Two stars because it is a nice hotel with comfortable beds. Thats about it. It is certainly not a five star hotel, which it purports to be. We arrived around 8pm and advised reception that we needed to leave for the airport at five am. At some point reception advises that the booking was for one person and they had to charge us for the second. I have never heard of this! So for the extra person for our 8 hour stay, they wanted €100! What the hell for? I looked on a booking sight and showed the receptionist that I could still book a room (which would come with a free bottle of wine) for two people for exactly what I paid. Receptionist kept saying that it would be more if i booked through the hotel. Lets follow the logic here. Why would i book directly through the hotel if the same room is less on a booking sight? The most irritating part is that she kept laughing inappropriately for some unknown reason. The male receptionist kept insisting that the € 100 was for the ”free” hot breakfast. We reminded him that we had to leave before breakfast was served. He assured us that there would be a cart full of food in the morning before we left. Long story short, that did not happen. There was a cart with coffee and a few pastries. But wait, there's more! The man at the reception in the morning told us that if we had asked, they would have made us breakfast. That would have been nice if it was ever suggested by reception at check in! A real five star hotel would have just taken the initiative to prepare the bagged breakfast for us given the conversation had the night before. I also enjoyed how the staff talked down to us insisting that a €100 per person euro fee is totally normal. Because I've never stayed in a hotel before! Thats sarcasm btw. Again, this certainly was not a five star experience. And just to compare apples to apples, we stayed at a four star hotel when we arrived in bologna 10 days earlier. It was 1/5 the cost, the staff much more accommodating and was just as comfortable and nice. So do yourself a favor and ignore the alleged five star rating and save your money and nerves by staying anywhere else.From$376

But there is no iron in the room
I went to eat at breakfast time, and the room was cleaned even though Do Not Disturb was turned on. When I came back from breakfast, I was dumbfounded. Of course, I don’t have any valuables, but I don’t think it’s enough to respect the wishes of customers
Check out on the last day, close to 12 o'clock, the cleaning staff can't wait to clean, I was still replying to the email, and the door was broken into, and then I left in a hurryFrom$83

The location although 7 km from the city center that seems near it is not! You have to walk 15-20 min to the nearest bus station and then there are only 2 buses running every hour to reach city center. If you miss the first one then you have to wait another 25 minutes for the second one!
If you are planning your trip on foot avoid this one. If you rent a car there is a parking lot outside in the courtyard of the hotel and several more just outside the hotel on the street. Both parking spots are in the open. Hotel offers a closed parking spot in its basement but on pay.
We had to change room the next day of our arrival as there was a noise coming out of the ventilation system. A supervisor came to inspect the room and after verifying our sayings offered us a room 2 floor down.
During our stay one of the three lift was out of order and it was a nightmare to come down in the morning during peak hours. All three days we were getting to lobby by stairs. From$58

I have stayed in this hotel before, so I booked it again this time, but the experience was not as good as the last time!
The room was small and a bit crowded.
I stayed for two nights and when it was cleaned the next day, tea bags and toiletry bags were not added. Not friendly enough.
The location of the hotel is very good, just a few minutes' walk from the train station and within walking distance to the city center square. The people on the hotel are very friendly! However, the price of the hotel is not cheap, especially on weekends.From$86

Location of the hotel was the highlight, it was literally opposite the train station. There were shops and supermart nearby the hotel as well so it was convinient. The room was good and clean, with the view facing the courtyard. Breakfast was good too with a nice selection of food and drinks. Only downside is that it was a 15-20 mins walk from the city center but we enjoyed the walk from the hotel to there. Overall a very nice stay and place in Bologna!From$106

The room facilities were quite dated. The toilet flush malfunctioned several times; maintenance was called the first time, and they also replaced a faulty light bulb while fixing it. The hot water pressure from the faucet was extremely low and couldn't be adjusted. The air conditioning consistently failed to work properly. After contacting the front desk, I was informed that it was a 'smart' system linked to the windows, meaning the AC wouldn't operate if any window was open. The front desk eventually had to override this setting in their system. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay due to the outdated facilities and recurring issues.From$99

Great location with great staff. The bell tolls every so often, but it is no bother. Shower is a tad bit tiny but bathroom is big. Lift is available but some rooms on level 2 has a few steps to conquer - do request a room that does not tackle this if you cannot lift your luggage for these few steps. One key per room, but key can be left at reception. We had 4 rooms all up and they mananged to get us all on same floor & close by, as per our request. Again, all the staff are great. Check-in is 3pm, check-out is 11am.From$89

Location is very near to the bologna centrale station ~ 5 mins away. Good especially if you’re lugging a lot of luggages but quite a walk away from the main piazza shopping area ~ took us around 15-20 mins.
Room provides 3in1 cappucino and milk creamer! Not all hotels provide these. There are English Tv channels. There is pillow menu even! Room is clean, kettle is cleaned sparkly too.
Toilet light went faulty during our stay; flickering. We called reception to inform and she was supposed to call us back to let us know if their technician was still around at work to come and fix it or not but she may have forgotten to return us back the call. Checking out the next day so we didn’t bother but for guests staying longer you may have to call back reception to check…. From$121

We have only stayed one night and did not look out for all the facilities in the hotel. The room and bathroom was good and all that we needed was there. The pillows were a little too hard. Beds were good. Nice breakfast with a lot of veriety. Service was nice and professional.

The staff were fluent in English and were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was buffet style and was very delicious, with prosciutto, cheese, bread, juice, etc. I'm usually too sleepy in the morning to eat much even if I pay for breakfast, but this time I ate until I was full lol. Also, it may have been a coincidence, but there was a bathtub in the room, so I was very happy to be able to take a bath for the first time in a while! It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the city center or 20 minutes by bus, but I still recommend it!From$72

The receptionists and the cafe were very friendly, the bed was comfortable for me, the linen was clean and pleasant, and it was warm enough in the room. Breakfasts are paid, 8€, buffet, there is plenty to choose from, there is always fruit, pastries, and the coffee is wonderful. The hotel is really a bit tired, the door to the toilet in my room didn't close (it wasn't critical for me), the TV didn't work (there was no particular need for it), and the shower curtain was a bit moldy. Since I only slept in the room, I tried not to pay much attention to it.

|1.6km from city centerThis place is absolutely excellent. It caters for all ages and I will certainly consider using again as a workspace also. The Social Hub is a great concept that will mostly appeal to a younger crowd although all are most definitely welcome.
The rooms are excellent, thoughtful and have everything you need. The staff are all excellent. Location wise this is perfect for access to Bologna Centrale Station. As many travellers will know Railway Stations anywhere in the world are not always located in the safest parts of a city. Although nothing happened and I did not necessarily feel threatened I was very cautious as I was travelling alone with my teenage daughter so also need to consider her safety.
