My wife and I love afternoon tea . We have been to many of the best, highest rated places for afternoon tea in the world. We rate this as being up there with the best. The grounds are stunning, and the view of the Victoria fall bridge is to die for. The tableS overlook the immaculate gardens. The cakes were not just good, they were superb. The local Zimbabwean tea was very good. The scones were freshly baked and well above my expectations. All this for $15 each (and they refilled the tea) Not to be missed if you visit Victoria falls The don’t advertise, so you have to book yourself or get just your reception to book it if you are not staying a the Victoria Falls hotel.

The resort is a little piece of heaven on earth . Beautifully set along the river. You will often see warthogs grazing on the grounds , and if you're lucky enough you might get to see Sebastian, the resident hippopotamus and his family wondering around. The staff are friendly and always eager to help in any way possible. They are professional and take great pride in providing superior customer service. The rooms themselves are smaller than what some would expect , but they are clean and comfortable and also have balconies where you can enjoy the view. It's a great option if you don't plan to stay in your room all day , and who would want to with all that the resort and Victoria Falls has to offer. The resort has a dedicated desk that assists with guided tours ,activities etc, so you can do all your planning right there and also add afew things to your itinerary. The resort also provides a free shuttle service to and from places like the town and Victoria Fall Rainforest. The location is great, as it is just afew minutes from most activities and attractions . The resort has an outdoor dinning setting . Food at the restaurant was delicious , fresh and well prepared . On certain evenings there was live local entertainment , creating a lively environment which was most welcomed . This resort is something special, especially if you appreciate nature and tranquility. I would highly recommend A'Zambezi and I would definitely stay here again .

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of September. The staff was wonderful, always friendly and ready to help. The room was comfortable (and the A/C worked great, thank goodness!). We enjoyed the food at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner on both days. Great location near the national park, easy access to everything. We would definitely recommend Ilala to anyone visiting VF!

Lokuthula Lodges are amazing!! We stayed for four nights as part of our trip to Zimbabwe and had the most fabulous time. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it was wonderful to see the wildlife so close to the lodges. The beds were very comfy, we had the best sleep and it was lovely wakening up to the sound of the animals. The Lodges are an easy walk to the main Vic Falls Safari lodge where we had the most delicious breakfast with an amazing view, and a stay at Lokuthula wouldn't be complete without visiting the Boma Dinner and Drum Show with its delicious food, and fun and lively entertainment. Lokuthula Lodges exceeded our expectations and we only wish that we could have had more time there. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who were so friendly and helpful, they helped to make our stay at Lokuthula a most memorable one.

We stayed here at the end of our tour with Nomad Africa Adventure Tours and were really impressed by how modern and beautiful this place is. The rooms aren’t particularly big, with just enough space for two single beds, two nightstands and very little closet space, but they are very clean and neat. The bathroom is more spacious with a great shower. The grounds are very nice indeed with a big open dining deck overlooking the swimming pool (and duck/fishing pond) and large bar with lots of comfortable seating (and a TV behind the bar showing lots of sports channels). All the staff are incredibly pleasant, polite and very helpful. If there is any downside at all, it’s that in order to walk anywhere (and the bridge, the falls, the banks and shops are all well within walking distance) you have to run the gamut of passing locals selling their craft wares, jewelry etc. We fully appreciate that it’s been a really tough few years for the tourism industry on which these folks rely, but it gets very wearing hearing the same spiel every few yards and having them pester you until you reach the next one. I think I’ll be repeating their names and shop numbers in my sleep.

We booked Shoestring on the back of a number of recommendations and had been told that the night we were arriving was 'big party night' in Shoestring. We arrived and were at first very excited as the place gave off a very cool vibe. We settled in to have lunch but as we were waiting for food we were approached by a group of local men who had been clearly drinking all day. After expressing disinterest in engaging with them they proceed to approach us a number of times more. We left the hostel to explore and arrived back in the evening to a quiet atmosphere with the same group of men approaching us and other travels. This caused us to spend the rest of the night in our dorm (at 6pm). The dorm was fine and spacious, mattress was not the most comfortable. The toilets could do with some attention but the showers were lovely. The breakfast & lunch food offerings here were delicious. Not sure if we were particularly unlucky with the group who were there when we were staying but I wouldn't be rushing back. Also the resident goat, Chicken, took a disliking to me continued to ram me while I was trying to phone home. Staff passed by and just told me to push the goat away but did not help in deterring. Otherwise, the staff were lovely and welcoming.
