Great hotel close to the airport in Dumaguete. Simple rooms but had plenty of amenities available including room service. The pool was the perfect addition to get a little swim in before our flight the next morning. Staff was great and facilities were clean!

Owner so friendly and giving us a warm welcome. You feel like at home 😊 very clean and it’s affordable. Location it’s not great but soon you’ll get used to it. Very secure you don’t feel you have to worry for anything. I’ll definitely recommend it and I will definitely will stay here again in my next visit here in Dumaguete 👍🤞😊

What a find! Location: a 1-min walk to the Boulevard, street has good food choices (Pyesta was lovely). Property: 4 rooms, more than perfect for 6 adults in our family, with firm premium beds. 2.5 T&B, full kitchen. Surprise: there’s even a pool at the back! I loved our stay talaga. Even the receptionist at the main hotel, Shelton, was super responsive and warm.

I would not recommend staying here as it is simply not worth the money. We found the management to be incredibly rigid, especially regarding check-in times, which made for an unwelcoming start to the trip. For the price point, the room amenities are underwhelming—the toiletries are very basic, the toilet paper is paper-thin, and the hairdryer was weak and barely worked. Overall, the experience felt budget despite the high cost. There are much better, more hospitable options in Dumaguete.

Perfect base for exploring Dumaguete! Hotel Essencia exceeded expectations. Rooms were spotless and modern, beds were comfy, and AC was ice cold — huge plus in this heat. Staff were genuinely warm and helpful with tour and food recos. Location is quiet yet walking distance to restaurants and just a quick trike to the boulevard. Breakfast was simple but tasty. For the price, this is easily one of the best stays in the city. Thank you, Essencia team especially their OJT’s Very accommodating.

This was booked for a family of three friends, and the response was good. Clean and hygienic, comfortable living. The location is also very good and the price is reasonable. Consider this one when the epidemic ends and you go to the Philippines.

Location: 5- minute walk to the cathedral and town plaza There are restaurants, banks, and shops nearby. Easy to flag down public transport. Amenities: The elevator made it easier for seniors to go up and down. Spacious family room and spacious toilet and bath. Hot water was working. The water flow was steady and stable. Hot and cold water dispensers on every floor. Restaurant on the first floor. However, we were not able to avail our complimentary breakfast because we had to leave at 6 am to catch an early ferry to Siquijor. Breakfast is served at 7am. I wish they could make it earlier and they could serve take-aways or packed breakfast. Service: Friendly and helpful staff. They helped us flag down a tricycle to the seaport. I left my ID at the reception in haste as I checked out to catch the early ferry to Siquijor. The staff called to inform me of my ID card. I picked it up per instruction without any hassle. The receptionist and the security guard helped me open a medical syrup using a kitchen knife. Fast check-in and check-out. Cleanliness: Our room, toilet and bath were clean and so were the common spaces. But I was disgusted to see a roach inside the thermos.

I only stayed here one night flying in late and catching a ferry the next morning. The hotel is in a great spot to take a walk along the water that night, and then super easy to walk to the ferry terminal the next morning. Very nice hotel and a huge room. Staff was awesome, too. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dumaguete.

The actual room felt older than the photos shown on the booking site. That was a bit of a shock at first, but overall, it was well maintained and more comfortable than other nearby hotels. The Italian restaurant on the ground floor was excellent!

The dumaguete is relatively poor, so the facilities are not very good. Compared with several hotels, this one is actually average, but the industrial style makes people feel good, and it is a celebrity, and there are still people taking photos The basics are all, the disadvantage is that the water is small, barely washed, the air conditioning is noisy, and it is noisy and sings at night The advantage is that the environment is good, the location is good, there is a night market across the night, there are many restaurants around, and the Internet speed is OK It does n’t take tutu within 15min to walk to the pier, it ’s about 20min to tutu to the airport

A nice large unit with kitchen. Pool and nice location easy to catch a tryk for a couple USD to nearly anywhere. No elevator is tough if your second or third floor but still a good valie for the money. It's not 4 or 5 star due to the age and conditions but it's very doable. BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE, WATER WAS WARM+++ I would definitely stay there again!

The hotel offers free airport shuttle service and is a 5-10 minute drive from the airport. The rooms are nice, and they provided a welcome snack and a goodnight dessert. Children over the age limit require an additional 1200 pesos, but they will receive an extra bed and breakfast. The hotel has many art pieces, and the little house in the garden is adorable; I might try staying there next time.

Good hotel that is convenient and good value. Breakfast is on demand rather than buffet but tasty and a good size. Friendly staff. Only improvement would be to give more than 1 roll of toilet paper per day for a family of four. Shower could also do with a good scrub or renovation but also fair for the price
