Langkawi SkyCab
Langkawi SkyBridge is one of those places you really shouldn’t skip when visiting Langkawi. There are a few packages available to get up here, along with different cable car options to choose from. If you’re feeling brave, there’s even a cable car with a transparent bottom — not for the faint-hearted. Here’s a cool trivia: the SkyBridge is a curved pedestrian bridge that’s supported by just a single main pylon, which is pretty rare for a structure like this. It’s about 125 metres long and sits more than 600 metres above sea level. On a clear day, the views from the cable car and the bridge itself are unreal — lush rainforest below and the ocean stretching out in the distance. I went up to the SkyBridge using the SkyGlide, which costs RM16 for adults. It’s convenient and saves a lot of energy. There’s also an option to walk up, but that means climbing over 300 steps, so it really depends on how fit you’re feeling. If the weather’s on your side, the SkyBridge experience is totally worth it and easily one of Langkawi’s highlights. #langkawi
Kilim Geoforest Park
Discovered the ultimate laid-back resort in Langkawi — a Nanyang-style wooden villa, just steps from the white sandy beach, and breakfast served until 11 AM so you can sleep in. This is exactly how an island vacation should be🏝 📍 The resort boasts a private white sandy beach, avoiding the crowds of Cenang Beach and other areas, offering a peaceful and pleasant environment. It’s super close to the airport, just a 10-15 minute taxi ride away. 🍷 Just a few minutes’ walk to Katul Bar, where you can watch the sunset and enjoy the blacksmith fireworks show at night. Entertainment and leisure are super convenient~ 【Resort Highlights⭕】 ✅ The Nanyang-style wooden villas are incredibly soothing! All rooms are two-story wooden cottages, with two rooms on the first floor, good soundproofing and cleanliness. Each room has a terrace where you can drink tea, enjoy the view, and feel the island breeze — so relaxing you won’t want to move✨ ✅ Private white sandy beach + family-friendly both available! The private beach is less crowded and well-maintained, with a huge pool and water play facilities for both adults and kids. There’s also a small farm and indoor play area. Older kids can opt for daycare services, with staff patiently accompanying the children, making it very reassuring for families with kids~ ✅ Thoughtful dining that touches the heart! Free daily buffet breakfast served until 11 AM, so you don’t have to worry about missing it even if you sleep in — complete “breakfast freedom”☀️ There are two specialty restaurants: highly recommend the Asian restaurant, with flavors suited to Chinese tastes; the other is a sea view restaurant serving Western cuisine, perfect if you want a change or to enjoy the ocean view~ Dinner at the hotel is also great, with a wide variety and excellent value for money~ ✅ Warm details + total relaxation freedom! Upon arrival, you’re greeted with juice and a hot towel, full of ceremony💖 Housekeeping is done in the afternoon, so you don’t have to be forced awake in the morning — complete “laid-back freedom”~ The sunset and blacksmith fireworks show at Katul Bar next door are spectacular, so you won’t be bored at night~ If you want to just relax in Langkawi without rushing to see sights or doing activities, this place is a no-brainer!
Ombak Villa Langkawi
When in Langkawi, it’s all about going big! Here are my top 3 picks for an unforgettable trip: 1️⃣ Take the longest cable car ride up to the iconic Sky Bridge—trust me, the night views are absolutely unreal! The bridge is lit up and suspended over paradise, giving you those wild, panoramic sea-and-light vibes you’ll never forget. Address: Jalan Telaga Tujuh, 07000 Langkawi, Kedah. The cable car operates from 9:30am till 7:00pm—so sunset rides are next level! 2️⃣ Dive into the 4D Art Museum for endless selfie ops and creative laughs! It’s super fun and perfect for those travel squad memories. The museum’s open daily, 9:00am–6:00pm, and you’ll find it right next to the cable car base station. 3️⃣ End your adventure with a chill stay at Ombak Villa Langkawi (Address: Lot 78, Jalan Kuala Muda, Padang Matsirat, 07100 Langkawi, Kedah). It’s the perfect blend of nature and luxury, with sea breezes and comfort that hits different. The resort offers stunning beach views and is the ultimate spot to recharge for the next day’s adventures. Book your experience on trip.com and get ready for epic memories!
Rebak Island Resort & Marina Langkawi
As soon as I arrived in Langkawi, I couldn’t wait to experience Rebak Island Resort & Marina. This resort is located on a private island, just a five-minute boat ride away, adding a sense of adventure to the whole trip. The resort’s location is exceptional, surrounded by a tranquil bay, and you can get up close to hornbills and sea eagles—truly a perfect spot for nature lovers. No need to worry about how to get there; there’s a dedicated shuttle service from the airport. The resort’s style blends perfectly with the surrounding natural environment. Although the buildings have a bit of a historic feel, it actually gives a sense of peace during the journey. The pool is one of my favorite spots, especially the serene atmosphere at night. My room was on the second floor, overlooking a spectacular tropical garden and a small beach, feeling like a home perfectly integrated with nature. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the front desk made me feel right at home—one word: comfortable! Plus, the food quality was excellent, with a Michelin-level dinner highly recommended. The room was very spacious, with a large bed, a comfortable bathroom, and a big balcony overlooking the garden view, which helped me relax completely. Although the room was a bit old, it didn’t affect the comfort, and all necessary facilities were well-equipped. Wanting to stay longer was the norm~ There are also many activities worth trying nearby, such as cycling through the nearby mangroves, jet skiing, or visiting the scuba diving center, so you can enjoy life while having adventures. The nearby restaurant options are also abundant; I recommend trying Rimba at Ambong Pool Villas—the food there is truly irresistible! Of course, nothing is perfect. The resort’s WiFi can be a bit unstable at times, and I hope they can renovate the older rooms, but these don’t really affect the overall vacation experience. Also, mosquitoes can be a bit annoying during evening walks 🤦‍♀️. The island ferry schedule needs to be planned in advance, but once arranged, it doesn’t hinder enjoying the stay at all! Rebak Island Resort & Marina is a little island paradise worth visiting. Every moment is a memory to cherish 🌅. I will definitely come back next time; the sunshine and waves of Langkawi have already deeply settled in my heart.
Resorts World Langkawi
Malaysia's Paradise Corner | This is the perfect place to stay and gaze at the sea 🏝️ Resorts World Langkawi is located in Tanjung Malai, Kedawang, Malaysia. This area is considered the end of the island, surrounded by the sea and lush greenery, so quiet that you can't help but want to stay long-term. It's a bit far to drive to the city center from here, but the hotel also provides shuttle services, and taxis are readily available. The location is perfect for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle 💆‍♀️. There's even a scenic pier nearby, great for photos 📸! In fact, as soon as you enter the hotel lobby, you'll be drawn to its design. It was recently renovated, and the overall style is fresh, with a relaxed tropical resort vibe ✨. The front desk staff's service attitude during check-in was pleasant. Although there was a bit of a wait, they were very enthusiastic, so it didn't feel annoying. As for the facilities, the infinity pool here is a social media sensation. Swimming with a view of the sea instantly puts you in a perfect mood 🏊‍♂️! There's also a seaside terrace bar, where any photo you take looks like a holiday blockbuster. The room layout is reasonable, but the separate design of the washroom and toilet might take some getting used to 🤔. I chose a sea-view room with a balcony. It's truly beautiful when the sun shines in, and simply relaxing on the balcony is a pure delight. The room space is really huge, and the double bed is super comfortable, though the decor is a bit old, showing signs of age. But I must mention, with the sea breeze blowing during the day, it's hard to leave the balcony 🌅. Although the Wi-Fi signal isn't particularly strong, being offline allows you to appreciate nature's company even more! The staff provides two small bottles of water daily; if it's not enough, you can buy more from the small shops outside. Overall, the room is clean and tidy, but some details could be improved, such as the low water pressure in the bathroom, which needs adjustment 🛁. If you have ample time, you can relax at the nearby "Mimone Spa" or "Teratai Spa"; a shoulder and neck massage will leave you fully refreshed 💆‍♂️. You can also rent a scooter or car from "Langkawi Nice Scooter & Car Rental" and enjoy a leisurely drive along the coastal road, which is a unique pleasure 🚗. There are also many dining options. "La Yang Poolside Restaurant & Bar" has a great ambiance; sitting by the pool with a drink 🍹 creates a wonderful holiday vibe! The only minor regret is that the hotel's breakfast didn't receive universal praise. Although there was a decent variety, some juices and cheeses might have detracted from the experience. However, the queue for omelets was a lively experience! Also, the meticulousness of the cleaning and room maintenance could be further enhanced 👀, as encountering ants was a bit of a shock 😨. So, if these issues were slightly improved, the experience would be even better. Regardless, the "minor drawbacks" of Resorts World Langkawi do not overshadow its beautiful scenery and ambiance. You definitely should experience it at least once, especially for a vacation or a quiet escape 🌊.
