If you’re visiting Hat Yai, don’t just stick to the city center! One of the experiences I’d definitely recommend adding to your itinerary is Khlong Hae Floating Market. My first impression? Colorful, lively, and full of delicious local food! 🥢🇹🇭 What makes this place special is the traditional floating market atmosphere, with vendors selling food and drinks directly from small boats along the canal. You can find everything from Thai street food and grilled snacks to refreshing drinks and local treats. 💡 My tips: Come in the late afternoon when the weather is more comfortable and the market starts getting busier. Bring Thai Baht in cash, as some vendors may not accept cards. The overall atmosphere is simple yet unique. 🛏️ Rooms The rooms are quite spacious, the beds are comfortable, and everything is new and clean. There are plenty of power outlets, Wi-Fi, and all basic amenities are provided. The bathroom is practical with clear separation between the toilet and shower. Water pressure is strong, and the linens and towels are spotless. ☕ Hotel Café Inside, there's the Blue Finch Café, which has a cozy, quiet vibe—perfect for relaxing with a coffee or getting some light work done after exploring. Having breakfast there also saves you from rushing out to find food elsewhere. 👩🏻💼 Service The staff are polite, friendly, and give great recommendations. They were very approachable and helpful, leaving a great impression throughout my stay. The mall has multiple floors and a spacious interior design, with escalators and a large central atrium, making it easy to browse the various shops. There are also plenty of photo opportunities, especially in the central atrium which often features colorful and eye-catching installation art. 🍽️ A key highlight is the "extensive selection of restaurants." If you're unsure what to eat, you'll find something for almost every taste, from Japanese and Western cuisine to snacks and desserts. Some interesting restaurants I saw during this exploration include: · Sizzler (Central Hatyai) — Perfect for those who want steak and enjoy a salad bar. Sizzler's main meals come with a salad bar, subject to restaurant conditions. · Ootoya (Central Hatyai) — Japanese Teishoku-style food, ideal for those who want a more substantial set meal. · Pepper Lunch — A wide variety of menu options for meat lovers and those who enjoy hot plate dishes. · The Pizza Company — Simple choices for pizza, pasta, and dishes for sharing. The Central Festival Hatyai branch is approximately open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. · Swensen’s — A great way to finish off a meal with ice cream. · Mister Donut — Desserts and snacks, with quite a few people queuing from the pictures. In addition, there are many other types of restaurants and beverage shops, making it convenient to visit alone, with friends, or family. ⏰ Recommended Time: Afternoon (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM) This is the best time for those who want to stroll around the mall comfortably before it gets too crowded during dinner time. This is a great time for strolling, shopping, and grabbing a drink or snack. 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM is perfect for foodies, as you can browse restaurants and then enjoy dessert. However, dinner time is more lively. Currently, Central Hatyai is open daily from approximately 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. 💡 If you only have 2-3 hours: I recommend a simple itinerary: Explore Hatyai Hall → Browse restaurants → Choose a main meal → Have dessert/ice cream → Go shopping before heading back. For a full meal, Sizzler is a good option, especially for those who love salad bars.
