Forget about prim European resorts. Batumi is Adjara — where palm trees grow right on the waterfront, and the air mixes scents of the sea, khinkali, and roasted coffee. Everything is bright, a little chaotic, and very southern in its joyfulness 🌞. What to see 👀: · The Waterfront — stretches for 7 km. On one side — sea and pebbles, on the other — palms, cafés, and quirky but charming sculptures. Be sure to find "Ali and Nino" — a moving statue of lovers that comes together and separates every 10 minutes. It's sad, beautiful, and deeply symbolic. · Europe Square — like a slice of an Italian city, with a clock that chimes every hour. Across from it — a grand palace with Moors and lions that looks like a Disney castle. · The Circus — if it's open, do step inside. I want to share my impressions of my recent vacation. I stayed at Bergo Apartments, and honestly, they became the best part of my trip to Georgia! First of all, the location is simply a gift. When choosing accommodation, I wanted everything to be close by, and I couldn't have made a better choice. The address is: Georgia, Batumi, 26 Memed Abashidze Street. The sea, the promenade, and plenty of cozy cafes are all within walking distance. I could stroll around as much as I wanted, come back to rest, and then head out again. The most important thing is the atmosphere inside. The apartment is very bright, clean, and has a well-thought-out interior. Everything you need is there: a comfortable bed, appliances that work perfectly, and the kitchen has everything for making breakfast. I was especially pleased with the balcony — I sat there with my coffee in the morning, looking at the city and breathing in the sea air. A special thank you to the hosts for their care and attention. Everything went smoothly, comfortably, and without any hassle. Bergo is exactly the kind of place you want to return to. If you're planning a trip to Batumi, I highly recommend it with all my heart! In contrast to the bustling Seaside Boulevard, it offers a much more relaxed vibe, featuring shaded pathways, Nurigeli Lake, rowboats on the water, and plenty of green spaces to unwind. As the oldest public garden in the city, its history dates all the way back to the 19th century. The main draw is Nurigeli Lake, which is encircled by scenic walking trails. It’s the perfect spot to take a break from sightseeing in Old Batumi, lounge by the water, or just do some people-watching. The park grounds also house a dolphinarium, cozy relaxation spots, and fun activities for kids. Today I decided to have lunch at the restaurant inside the Hilton Batumi, and honestly, the interior impressed me even more than the food (though the food was excellent too!). As soon as you walk in, your eyes are immediately drawn to that unusual sculpture at the entrance. It feels like you're not in a regular restaurant, but in some kind of art space. The lighting, the geometric ceiling, and the unconventional figures all create a very stylish and even slightly surreal atmosphere. Cozy armchairs, pleasant music, and seafood that simply melts in your mouth. The staff is welcoming, and everything is fast and high-quality. I highly recommend stopping by here if you're in Batumi and want not just a delicious meal, but also an aesthetic experience. Be sure to order something from their signature menu.
