I went to Kualoa Ranch, a filming location for Jurassic Park! It was truly like being in the movie!!! Riding a buggy through the magnificent mountains was exciting, and seeing the film sets and cows along the way was thrilling ✨ Unfortunately, a thunderstorm cut our visit short, but it was an amazing memory. The line is located in front of the dedicated elevator on the lobby floor of the Ala Moana Hotel. The happy hour-only steaks are limited in quantity, so it's first-come, first-served. If you're aiming for one, it's recommended to line up early. The restaurant has a spacious feel thanks to its high-rise location, and the views of Waikiki and Ala Moana from the windows are beautiful. Enjoying a meal while watching the scenery change from evening to night was also a great attraction. -Halekulani Bakery- A highly popular bakery from the Halekulani group. The shop offers a wide selection, from croissants and danishes to sweet pastries, along with a great variety of souvenir items. They open at 6:30 AM. We arrived around 6:40 AM this time, but there were already several groups waiting in line, which really showed how popular it is. Some pastries seem to sell out depending on the time of day, so if you have a specific item in mind, we highly recommend arriving early. This time, we mostly got croissants to go. They had beautiful, crispy layers, making them absolutely perfect for a relaxing breakfast back at the hotel. Dine-in is available, but the drinks felt a bit pricey, so we opted for takeout this time. Access: Approximately 40 minutes by taxi from Honolulu Airport. I booked the taxi in advance! It's also about 50 minutes from Honolulu. There can be traffic jams, so it's best to allow extra time for travel. Sightseeing Spots: There's a small shopping area near Aulani with ABC Mart, Starbucks, Eggs 'n Things, and more, making it convenient for dining and shopping! Hotel: You can enjoy the pool and beach within the hotel grounds, and there are also golf courses and shopping areas outside the grounds for a relaxing stay. Dining & Restaurants: You can find restaurants (reservations required), as well as pizza, burgers, bread, and fruit, all within the hotel and poolside! If you have a refillable mug, you can enjoy unlimited drinks from the beverage dispenser, which is highly recommended during your stay! You can also use the mug again on subsequent visits! Although a little pricey, buying a bento box from the nearby ABC Mart and enjoying it leisurely in your room is also recommended! Shopping: There are two shops within the hotel and one on the beachside. The Aulani-exclusive goods are also very cute! I was able to purchase the same Mickey Mouse lamp that was in the room!
