Mungkorn Seafood - Buffet & Fish Market
This all-you-can-eat seafood restaurant was a place my husband had been looking forward to for ages. We'd heard so many people recommended it, even our taxi driver raved about it! That really raised our expectations.
And sure enough, we were immediately captivated by the delicious seafood! We ate our fill of all kinds of fresh shrimp. To be honest, I don't usually eat shrimp, but the shrimp here was absolutely amazing! With their special sauce, I couldn't stop eating. Every single shrimp was so fresh and juicy, it was incredibly satisfying.
Although the restaurant is a bit out of the way, honestly, the price is excellent value for the quality and ingredients. Definitely great value! The only minor disappointment was that the crab meat was a bit limited, but if I come back next time, I think I'd eat all the shrimp to my heart's content for an even more satisfying experience.
The restaurant offers both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned areas. Bangkok's evening weather is more comfortable than during the day, so for those who don't mind not having air conditioning, the non-air-conditioned area is a great option; the environment is spacious and comfortable.
This seafood feast was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend it – it's definitely worth a try!

💡 How to do Michelin in Bangkok right
✔ book in advance (some 1–2 months ahead)
✔ for budget Michelin — arrive before opening to skip the line
✔ when the server suggests the tasting menu — say yes
✔ “mild spicy” in Thailand is still spicy — don’t underestimate it
💬 Final note
Michelin in Bangkok isn’t about price —
it’s about flavor, emotion, and culture.
Sometimes the best meal is at a 2-star restaurant.
Sometimes it’s on a red plastic chair next to a street market.

Bangkok has a tropical monsoon climate which it is means hot and humid year-round. But if you like the heat, the city is an ideal vacation spot no matter the season. Having said that, the most pleasant months to visit are from November to March when the heat and humidity are at their lowest. The monsoon season occurs from May to October, with September and October being Bangkok’s rainiest months. April is typically the hottest time when days can get sweltering with highs of 37 °C (99 °F), and the coldest time is December with temperatures averaging 26 °C (79 °F).Due to cooler and drier weather, crowds are at their peak in late Fall and Winter, and this is particularly true around the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Visitors should expect higher prices, and it’s advisable to book accommodations months in advance. Another peak period is during the Thai New Year (Songkran) in mid-April, a popular time for domestic tourists to descend on the city. The off-peak seasons in Bangkok are July and August which happen to be the monsoon season. But if you don’t mind the weather, this is a great time to go as there are many good deals on hotels and flights. April through June, September and October are the shoulder seasons.
