Stayed 5 days. The hotel is above the metro station so it's very easy to reach any part of Singapore, including the airport. Also, there are a lot of cheap and good options by the metro station + a few shopping areas where you can buy extra snacks or drinks. The room is small but it has anything you might need. I checked out the pool on the 4th floor. Seemed good. You can bring a drink and just enjoy it by the pool. All in all, I am happy with the hotel choice, and would stay there again. From$ 116

When i went to the hotel n show them my email, the reception ask for my passport. Unfortunately my passport name dosen't match with my 'Trip.com' name that appear in the apps. He said that the hotel can refuse me frm entering the hotel room that i booked n paid! It is very disgusting since we are excited in spending our holiday here instead this happened. Since when they need our passport name and booking name match? I have my booking number stated in the email, to prove that i am the one that paid. Then the guy said that i have to pay a fee of SGD75 for them to amend my name in the booking app to let me in. I have no choice since i have already paid for the hotel before i reach Spore. So $75 times 3 room is $225. I think this is the way they make money. They make me sign a paper to avoid me claim anything in the future. Well, i really regret in chosing this hotel in Spore. |7.35km from city centerStayed at the end of Nov/early Dec 2022 for 6 nights Pros: -building is very instagrammable, they even have photo icons on the ground to guide you where to stand to take photos. -check in process was easy and smooth -they have coffee machine at lobby area and lots of places to sit and lounge -swimming pool on lvl 2 with towels you can grab yourself there. -there is a shared communal kitchen with microwave/dishwasher and fridge but you have to label the products you buy yourself or else if the product is expired or doesn't have a label they chuck it away. -rooftop area on lvl 8 where you can get a view of the surrounding areas. -overall lots of outdoor spaces to sit. -there are areas to bbq if you want but you need to hire it like those portable bbqs -on lvl 1 in a different building but connected there is laundry that costs $6 for 15kg wash that cycles for 30 minutes and the dryer cost $6 as well for 1 hour dry cycle. -room itself is 13sqm but it doesn't feel that small as it looks on paper i think in part due to the very high ceilings above the bed so you don't feel so cramped and gives that sense of space. pretty clever designed room. -room feels new, i mean it did only open in April 2022. -bed and pillow are fairly comfortable not too bad. Initially it feels comfortable but over the days it was okay only and the bed was ok kind of like stiff foam that has some give but a little firm. There is space underneath the bed to store luggage. -plugs on either side of bed as well as usb slots. -water kettle is provided in the room as well as cutlery in the room. -fridge is shared and located outside in each corridor. -there is a desk with plug and ethernet port. -there is also a tv with only local channels. -sink is outside the bathroom area on the wall but it does have liquid hand soap and a big round mirror with good lighting. -jug is provided and you can refill it yourself outside your corridor. each level has a water dispenser refill station which provides clean filtered distilled water in both hot and cold temperatures. There is also a shared microwave and paper towels in each level of the building. -lots of nooks and crannies in the room for example next to the door you can put things on a small recessed wall shelf and there is another cupboard you can put shoes or sandals etc. -hairdryer is provided. -toilet and shower are glass separated -they provide 2 toilet papers and 2 hand towels and 2 body towels. -shower is amazing, rain and hand held shower head with plenty of strong hot water pressure and hot water that lasts. -collapsable laundry basket is provided in the room. -electronic curtain shade on the windows and the windows are big round ship-like glass. -hanger coats that you can hang your clothes and towels are provided in the room. -there is also a reading lamp and racks above the desk to put stuff which was nice. -tissue box is provided. -mrt entrance is directly across the road from the hotel. -wifi spee

|0.79km from city centerI stayed here in early December 2022 for a few nights. In general, this hostel is very conveniently located. It is only 4-minute walk from the Downtown Line MRT station. It is the same station that has the closest ATMs. The hostel requires you to pay your balance using cash. If you want to pay by card, there is an additional 3% charge and you'd have to walk to their sister hostel to use their card machine. The sister site is on another street but they claim it's just a 5-minute walk. Also, if you want to print anything or use a microwave, you'd have to walk across the street to the Chic Hostel to do so since this one doesn't have it. There is a fridge but no microwave. The good thing is that they do your laundry, within the same day if you tell them to, for $12. The dorms on the 4th floor did not have a lock on the door so it didn't feel secure from anyone else who may decide to wonder up there. They did have a key card for the individual lockers though. There's only one outlet by your bed so I'd recommend getting an adapter with multiple USB ports or something. The 4th and 3rd floors share a 2-stall shower and toilet combo which was a tight squeeze and a bit moldy, which probably cannot be helped with such humid climates. Only bodywash was available in the showers. Each toilet come with its own handheld bidet. I just wished that the restrooms had paper towels to dry your hands. I did like that each bed had its own TV with Netflix and headphones (even though I never used it). The A/C runs all night which is great. I also liked that eac bed has their owne privacy curtains as well as their own drying rack and clothes hangers.

Two restaurants right at the ground floor of the premises and a very famous Indian restaurant (A2B) within 3 minutes walk away, good food is very close by. Mustafa centra is a 5-minute walk. A no-frills, impeccably clean hotel in a great location - excellent value for money. We stayed there for 9 nights and every morning the cleaning team was prompt to leave our room blushing clean. My request for extra towels were immediately taken care of and seen through all 9 days. 24-hour hot water and air-conditioning were top-notch. Special shout-out to Ms Pam and Richard at the front desk who gave us wonderful tips about their country and made us feel right at home. The room cleaning persons (sorry, I missed taking their names) did a fabulous job every single day! I was travelling with 2 young kids and had requested a room on a higher floor with a double bed. They were able to accommodate me on their 7th floor (not noisy at night) but could provide me with only twin beds. This was a minor blip in the otherwise exceptional service provided my the hotel. Rooms near the lift tend to be a bit noisy throughout the day. Room # 710 was great - 7th floor and far from the lift. I'd recommend this place again to anyone looking for a no-frills budget hotel in a great location.

|4.92km from city centerYa that is true according to my wording if you dont have any other option then you can stay here othere please avoid. i stayed here for 1 night, but almost not comfertable, before i checked in a room when i layed down on my bed, it is keep on moving i asked to change my room and they did it but the room is not same like before but bed still moving some time. the cleanness of also not up to the mark. and they charged for wifi to heard, i was socked and the funny things is that you can use only one device with one password so you you would like to use aother device you have to buy another password. thats all ok but still after paying the wifi is not woking good. staff also lalking bit rude. At last for me sorry to say but not value for money. will never back with this property.

Room is spacious , bed is comfy . View was alright too , though the location maybe abit off but there is shuttle bus . There are also shops downstairs so it’s fine .
Smart tv only provide screen mirror for android , hope to have chromecast in the future . The sink & shower needs an upgrade .. the phone doesn’t work too when I needed to request something from the recep 🤦🏻♀️
breakfast spread is there but lack of quality & standard 😡😡 it was fine until my soup noodles have an insect in it !! I seriously hope is not a baby cockroach because after I ate few mouths it then I saw it in my bowl 🤢 was pretty pleased w Novotel until my breakfast . It was 5 stars to me but it became 2 .. food hygiene is important I believe for an international branded hotel

A taxi from the airport costs $33 (including late night charges). The late-night reception was unmanned, but the self-check-in system worked well, and although it was a small space that looked like a closet, the women's 6-person room was so quiet that I thought no one was there, and the mattress and sheets were surprisingly good. It's high and I had a good night's sleep (although in the morning some people started unpacking their suitcases and there was nowhere to step) Showers and toilets are clean, but be aware that the floors can get wet. Also, perhaps because of the corona crisis, there is no breakfast service as mentioned in previous reviews.

On day of check in, I've once again informed them on my extended night but on the next day, at ard 1pm their staff came knocking on my door asking what time I'm checking out (not the friendliest tone), I told him tomorrow then he realised sth might be wrong and quickly said he will inform the colleague. Besides this, nth much to complain on. They managed to get me a room while i arrived earlier than their check in hour. Said to be a room with bathtub but the room i had doesnt have, prolly due to the early checkin? Location wise is near goodwoodpark hotel, not the nearest but walking distance.

I also liked they offered the cool ice lemon water near the lobby for the refreshments and it is very close to MRT station.

The front desk lady charged or room deposit instead of merely taking a credit card number to charge later in case of damages (this was against policy I discovered later). We stayed in a room with a queen bed and two bunk beds, ensuite bathroom, plus a small balcony. The room was clean and comfortable - all features functioned properly. The location is far from the main areas of the city and on the other side of singapore from the airport. A subway station is about 10-15 minutes walk away. A bus stop is directly in front of the guesthouse. It's a solid 30 minute trip away from little india or little china. Being a hostel we had concerns about noise at night but were not bothered by any. We did not utilize the breakfast option but did eat at the restaurant across the street and found it acceptable. On checkout I found that they could not refund the deposit. After working with the manager over the next several days she refunded the deposit to me via paypal instead of a credit to my original card. That was not desirable at all, but was the best she said she could do. On the whole this was a nice stay, I only advise you to be cautious about your room deposit.

Rooms are much larger than average for the price and relatively well equipped including a fridge and wifi that works pretty well. Rooms are nothing fancy. They never are at this price, but they are quiet and comfortable. Last time there, I arrived at the hotel at 9am from an overnight flight. I really didn't expect to be able to check in at that time, but I was - unlike another hotel along Dunlop Street, who were not at all helpful on my arrival later than that. If anyone can do better in Singapore for the price, please say so. I can't. Strongly recommended.

The biggest highlight is to combine yourself with nature, because the bathroom is completely open, but there are huge potted plants and strip-shaped hollow partitions outside to make it look indoor and outdoor, because there are many tall trees outside, It feels like taking a shower in the woods. The bed is tatami, which is my favorite design. I originally wanted to go downstairs to take a Vlog by the swimming pool, but unfortunately it was raining that day, and it seemed that there were leaves all over the place, which was very desolate, so I canceled the idea of shooting a video.
I feel pretty good overall. Worth a stay!
