Madrasa Ben Youssef
📸 Our tour guide took us straight to Madrasa Ben Youssef, and OMG, this spot is a total hidden gem in Marrakech! Located on Rue Assouel, right in the heart of the city, the Madrasa is a must-see if you’re into epic architecture and Insta-worthy vibes. The sunlight streaming through those stunning halls makes everything look sooo good! 🌞 Madrasa Ben Youssef is legit one of the coolest places to snap a pic or dive into some local culture. The Western-style design mixed with classic Moroccan details? Absolute perfection! The intricate courtyards and close-up building shots had my camera working overtime. If you’re strolling around Marrakech, don’t skip this iconic building! It’s open daily (pro tip: check trip.com for updated opening hours before you go), and the energy here is always buzzing. Whether you’re a history nerd or just chasing aesthetic spots, this Madrasa is a must-add to your walking tour. 💯✨#TravelTips #marrakech #morocco #moroccotravel #travel2026
Gueliz
#winterescape If Marrakech is a treasure chest, Residence Dar Dmana is the sparkling jewel tucked away in a velvet corner. Whether you’re staying in their traditional riad spaces or their sleek apartments, this spot is the ultimate "if you know, you know" destination. While many visitors stay in traditional riads (enclosed courtyard houses), Residence Dar Dmana offers a different, more modern slice of Marrakech life. Located in the vibrant Gueliz and M'hamid areas, these apartments are where contemporary comfort meets Red City soul. Here are the fun facts that make this hidden gem shine: 1. A Name with a "Safety Net" ✨✨✨ In Arabic, Dmana (ضمانة) translates to "Guarantee" or "Assurance." The name isn't just a label; it’s a promise of peace. In the middle of the high-energy "Red City," stepping into Dar Dmana feels like someone turned the volume knob from a 10 down to a 2. It’s your literal guarantee of tranquility! 2. The "New City" Vibe Unlike the cramped, winding alleys of the ancient Medina, Residence Dar Dmana is often situated in the Gueliz district—known as the "Ville Nouvelle." This area was designed by the French in the 1900s, meaning you get wide boulevards, trendy sidewalk cafes, and high-end boutiques right at your doorstep. 3. A Masterclass in "Zellij" Fusion Even though the apartments are modern, they don't skimp on heritage. You’ll find a "fun-fusion" of interior design: sleek, minimalist kitchens paired with traditional Zellij (hand-cut geometric tiles) and Stucco carvings. It’s basically "Moroccan Chic" 101. 4.Your Own Private Oasis One of the biggest perks of these residences is the balcony culture. In Marrakech, the balcony is the "living room of the outdoors." Most Dar Dmana apartments feature terraces where you can enjoy your morning coffee while watching the city wake up, or catch a glimpse of the Koutoubia Mosque minaret in the distance. 5. The "10-Minute" Rule Staying at Residence Dar Dmana puts you in a logistical "sweet spot." You are usually: • 10 minutes from the Majorelle Garden (Yves Saint Laurent’s famous cobalt-blue retreat). • 10 minutes from the Marrakech-Menara Airport. • 10 minutes from the train station. It’s the ultimate "no-stress" home base for travelers who hate long commutes.
Jardin Majorelle
My #morocco itinerary It all started in #marrakech, a vibrant and colorful city. We strolled through the narrow streets of the old medina, admired the picturesque Majorelle Gardens and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, and visited the Bahia Palace and the ruins of the El Badi Palace. The city's atmosphere was captivating, with its history and architecture. Then began a three-day trip to the #sahara desert. Along the way, we stopped at the ancient #aitbenhadou ksar, a famous fortress built of clay and stone, which seemed to transport us back in time. The majestic Atlas Mountains with their snow-capped peaks were impressive in their beauty and scale. In the desert itself, we rode camels through the dunes, spent the night in a Berber camp, and admired the breathtaking starry skies. It was a complete immersion in the life and beauty of the desert. After a busy adventure, we spent a week at a surf camp on the Atlantic coast. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, I learned to catch waves. Surfing became not only an active vacation for me, but also a source of joy and new sensations. This trip left the warmest and most vivid memories: from the bustling markets of Marrakech and ancient fortresses to the tranquility of the desert and the energy of the ocean waves. I share more about this in my video blog on YouTube and VK: attention_attractor
Desert d’Agafay
The Agafay Desert in Morocco is a surreal escape into golden silence 🌵🌞 Unlike the classic Sahara, Agafay’s rocky dunes stretch endlessly under the sun, creating a dramatic, otherworldly landscape. Camel rides, desert camps, and star-filled nights make it a magical retreat from city life. The desert’s raw beauty, calm energy, and endless horizons invite reflection, adventure, and awe 🤍✨ #AgafayDesert #MoroccoVibes #DesertEscape #CamelRideMagic #StarlitNights #TravelMorocco #NatureAndAdventure #travelwithramonessa🌍
Koutoubia
#jejakdunia Every time I'm in the central area of Marrakech, I can't take my eyes off the Koutoubia Mosque. Its towering minaret feels like my personal compass as I explore the city. The most memorable experience is when dusk begins to fall and the call to prayer echoes from the top; the atmosphere suddenly transforms into a serene and serene atmosphere amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. I love taking leisurely strolls through the rose gardens surrounding this mosque. Seeing the 12th-century architecture with its distinctive stone arches truly amazes me with its steadfast preservation of history. Although the interior is strictly for Muslims, just being in the courtyard is enough to make me feel a powerful spiritual energy. This mosque is located right next to Jemaa el-Fnaa square. The best time to visit is around sunset, when the minaret lights up, making it truly beautiful. Be sure to dress modestly in the gardens to respect the sacredness of this place.
Badi Palace
#jejakdunia When I stepped into El Badi Palace in Marrakech, my imagination immediately drifted back to the 16th century, imagining the glory days of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur. Although the palace is now mostly a sprawling red-brick ruin, remnants of its grandeur are still palpable through its massive scale. I loved sitting quietly in the expansive central area, gazing out at the large pools once surrounded by gold and turquoise, while watching the storks build giant nests atop the old fortress walls. There's a magical sense of silence here, as if every crevice of the stone walls holds a secret story of past glory that they're eager to whisper to anyone willing to pause. The palace is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Visit in the morning before the sun gets too hot, as the central area is very open and offers little shade. Don't forget to climb to the upper terrace for a bird's-eye view of Marrakech!
