Getting here requires an off-road vehicle to navigate the gravel and dirt track beyond the village of Shetpe. And yes, you won’t be alone; this unique spot is attracting more and more tourists. Unfortunately, some drivers mistake the fragile chalky terrain for an off-road playground. Recently, visitors filmed SUVs driving right over the surface layer, destroying formations that took millions of years to create. The offenders were identified and fined, and authorities are already preparing new measures: plans are underway to place the area under state protection, restrict vehicle access, and set up checkpoints. Yet, therein lies the magic. In spring, when the red clay is veiled in a haze of green, wild tulips and poppies bloom, and steppe eagles soar overhead, you understand what makes it all worthwhile. It is a place where reality is complex and fragile, demanding that we treat it with care. That is precisely why people love it. It also has a super cute nickname here because of the red and white Cretaceous formations that look like layered tiramisu cake from a distance. Compared to the usual popular big cities, you will feel the shock of pristine nature and geological wonders when you come to Cape Murray. What’s fun at Mount Murray Tiramisu? Attraction inventory recommendation Kyzylkup Tract: Known as the “Tiramisu Mountain” of Kazakhstan, the biggest feature here is the layering of colors, which is very shocking and extremely terrestrial art beauty. At different times, the daylight presents layers of delicate tones such as red, yellow, white, and brown. The landscape is comparable to Cappadocia in Turkey, but more wild and pristine.
