📌 It felt like stepping into virtual reality: I simultaneously strolled through several European capitals, played poker at the world's largest casino (where, by the way, I hit the jackpot), had breakfast with views of Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower, and floated along the canals of Venice. 📌 Upon arriving in Macau and stepping off the ferry, I immediately noticed signs in Portuguese, which is no coincidence. Until 1999, Macau was the oldest European colony in East Asia for over 400 years. Now, like Hong Kong, it is designated as a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China, with its own currency and two official languages: Chinese and Portuguese. 📌 Macau covers an area of just 28 square kilometers and is considered the most densely populated place on the planet. The city-state ranks second in the world for life expectancy (84.5 years). Thanks to the development of casinos, the city's economy has surged in recent years, with annual casino revenues sometimes surpassing those of Las Vegas. The casino atmosphere deserves special attention. A significant amount of Asian money of various origins flows through Macau, which is home to over 30 casinos. 📌 Macau can captivate you just as much as Las Vegas. This destination is intriguing not only for avid gamblers but also for casual travelers who can discover a completely different side of China. It's undoubtedly a must-visit for anyone traveling to China. You'll want to return here again and again.
Studio City Macau
This time, our trip to Macau focused on Studio City! As one of Macau's must-visit large-scale resorts, it is not only conveniently located but also offers entertainment suitable for families, couples, and groups of friends. The highlight of our visit was the Snow Park, where you can play in the snow, take photos, and even exchange for free plush toys. We also encountered the magical combination of a Christmas tree and huskies, which felt incredibly heartwarming! 🌲🐶 🎉 Highlights of the Trip Studio City is well-known for its luxurious entertainment facilities (Ferris wheel, water park, and flying stage shows), but this time, I highly recommend the Snow Park, which offers free entry! 🧊 Snow Play Experience As someone from the south who has never seen snow, the Snow Park at Studio City is truly exciting! Inside, there are simple snow slides perfect for kids. Make sure to take lots of photos as the indoor lighting is naturally soft and beautiful. It feels like winter has arrived early in Macau this year! 🎁 Tips for Free Plush Toy Exchange Scan the event QR code and complete simple tasks to exchange for a free plush toy! However, there are only 200 toys available daily, and the exchange starts at 12:00 PM. It's recommended to queue up by 11:00 AM! Studio City in Macau is not just a casino; it offers many unique entertainment options waiting to be discovered. It's especially ideal for family trips, where you can play in the snow, exchange plush toys, and enjoy delicious food—all in one go! Next time you're in Macau, try out this trendy way to have fun!
Macau
🤫Did you know you can travel from Hong Kong to Macau for free? If not, here are detailed instructions on how to get a free ticket to Macau on Cotai Water Jet or Turbojet. The program is currently running until December 31, 2025; it's unknown whether it will be extended. You can get to Macau by bus, car, or ferry. There are only two ferry companies: Cotai Water Jet (blue) and Turbojet (red). The ferries themselves are identical inside, but the most important things to remember are: 🔵Blue ferries go to the casino district (Taipa) 🔴Red ferries go to the historic center. The program that provides the free ticket is called "Fly you to Macau." Key points to know: ✅️You can only get one free ticket from Hong Kong to Macau. ✅️There are only 6 tickets available for each ferry, so it's best to book online, as they may not be available at the ticket office. ✅️You must NOT be a citizen of Hong Kong, Macau, or China and be staying in Hong Kong for no more than 6 days! You can find the link online, but if that doesn't work, please contact us 👌🏻 On the website, you fill out a simple form, and a confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide. All ferries depart from HK Macao Port Station, MTR Sheung Wan Station (Exit D). Follow the signs for "Macao Ferry Terminal." Don't bother going to the ticket office; instead, go straight to the document check, following the signs. At the first counter, the staff will ask for: ✅️Your passport. ✅️Electronic confirmation of your free ticket. ✅️Visitor-Permitted (a small piece of paper you were given upon entering Hong Kong instead of a stamp). Without it, you cannot get a free ticket to Macau. Next, you go through passport check and follow the signs to the waiting area. Be careful: the red and blue ferries have different boarding gates, but there are signs everywhere ‼️ Your ferry seat is assigned just before you enter the waiting area. 🕐Ferries depart every 30 minutes. 🕐Travel time is 1 hour. #macau #hongkong🇭🇰 #China #flyyoutomacao #travelingram #中国
Senado Square
#NovemberDestinations2025 A ten-day loop trip from Taiwan-Hong Kong-Macau-Qingdao-Weihai-Yantai-Seoul, South Korea - on the way home ✈️ First stop: Macau, which happened to be mid-December. Actually, Macau is a great place to visit year-round 🇲🇴, but December has the strongest Christmas 🤶❄️ festive feel. As long as you're not in amusement parks, but rather visiting historical sites like Rua do Cunha, Rua do Almirante Sérgio, and Rua da Felicidade ✨, you can enjoy the festive atmosphere. Since I didn't want to leave the island and had to return to Zhuhai, I chose the Macau Peninsula. The Senado Square, Rua do Almirante Sérgio, and Rua da Felicidade area are great to visit year-round, but at this time of year, the Portuguese historical buildings and old churches are adorned with Christmas decorations and lights, and you can hear Christmas carols everywhere 🎅🤶. Plus, the temperature is quite cool now ❄️ Strolling through the old town won't leave you sweating like at other times 🏃 The route can be: enter from Senado Square, go to the main street, and then return to Rua Nova da Felicidade (there are many unique snacks here). I accidentally walked too far and ended up at the St. Louis waterfront! This area is a true authentic Macau experience, with plenty of cheap street food (but not at night). This time, I chose to stay in a historic hotel in front of the Grand Lisboa. The owner was Portuguese, and the building had many Portuguese inscriptions and old photos. Sleeping under the dazzling lights of the Grand Lisboa 🛌 NO Tian, Only Zhuang Xian ✨ Truly experiencing the city's dazzling, extravagant atmosphere, and feeling my own insignificance. #NewYearDestinations2025 #Macau #MacauItinerary #MacauLisboaPeople #trip
