The gym and massage services weren’t ready at opening, so it’s best to check before you go.

Day 1. Arrival and First Impressions of Kemer 🏔️🌊 We arrived in the dead of night between April 25th and 26th and headed straight to the Grand Miramor in the village of Kiris. We intentionally chose Kiris over the Kemer city center because it’s much quieter, surrounded by mountains, sea, and lush greenery—the perfect spot to balance an all-inclusive stay with independent exploration. The hotel sits right at the foot of the mountains and offers an Ultra All-Inclusive experience. That evening, we decided not to stay cooped up in the hotel and hiked over the mountain to Kemer 😅 To say it was tough would be an understatement. But those are the walks you remember most: mountains, pine trees, the sea, and incredible views of the coast from above. 📍 Where we stayed: Miramor Hotel, Kiriş Mahallesi, Kiriş Caddesi, Kemer, Antalya. 💡 Pro-tip: If you plan on doing a lot of mountain hiking, bring comfortable shoes—flip-flops are definitely not an option here. Day 2. Kemer Market, Shopping, and Ancient Phaselis 🧺🏛️ In the morning, we headed to Kemer’s famous Monday market. This was our first Turkish tourist challenge: we got slightly overcharged 😂 Rule number one: Always haggle! Especially if the initial price seems inflated. Here’s a useful hack: After the market, we checked out the souvenir shops nearby and found that some items were actually cheaper there than at the market. After a bit of shopping, we headed back to the hotel, rested for a couple of hours, and then set off on foot toward Phaselis after lunch. This was like a true journey through time. Phaselis is an ancient port city on a small peninsula, founded in the 7th century BC. You can see the remains of streets, temples, aqueducts, and other structures, all surrounded by pine forests and the Mediterranean Sea. The contrast is stunning: you’re literally walking through ancient ruins, and a few minutes later, you’re standing by the incredibly beautiful sea. 🐈 And, of course, we couldn't miss the local Turkish cats 😻 📍 Kemer Monday Market: Yeni Mah., 489. Sokak, 3, Kemer. 💰 Phaselis: The entry fee for foreign visitors is currently listed at €10. 🕐 During the season, the archaeological site is open from around 08:00 until evening, but it’s best to check the times before heading out. Day 3. A Day Without a Route—Part of the Journey Too 🌴🍹 After two days of active hiking, we decided to have a proper vacation day. No routes, no buses, no climbs. Just the pool, the sea, the sun, cocktails, and that endless feeling of: "This is exactly why we came here" 😌 Sometimes the best day of a trip is the one where absolutely nothing is planned. 📍 Location: Grand Miramor, Kiris. 💡 Pro-tip: If you’re choosing a hotel in Kemer, Kiris is great for those who want a calmer atmosphere but still want to be able to reach Kemer quickly. Day 4. Antalya, Shopping, and Kaleiçi 🚌🏛️ On April 29th, we woke up realizing we were terribly sunburned 😂🔥 But that didn't stop us—we hopped on a bus and headed to Antalya. By the way, taking a DIY trip from Kemer to Antalya is very convenient: public transport runs regularly between the resorts, so there’s no need to buy an expensive excursion. In Antalya, we spent a few hours shopping first, and then went for a stroll through Kaleiçi—the historic Old Town. Narrow streets, old Ottoman houses, small shops, carpets, souvenirs, and the harbor below—it’s a completely different vibe compared to resort-heavy Kemer. 📍 Kaleiçi: The historic center of Antalya, Muratpaşa district. 💡 Pro-tip: Set aside at least 2–3 hours for Kaleiçi. Even better, arrive closer to evening when it’s cooler and the city is especially beautiful. Day 5. Orange Groves, Strolls, and a Romantic Dinner 🍊❤️ On April 30th, we decided to slow down again. We walked around Kiris, enjoying nature and local fruits. At one point, we found the version of Turkey you see in childhood stories: oranges literally growing all around you 🍊 We tried mulberries, oranges, and lemons—everything was so fresh and fragrant that store-bought fruit just won't cut it anymore. For the evening, we had our own little grand finale—a romantic dinner with Mediterranean shrimp and wine 🦐🍷 📍 Kiris, Kemer, Antalya 💡 I recommend leaving at least one day for aimless wandering like this—you might accidentally find the most beautiful spots. Day 6. 300 Meters Up—and a Wild Beach 🌊⛰️ This turned out to be the most extreme day. We decided to hike up the mountain to the Turkish flag. We climbed about 300 meters in elevation—it turned out to be a real workout for us 😅 But the views were worth it. Mountains, pines, orange trees, the sea, and Kemer way down below. Then came the most interesting part—the descent to a wild beach. And this was no joke: the slope was very steep and quite dangerous in places. But at the bottom, a completely different Mediterranean Sea was waiting for us—crystal clear blue water, cliffs, shells, tiny live crabs, and almost no people. The interesting part is that you can reach this place by water—via motorboat or boat. But we decided to test ourselves and went on foot 😅 📍 Start: Kiris, Kemer, Antalya. ⚠️ Important: Don’t treat the descent to the wild beach as a casual walk. You need good shoes, water, and caution—especially on the climb back up. ❤️ The Big Takeaway In just a few days in Kemer, we managed to do it all: 🏨 stayed at an Ultra All-Inclusive 🌊 swam in the Mediterranean ⛰️ went into the mountains several times 🏛️ walked among ancient ruins 🧺 visited a local market 🚌 took a DIY trip to Antalya 🏘️ got lost in the streets of Kaleiçi 🍊 ate fruit straight from the trees 🦀 found a wild beach 🍹 and, of course, just had a great rest. And that’s exactly why I love independent travel—you never know which day will end up being the most memorable. 🇹🇷❤️
