There are many restaurants around the hotel, including Chinese food, Japanese food, McDonald's and Starbucks, but it is a bit noisy at night, and the sound of carts is a bit loud in the middle of the night. In addition, after staying for 3 days, no one came to clean the room for the first two days. On the last day, we had to walk to the front door Cleaned up, kind of funny. There are plates and water glasses in the room, which are quite convenient. Overall, it's okay, and I will stay here again if I have a chance.From$119

The staff was super friendly and inviting at all times. Bar drinks were pretty high priced, and only one bartender for a whole fanily reunion of people, but she still kicked ass. Enjoy the lake life with a beautiful view in our fully renovated lake front cottage. This beautiful cottage is a one of a kind home nestled on a quiet cove on the north side of Lake Norman. Although you feel tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac, you're just minutes from shopping, dining, lake attractions and I-77The space--This fully renovated cottage features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The primary bedroom and on-suite overlook the large back deck with a spectacular view of Lake Norman right from the king sized bed. The kitchen is fully stocked with new KitchenAid appliances, pots and pans, toaster, blender, Keurig and ample plates and dishes for serving the family. There is also a propane grill on the back deck off the kitchen, for all your cookout needs. The living room features hardwood floors with massive wood ceiling beams and a beautiful gas log fireplace underneath the large 70" TV. One of the sofas in the living room is a sleeper sofa with plenty of room for extra guests. There is even a cozy dog cubby underneath the stairs leading up to the primary bedroom to allow for pets to have their own cozy space as well. The second bedroom is a spacious bedroom featuring a king size bed and two spacious closets. The third bedroom is the bunk room with a twin over twin bunk with a pullout trundle underneath. The second bathroom is conveniently located in the hallway between the bunk room and second bedroom. This bathroom is newly updated with beautiful white subway tile adorning the walls of the shower/tub combo, a dual sink vanity and large linen closet. The laundry room is equipped with a washer and dryer as well as a folding table and hanging rack with tons of storage. Lastly the huge back deck can be accessed from the kitchen, primary bedroom or from the sliding door off of the living room. There is an outdoor table and chairs for dining and cookouts as well as rockers, a sofa and chairs for outdoor gatherings with a beautiful view from every inch of the deck. We came for a funeral we were under a lot of stress. The staff was wonderful helpful and accommodating! I have to say with the exception of the lady that checked me out. She was short and I felt as though I was bothering her. She will not cloud my opinion of this fine inn!! I will stay again when I visit the family in North Carolina.

Nice hotel. Clean and quiet. About 20 minutes drive from the airport. About 10 minutes to the client. Breakfast is available with basic variety. There are some restaurants nearby. There is a gas station next to the hotel.

I drove over 400 miles on I-81 and was completely exhausted, so I decided to stop near Charlotte. The name of the hotel sounded nice — I thought “Norman Lake” might be a fancy resort.
Crossing from Virginia into North Carolina, the drive was beautiful. The road wound through the mountains with lakes popping up here and there — such a big change from the flat East Coast.
The hotel itself was just okay. The facilities were average, the AC was pretty noisy, and the mattress was way too soft for me. Breakfast didn’t leave much of an impression, except for the endless coffee.
Overall, it was a decent place for a quick stay.

My Mother’s Day getaway was not so refreshing. There was hair in the shower before I even took my shower. Side note: it wasn’t mine. I found the front desk phone in my room. The deposit that was supposed to have been returned on checkout day, still hasn’t returned to my account 3 days later. I have tried to call to talk to them about this and nobody answers, nor am I able to leave a voicemail. Please check your rooms for the phone so we can get this straightened out.
