Canal City Fukuoka Washington Hotel
(Save. Share) Still wondering about accommodation for your Fukuoka trip? 🏨 Here is a real review of the ‘Canal City Fukuoka Washington Hotel,’ which I stayed at on my own! Honestly, the room condition feels exactly like a clean Japanese business hotel, but the main advantage is its unbeatable accessibility.. 👑 ✨ Unique Highlights 1⃣ Private Elevator: Get on and enter Canal City Shopping Mall in just 1 minute! 🛍 You can also get to Ichiran Ramen (Canal City branch) in 1 minute! 2⃣ 28-inch Suitcase: Forget the stereotype that Japanese hotels are cramped! There is plenty of room even with a 28-inch suitcase fully spread out 🧳 3⃣ Late-Night Stroll: The romance of strolling through the quiet, closed-off Canal City as if you’ve rented the whole place is a bonus! 🌙 4⃣ View Healing: If you're lucky, you can enjoy a view of the sparkling Christmas tree from your room (This is the real healing🎄) 5⃣ Amenities: Every floor has beer & beverage vending machines, ice machines, and even pajamas, so you can just come empty-handed! 📍 Walking Tour of Restaurants (The route is insane) Lawson & Family Mart (3 mins) 🏪 Full Full Hakata (3 mins) 🥖 Yakiniku Kagura Gionmachi (3 mins) 🥩 FUK COFFEE (4 mins) ☕ Kushida Shrine & Hakata Motsunabe Maedaya Riverside Nakasu (5 mins) 🍲 Gion Station (8 mins) 🚉 💸 Breakfast (2,420 yen) is on the expensive side, so I don't recommend it! Instead, just visit the convenience store 3 minutes away and raid the nearby restaurants to complete a super-budget trip! ✨ Jump Shop, Ghibli, and Sanrio fans, you know this is heaven, right? Make sure you come prepared with an empty wallet... 💸 🏨 Hotel Info 📍 Canal City Fukuoka Washington Hotel (〒812-0018 Fukuoka, Hakata Ward, Sumiyoshi, 1 Chome−2−20) ⏰ Check-in: 2:00 PM / Check-out: 11:00 AM ✅ Facilities: Fully equipped with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, coffee maker, business center, and coin laundry! @Friend, this is our Fukuoka accommodation, save this!📌 #FukuokaHotel #FukuokaAccommodation #CanalCityWashingtonHotel #FukuokaTravel #JapanTravel

(Save. Share) Must-Read for Fukuoka Travelers! ✈ Don't be flustered at the newly renovated airport! Fukuoka Airport is currently undergoing a major transformation! The routes have changed, so it might be confusing; [Save] this and check it as soon as you arrive! 🚩 🚌 1. What if you have a lot of luggage? [Bus] Boarding Location: Exit the 1st floor of the International Terminal, go straight, and board at Platforms 6 or 7. Fare: 310 yen (Takes about 15–20 minutes to Hakata Station) Recommendation: Highly recommended for those staying near Hakata Station or those who find it a hassle to carry luggage on the shuttle! - You can pay for transportation using a card shaped like a Wi-Fi icon. 🚇 2. The Art of Getting Around - Budget-Friendly Travel! [Subway Guide] 1. Once you exit the arrival hall, go straight to the right of the information desk!! 2. Exit through the exit opposite the Lawson convenience store. 3. Board the free shuttle bus at Platform 5 (approx. 10-minute ride). 4. Once you get off the domestic terminal, take the subway to Hakata Station in just 5 minutes! It takes 11 minutes to Tenjin!! 💳 Here is a key tip! (How to save on transportation costs) Is the subway in Japan expensive? NO! In Fukuoka, the 'Contactless Card' is the way to go. You don't need to buy a separate ticket; just tap the Travelogue, Travel Wallet, or credit card you used in Korea (the WIFI icon is a must)! No matter how much you ride the subway in a day, you will only be charged up to a maximum of 640 yen. (It's a guaranteed win even if you only ride 3 times! 🙊) * Buses are not included in the calculation. #FukuokaTravel #FukuokaAirport #FukuokaAirportRenewal #FukuokaIndependentTravel #HowToGetToHakataStation #FukuokaSubway #FukuokaBus #Travelogue #TravelWallet #JapanTravelTips #FukuokaTravelItinerary #FukuokaImmigration #JapanContactlessCard #TravelInfoSharing #FukuokaHonestReview
ICHIRAN Original Shop and Headquarters
Wrapping up the eats from my solo trip to Fukuoka Zero misses, and there are even a few spots I'd fly back just to eat at again! 1. Ichiran Ramen Finally made a pilgrimage to its birthplace 🍜 The rich tonkotsu broth is seriously top-tier (if you're sensitive to salt, I recommend choosing the light flavor) Add a little chili powder, and it takes it to a whole new level 👉 Completely stress-free for solo diners (the partition booths are amazing) 2. Hakata Seafood Uoden Definitely take note of this one ‼️ The seafood donburi is only served from 11:30 to 16:00 No reservations, you have to pull a number ticket on-site But—it's totally worth the wait 👏 The freshness is off the charts, and there are tons of locals too 3. Tonkatsu Akari An absolute hidden gem I stumbled upon by accident ✨ The meat is incredibly tender and not dry at all The rice is also super fragrant 👉 My #1 tonkatsu right now (I'll seriously crave this) 4. Kura Sushi You have to experience conveyor belt sushi at least once in Japan 🍣 It's about half the price compared to Taiwan (you'll seriously eat so much) Plus, there are lots of exclusive items you can't find in Taiwan Eating here really gives you that authentic travel vibe 5. Aso Volcano Milk Super rich but incredibly smooth 🥛 Tastes very natural with no weird artificial sweetness 👉 Milk lovers will definitely be obsessed 6. Meiji Milk Tea This drink is super viral on Threads 🔥 I literally drank a bottle for breakfast every single day 👉 The tea and milk flavors are perfectly balanced, not cloying at all ✨ Summary Fukuoka is seriously the perfect "foodie solo travel city" Transportation is simple, shops are clustered together, and there are almost zero misses If you're short on time for these 6 spots 👉 You can honestly just hit them up in this exact order

Fukuoka Tower
Heading to Kyushu in June First stop: Landing in Fukuoka A 4-day, 3-night trip including a day tour to the surrounding areas. Super chill and completely hassle-free! 📅 Itinerary D1: Arrive at Fukuoka Airport - Hotel - Canal City Hakata - Nakasu Yatai Street If you land at the international terminal, grab the 🆓 shuttle bus to the domestic terminal, then hop on the subway. Fukuoka is the only 1️⃣ city in Japan where the subway connects directly to the airport. Just 2 stops and you're in downtown Hakata! 🤩 📍 Canal City Hakata: A massive shopping complex opened in 1996 with a canal running right through it. There's a killer vintage shop where I scored a Ralph Lauren piece for just 200 RMB! 👍 It also features a Ramen Stadium. 📍 Nakasu Yatai Street: Located along the Naka River, it's incredibly lively every night. They don't sell raw or cold foods here, so you can eat with total peace of mind. D2: Ohori Park - Art Museum - Tenjin - Fukuoka Tower 📍 Ohori Park: Head there in the morning. If the weather is nice, take a stroll or rent a rowboat. Lots of locals come here to chill out. 📍 Fukuoka Art Museum: Yayoi Kusama's iconic giant pumpkin sits right outside. Admission is 🎫 200 JPY. With 16,000 pieces in its collection, it's a great place to explore, and they host special exhibitions periodically. 📍 Tenjin: The largest 👄 shopping district in Kyushu. The 600m underground mall and nearby department stores like Daimaru, Iwataya, and One Fukuoka are absolute shopping paradises. Don't forget to snap a pic at the pixel 🌳! 📍 Fukuoka Tower: At 234m tall, it offers a stunning panoramic view. Even if you don't go up to the observation deck, the night illuminations are gorgeous. D3: Kushida Shrine - Tochoji Temple - Hakata 📍 Kushida Shrine: Famous for the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival in July. 📍 Tochoji Temple: Home to a magnificent 10.8-meter wooden Buddha statue. 📍 Hakata: The signature spot of Fukuoka ⭐️. Its underground mall rivals Tenjin's in size. AMU Plaza, AMU EST, and Hankyu are all seamlessly connected. Plus, KITTE Marui houses Kyushu's only 1️⃣ Pokémon Center. D4: Yufuin Day Trip 📅 Where to Stay 🟠 Hakata: The ultimate transit hub for all of Kyushu. Super convenient if you have day trips planned! 👍 🟠 Tenjin: A major hotspot for trendy fashion. Shopaholics should definitely stay here. 🟠 Nakasu: Nestled between Hakata and Tenjin. The hotel we stayed at is in this area, and the cost performance is fantastic! 📅 What to Eat Fukuoka is universally recognized as Japan's food capital. Every meal here is an absolute feast! 🍜 Ramen: The global flagship store of Ichiran Ramen is in Nakasu, complete with performances. If the line is too long, check out Hakata Ikkousha, Hakata Daruma, or the Ramen Stadium. 🐟 Mentaiko: Fukuoka's famous spicy pollock roe. The trending way to enjoy it is on a baguette. "The Full Full" always has a massive line (you can book ahead on Line). 🍲 Motsunabe (Offal Hot Pot): Ganso Motsunabe Rakutenchi. 🥩 Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ): Yakiniku NIKUICHI, Yakiniku Sudo Haruyoshi, Niku no Yamasho. 🍴 French Cuisine: Restaurant Sola (Highly recommended! 👍) Overall, slowing down your pace in Fukuoka is incredibly relaxing and comfortable.
