Mauritius Vacation Packages - Top Things to do in Mauritius

Souvenir Restaurant
Prices in cafes on the island of Mauritius are disappointing. The average meal costs 1,000 rubles, but the establishments themselves are generally more like basic cafes than restaurants. It's nice that the portions are large, but the price still isn't quite justified. While supermarket prices are quite low, it's unclear why cafes are so overpriced. #Mauritius
Le Palmiste Resorts & Spa
Dreaming of a heavenly vacation in Mauritius? Alas, Le Palmiste is a disappointment. Let's start with the cleanliness. The rooms are greeted by dust on the shelves, stains on the bed linens, and traces of previous guests in the bathroom. The floors look like they haven't been washed since opening, and the corners are littered with hair and sand. Housekeeping is mediocre: they'll make the bed, but the dirt remains. The pool is also disappointing—the water is cloudy, the edges are sticky. Now about the food. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are a complete disappointment. The vegetables are limp, the rice is overcooked, the meat is dry and tough. The local cuisine is marketed as "exotic," but in reality it's a tasteless mess with tons of oil and spices to hide its staleness. The fruit is often rotten. The coffee is instant from a large can, and the juices are from packets. After dinner, you're guaranteed to feel heavy and want to eat a proper meal somewhere else. Pros? A nice ocean view—but it doesn't clean the rooms or enhance the food. For the price (and it's not cheap here), you can find much better options. I don't recommend Le Palmiste. It's better to overpay for another hotel than ruin your vacation with dirt and bad taste. #Mauritius #LePalmiste
Siva Subramanya Kovil,Velamurugan Kalyana Mandapam (Kovil Montagne)
Sri Siva Subramanya Temple (also known simply as Mountain Temple or Kovil Montagne) in central Mauritius is the spot you need to check out! 🛕⛰️ This temple was built way back in 1907 for worshippers of Murugan, the mighty God of War. You’ll find it perched dramatically on the slopes of Corps de Garde Mountain, just outside Vacoas-Phoenix. The panoramic views from are mind-blowing! 🤩🌄 Sri Siva Subramanya Temple is famous for its vibrant Thaipoosam Cavadee Festival, which usually takes place in January or February. If you time your visit right, you’ll catch spiritual ceremonies, lively music, and traditional processions. Don’t sleep on April/May either—that’s when the Sittrai Cavadee celebration happens. During the festivals, expect crowds and a magical vibe that’s unforgettable. For a more quiet experience be sure to avoid such celebrations.
Le Morne
Today, we are introducing a country that might not be on many people's travel lists, but Thai citizens can visit without needing a visa. Mauritius 🇲🇺, located in the middle of the Indian Ocean, is part of the African continent. The name might not be familiar to many, but for some, it is a significant travel destination. Thai citizens can travel to this country without a prior visa. You can obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport free of charge. However, you will need a flight ticket showing your departure from the country, accommodation details, and contact information. Important to know: When checking in at your departure country, you may need to show a certain amount of cash as proof of entry into the country. For example, I had to show 15,000 THB in cash for a four-day, three-night stay. The main highlight of Mauritius is its unique ocean scenery. The most admired view is the aerial perspective of the sea at Le Morne Peninsula, where you can see the stunning colors of the ocean resembling an underwater waterfall. It’s an incredibly beautiful sight that’s hard to believe. I must say, the real view is even more breathtaking than the photos. However, you’ll need to take a small plane, seaplane, or helicopter to see it. Recommended places for a three-night, four-day trip: 1. Safari at Casela Park 2. Visit the capital city, Port Louis 3. Take a seaplane to see the underwater waterfall 4. Swim at Le Morne Beach 5. Experience a once-in-a-lifetime submarine ride at Blue Safari 6. Visit waterfalls There are plenty of attractions to explore within this short time frame. Make the most of your trip, and don’t forget to follow for detailed reviews of each location!
Le Morne
Mauritius is an absolute vibe—think crystal-clear water, endless skies, and beaches that are basically a mood board for your best life. From sunrise swims to golden sunsets, this island is the go-to for chasing the good stuff. First stop: Belle Mare Beach (East Coast, open 24/7) gives you those slow-motion sunrise feels. The sand stretches forever, and the water's this dreamy pastel blue—seriously, an early-morning swim here is a total mind-reset. Perfect for barefoot strolls before breakfast, too. Next up, slide over to Trou aux Biches (North Coast, public access all day) around noon. The lagoon is legendary - calm, glassy, and SO photogenic. I spent hours snorkeling right off the sand with colorful parrotfish, then grabbed fresh coconut water from a super friendly local. Honestly, you’ll never want to leave. Ready for the epic Insta moment? Le Morne Beach (Southwest, open daily) is like something out of a movie. The iconic mountain backdrop plus kite surfers doing their thing—this place just hits different with wild energy and views that are totally 🤯. As the day winds down, Flic en Flac Beach (West Coast, accessible all day) turns up the local vibes. Picture sega music on the breeze, beach bars buzzing with sunset cocktails, and a sky that goes from gold to neon in seconds. You haven’t seen a sunset until you’ve seen one here! Feeling extra adventurous? Hop a boat (find tours via trip.com) to Île aux Cerfs (East, open daily). We’re talking hammocks strung between palm trees, floating in shallow lagoons, and parasailing for a sky-high look at paradise. Major bucket list stuff. Whether you’re all about zen moments or wild adventures, Mauritius beaches bring the heat and the chill. Leave with salty skin, epic memories, and a million reasons to come back. 💙 #Mauritius #BeachVibes #TripMoments #IslandGetaway #TrouAuxBiches #BelleMare #LeMorne #FlicEnFlac #IleAuxCerfs #TropicalEscape
Marguery Villas - Conciergery & Resort
#springtravel Imagine an island where the mountains meet the ocean, where waterfalls hide in rainforests, and where the water changes color seven times in one place. That's Mauritius. This little gem in the Indian Ocean is pure magic. Think white sand beaches fringed by coral reefs, volcanic peaks wrapped in green, and sunsets that make you forget your own name. What you can't miss: 🌋 Le Morne Brabant. A UNESCO-listed mountain rising from the coast. Hike it for views that'll stop your heart . 🌈 Seven Coloured Earths. Yes, the sand really is red, purple, and blue all at once. Surreal and completely real . 🌊 Underwater waterfall. An optical illusion so insane, you have to see it from the air to believe it. 🐬 Dolphins in the wild. Take a boat at sunrise and watch them dance alongside you. 🌿 Black River Gorges. 50km of trails through misty forests, hidden waterfalls, and birds you won't find anywhere else . 🍛 The food. Creole curries, fresh tuna, dholl puri from street stalls — your taste buds will thank you. Best time to go: May to December — dry, sunny, and perfect for exploring . Pro tip: Rent a car. The island is small, the roads are good, and the freedom is everything. Mauritius isn't just a place you visit. It's a place that stays with you 🤍
