim and 20-25 minutes to the old town, a great location. The hotel is a modern build, bit of a 'block' but not without character. We had a good sized room, all the expected facilities, including tea and coffee making. The bed was comfortable and large! The toilet was not spacious but there was plenty room and all the facilities one would expect, a good shower and plenty of hot water. Unfortunately, we didn't have much of a view from our room, we looked out over a courtyard and the town at the back of the hotel with a tree partially obscuring the window. This wasn't a huge drawback for us, as we spent more time out than in however it might be a consideration. The other side of the hotel looks out on to the football stadium. There was no game on while we were there but I would imagine it would be busy and noisy during a match. The hotel has a terrace bar that overlooks the river but this was not open during our stay. We had booked rooms with breakfast and this is one of the highlights of this hotel. There is a great range of options, laid out buffet style. There are also cooked items available. The food covered local offerings, 'international' items and some temptations, ever had a glass of Cava or a 'Bloody Mary' for breakfast? I enjoyed the fruit, the pastries, smoked salmon, rolls and toasted bread, really appreciating so much variety and quality food. The coffee from a 'pod' machine was rich and tasty. Other hot drinks were available. A word too for the friendly waitress who ran the whole show with calm efficiency, she was always there to advise and help. Generally we ate in the town centre however one night we ate locally at a good pintxos bar, busy with a fine selection of food and rink, about ten minutes walk from the hotel. There seemed to be plenty other options close by that might be worth exploring. Check out was 12:00 which gave us time for a final walk before we left. The hotel provides a left luggage service which enabled us to leave our bags while we went to pick up our hire car. This was the first hotel on our holiday and from the initial warm welcome to the helpful services on departure we enjoyed our stay. Comfortable rooms, the great breakfast and helpful and friendly staff all came together to provide a very enjoyable experience.From$83

I used to go to Milan and live in this brand hotel, the service is good. It takes about a walk to the old town 15-20 minutes. It is very convenient to go to the city center by bus downstairs. About 2-3 Station distance, there are also food and small bars near the hotel.
🔔 Service: The front desk was very intimate and gave the baby a set of baby showers. The front desk also sent the baby a bear.
🧹 Health: The room is large and clean. Our room is more than 30 square meters.

It is a doorway with a many signs including one for Bilbao city rooms. The rooms are on floors 4 and 5 with Reception on the 4th. Check in was fast and simple with a warm welcome from the lady at reception. The whole two floors have well lit clean corridors and the lift is great. The room was a very clean well presented modern double with a large shower room and plenty of storage. The window s can be opened and I like other reviews mentioning the heat and the ceiling fan... we can say it’s chilly at night but the heating does come on at ten! The location of these room is very central and excellent l. Great transport links if needed but we walked all around the old and new parts of the city with the Guggenheim, bars and restaurants all on our doorstep. Shopping in Bilbao is fantastic and dint be afraid to visit the 2nd hand stores .. some amazing finds!!!

This isn't a 5-star hotel, but it did the trick and we were very comfortable - here is why. PROS - Coming from Bilbao Airplane or taking Bus?...: It is close to 2 blocks from Bilbao Intermodal and if you are coming from the airport, this hotel is an easy walk from where the bus drops you off in San Mamés. The location is also SUPER safe. - Transportation: If you look down the street and cross it, you will also see the tram station along with the metro station. - Food?: There is food everywhere. This is Bilbao. Spend 2 euros (or really please buy a Barik card) and go into the city, you won't be disappointed. The best part about the tram is that it goes theoretically left or right. I live close to NYC so I understand it can be complicated, but the system in Bilbao, chef's kiss. - Bed/Room: Pro? The bed/room you get in sleek, modern, and for a REALLY CHEAP PRICE! Please don't hassle your way into spending a lot of money on a hotel in Spain. It is not truly worth it. Just get this place, feel comfortable, and safe. - Staff? There are not many, but the ones that are there will help and accommodate you. You just need to be nice. I say this because I went in to check in and someone was being helped. They weren't that nice to staff, so please remember, we are all human. CONS - Cleaning: I will say, the bathrooms were clean, but the headboard for me was dusty. It might have been that the room wasn't used a lot. But please don't worry, it did not effect my stay considering the price was reasonably cheap. - THE ENTRANCE!: You need to understand, their rating is a 2/5 stars but it is NOT because they are bad, in Spain it is based on what the hotel/hostels have and DON'T have. So what they don't have is a front reception. Listen closely if you are going to go here. Once you get on the street, you will need to buzz into the door as if you are requesting to go to someone's apartment. OR they will give you a code before hand. There was nothing to make at the cleanness of the sanitation facilities. The community bathroom and shower were very clean. The breakfast was very simple but feeling sufficient. Very clean breakfast room and also very clean living room with large flat-screen TV. The staff was very nice and friendly and helpful. The staff also speaks English. Credit card payment is also possible. Two chairs are also available. Completely disabled-fitted. Super. There are sufficient parking facilities on the ground floor of the youth hostel. Different drinking and sucking machines were also available. 24Stunden Reception. The views, restaurants, city centre, churches and museums cannot be reached on foot. Bus No. 28 is just in front of the house and is going to the city centre. I had my room on the 7th floor. From there you had (just in the night) a spectacular view of the city. It simply radiated everything. Very wonderful. Want to stay there again in any case, provided I am in Bilbao. Good and cheap. But a super youth hostel.

Lots of places to eat nearby. And we didn’t choose the breakfast inclusive option because we didn’t need a big breakfast. 2 minutes’ walk and you’ll find a place for coffee and a good croissant. Our room was quiet; didn’t hear any noise. Our room had a view of the museum; I assumed it’s an upgrade. Staff were very friendly and helpful. For tourists who want to see Guggenheim day and night, this is it!

|1.2km from city centerUn hostel muy comódo con un buen ambiente. La ubicación es ideal si quieres pasar tu tiempo en el Casco Viejo, y está al lado del río y las calles principales del Casco Viejo. Las camas y salas son comódas y los lockers y aseos funcionan bien. El ambiente en la área común es muy acogedora y el equipo nos ayudó con cualquier duda. La terraza en la quinta planta es muy bonita. Hay ruido por las calles y los pasillos por la noche así que vale la pena traer un tapón para los oídos. Hay que pedir para que te den el mando para el aire acondicionado, pero funciona bien. Y recordar que hay que sacar las sábanas de cama y ponerlas en las cajas que hay por las escaleras - que no es un hotel!

|0.81km from city centerI used to go to Milan and live in this brand hotel, the service is good. It takes about a walk to the old town 15-20 minutes. It is very convenient to go to the city center by bus downstairs. About 2-3 Station distance, there are also food and small bars near the hotel.
🔔 Service: The front desk was very intimate and gave the baby a set of baby showers. The front desk also sent the baby a bear.
🧹 Health: The room is large and clean. Our room is more than 30 square meters.
🚗 Traffic: Downstairs bus hotel on the main road of bilbao because the city is not big. A few steps forward and there is a subway.

|0.46km from city centerGood location, around a 10 min walk from the old town. Nice hotel, clean, modern. Had a family suite which was large. Staff were friendly. Small gym if you wanted a work out. Breakfast was good. Took the airport bus which was about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Ate at Hamburguerisa which was nice for a change - fancy burgers effectively, nice food even though the service was pretty awful. Also had some snacks at Las Muns which were tasty and ice cream at Nossi-Be which was on the way to old town.

The breakfast is complete with good fresh products: fruit juice, fruit salad ... The location is ideal. We could visit everything by foot. The garage is spacious. We walked everywhere in Bilbao. On a pedestrian street a few metres from a taxi rank and the river. Taxi to airport is around 26 euros. We had an interior premium room and found it to be very quiet. The adjoining bar-restaurant is handy for meeting up. There is a residents lounge with a couple of sofas and lots of tables on first floor. Hotel front door is locked and opened by room key card. Staff were friendly. Would definitely return.

What you'll get is a clean, compact and functional room, excellent breakfasts, and reception staff that are exceptionally efficient, friendly and helpful, and all speak English to a high standard. Located next to the bullring, it's a short walk to all the major sights that the beautiful city of mk Bilbao has to offer. I will definitely be returning to Bilbao, and this gem of a hotel.
