I used it on a solo trip. Basically, there is no reception, so you will check in at the opportunity immediately after entering. I made a reservation on the day, so I was in trouble because I couldn't check in because the reservation was not reflected. I had two phone numbers when I was in trouble, one didn't come out, the other came out, but I was angry to call the other. If I couldn't check in, I couldn't enter the room, so I waited for two hours crying for someone to come. I couldn't do anything alone, so I asked the bar in front of the hotel to call me and managed to check in. (The three men at the bar in front of the hotel were really kind.) I think you can check in normally, but it's not good to respond when you're in trouble. The room was very clean, not to mention, with hair and body amenities, coffee machines, tea, etc. I can see laundry in the basement, but the guests can't use it. Breakfast was very satisfying. Ham, cheese, bread, yogurt, granola and drinks are substantial. It was delicious. It took less than an hour to get to Zermatt and it was just a short walk from the nearest station. However, it may be difficult to carry luggage because it is a fairly slope. It was a quiet and very good place.
