🐼🎋 Sharing the ultimate spots for adorable panda-filled cafes. Falling head over heels for 'Chengdu,' a city overflowing with charm! Everywhere you go, the cafes are completely packed with pandas! It’s a city that literally screams "CUTE." If you're looking for a soul-healing getaway, you absolutely have to visit Chengdu, China—the hometown of giant pandas. Let me tell you, their adorable vibe truly seeps into every single corner of this city.
Chengdu
Enjoy hotpot... while watching a show where every scene = 1 dish It's like watching a traditional Chinese drama + dining at the same time The highlight here is the authentic Sichuan hotpot paired with a spectacular show telling ancient Chinese stories (complete with incredible light and sound effects). The staff are dressed in ancient costumes, making for a truly fabulous dining experience. Plus, there's a photo studio and traditional Chinese costumes available for guests to wear. The cost is around 2,000+ THB per person, depending on the season.
Chengdu
It’s easy to think of Chengdu simply as the city of pandas and spicy food, but in just one day, you can experience its laid-back rhythm, its modern edge, and its historic charm. The key isn't trying to "do it all," but rather putting together one cohesive day. ⸻ Morning — Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding 🐼 It's the most famous spot in the city, but in the morning, it feels completely different—quiet, fresh, and incredibly lively. My Route Arrive at opening → head straight to the panda enclosures → watch them be active in the morning → take a peaceful stroll around the grounds. Tips ∙ 🕐 Best to get there right when it opens ∙ 🌿 Pandas are most active in the morning; they mostly sleep later on ∙ 📸 Bring a telephoto lens or use a good zoom to get the best shots ⸻ Late Morning — Wenshu Monastery 🕌 An oasis of tranquility right in the heart of the city, where you can truly feel the vibe of old Chengdu. My Route Wander through the temple → grab tea at the monastery's teahouse → slow down a bit after a busy morning. Tips ∙ 🌿 A super relaxing and peaceful atmosphere ∙ 🍵 The tea rooms inside are a must-do experience ∙ 📸 Gorgeous architectural details and scenic courtyards ⸻ Afternoon — Kuanzhai Alley 🏮 Historic alleys where old Chengdu seamlessly blends with modern cafes and boutique shops. My Route Stroll through the narrow lanes → try some street food → pop into the inner courtyards. Tips ∙ 🌿 Wander off the main streets to explore the side alleys ∙ 🍢 An excellent spot to grab some local street food ∙ 📸 The textured walls and vintage signs are incredibly atmospheric ⸻ Evening — Tianfu Art Park 🌿 The modern, peaceful side of the city—stunning architecture, water features, and a great sense of space. My Route Arrive closer to sunset → take a walk around the lake → check out the museum buildings → stick around for the blue hour. Tips ∙ 🌅 The golden time is during and right after sunset ∙ 🌿 A very spacious and quiet environment ∙ 📸 The water reflections and minimalist vibes are extremely photogenic ⸻ Night — Jinli Street 🎏 Wrapping up the day in a vibrant, glowing nighttime atmosphere. My Route Walk down the street → sample local snacks → take in the beautiful night illuminations. Tips ∙ 🌙 Best experienced after dark ∙ 🍜 A great spot for street food ∙ 📸 The glowing lanterns and decorations create a magical, festive vibe ⸻ How I'd put together 1 day ∙ Morning: Panda Base ∙ Late Morning: Wenshu Monastery ∙ Afternoon: Kuanzhai Alley ∙ Sunset: Tianfu Art Park ∙ Night: Jinli Street ⸻ A single day in Chengdu is best experienced through its contrasts: nature and tranquility in the morning, the historic old town in the afternoon, and modern urban spaces at sunset.

Chengdu Itinerary. What is there to see in Chengdu besides pandas? Here is an itinerary for a few days 1 First things first, head over to Taikoo Li Chengdu (太古里成都)—a high-end, open-air pedestrian shopping district in downtown Chengdu (Jinjiang District) that perfectly blends modern architecture and luxury boutiques with traditional Sichuan-style buildings featuring tiled roofs. 2 The ancient Buddhist Daci Temple (大慈寺). This is a unique spot located right in the middle of Taikoo Li Chengdu. 3 The giant panda sculpture climbing up the wall is located on the Chengdu IFS (International Finance Square) shopping mall building in downtown Chengdu. 4 Check out the beautiful Anshun Corridor Bridge. It features a historical style. It's fascinating to stroll along the waterfront promenade, which is filled with cafes and restaurants. 5 Just across from the bridge, you can grab a bite at LA Costa Luming Spanish Restaurant (Shangri-La Branch). 6 You absolutely must visit the Chengdu Museum! It's incredibly interesting, and entry is free with your passport. 7 Come in the evening after dark to see the beautifully illuminated Twin Towers at Financial City (金融城). 8 The best view of the towers is from the circular bridge right across from them. The bridge itself is also quite unique. Afterward, take a walk down Jiaozi Avenue. The lighting there is gorgeous. 9 🌿 Make sure to visit the municipal People's Park - Chengdu No.1 Air-raid Shelter (成都一号防空洞). 10 ⛩️ Stroll down Jinli Old Street (锦里古街). The architecture here is in a traditional style, and there are plenty of cafe-teahouses hosting face-changing mask shows. 11🎭 You definitely have to watch a mask show in Chengdu! It's a unique performance where the actor magically changes masks.
