A perfect itinerary is to spend 2–3 days exploring Luxembourg City first. Walk through the old town, admire the impressive fortress remains, and enjoy the stunning viewpoints overlooking the valleys and bridges. The city feels historic, peaceful, and incredibly green at the same time. Then head east to the Moselle region, where rolling vineyards follow the river and small villages create a completely different atmosphere from the capital. It's a wonderful place for slow travel, river views, wine tasting, and countryside walks. Another highlight is the Mullerthal region, often called "Little Switzerland." The sandstone rock formations, forest trails, and dramatic cliffs make it one of the most beautiful natural areas in the country. Travel tip: Luxembourg has one of the best public transport systems in Europe. All public transportation within the country is free, making it incredibly easy and convenient to explore without a car.
