9/11 Memorial & Museum
One place I'd always wanted to visit on my solo trip to New York was the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Despite being in the middle of a bustling city, the atmosphere here was quietly tense, making me feel naturally more upright. Here are three reasons why I recommend it: ① The impressive presence of the Memorial Pool 💧 The large waterfall spreading across the site of the former Twin Towers is so powerful that it leaves you speechless. The sound of the water resonates deeply. ② Exhibits that convey records and memories 📖 The events and stories of the people from that time are meticulously displayed, making it more than just informational; it prompts deep reflection. ③ A unique experience only possible when visiting alone 🕊️ It's a place where you can quietly reflect on yourself, and there are things you can only experience when traveling alone. Access is easy, located in southern Manhattan and easily accessible by subway 🚇 There are many things to see inside, so it's recommended to visit with plenty of time to spare. If you want to explore at a leisurely pace, the morning is the best time to go. ⏰ Rather than a typical tourist spot, it's more of a place to "touch your memories." 🕊️ I had a truly special and memorable experience. #MustSeeSpot #America #NewYork
Madison Square Garden
Quick NYC adventure alert! 🚕 Touched down in the city that never sleeps mainly to catch Charlie Puth’s Whatever's Clever World Tour at the iconic Madison Square Garden, but also got those city-girl-in-the-skyscraper vibes with some extra urban exploring. The coolest part? That rush you get selfie-ing in front of NYC’s glassy towers—sun or rain, this city is The Look. Here’s the rundown: Must-See: Madison Square Garden (4 Pennsylvania Plaza, NY 10001) – All the energy, all the lights. If you ever get the chance to catch a show here—do it! Doors open about 60–90 minutes early, so get snacks and merch before the crowds hit. Pro tips: Room amenities matter—double-check if your place has charging outlets by the bed and reliable WiFi (trust me, after a night dancing to “Attention,” you want to post those pics comfortably!). NYC weather is drama: sunny then instantly cloudy and rainy, even in spring. Always pack a compact umbrella and layer your clothes for ultimate selfie readiness. Surrounded by some of the world’s best modern architecture, get out early for dreamy natural light if you want killer selfies (glass curtain walls look best with a little morning sun). Getting Around: Hop on the subway—4/5/6 lines get you to Penn Station (right by MSG) in minutes. Download an MTA map to your phone for easy, offline transit. Eats: Grab a classic slice at NY Pizza Suprema (413 8th Ave) just steps from MSG, or hit a bodega for a bagel and coffee if you’re dashing from spot to spot. #NewYorkNights #CitySelfie #CharliePuthLive #ModernArchitecture #ConcertVibes
5th Avenue
Walking along Fifth Avenue is an absolute NYC main character moment—seriously, it’s like you’re on a movie set where every block has its own unique energy! 🎬✨ The shops, the people-watching, the buzz… it’s all part of that iconic 5th Avenue vibe. Drop by St. Patrick’s Cathedral (5th Ave between 50th & 51st St, open daily 6:30am–8:45pm) for a complete mood switch. This place is a total gem—its Gothic spires are absolutely jaw-dropping, and stepping inside feels like hitting pause on city chaos. The peaceful atmosphere and stained-glass windows? Pure magic. ⛪️💫 Then you look up and—bam! There’s the Empire State Building (350 5th Ave, open every day 10am–10pm), one of the most legendary skyscrapers in the world. Standing beneath it, you can’t help but feel small… but honestly, soooo inspired by all the city ambition stretching into the clouds. 🌆🚀 5th Avenue is the ultimate cocktail of luxe shopping, rich history, and big-city sparkle. Take your time, snap a million pics, and soak in all the hustle—this is classic New York, and it seriously never gets old. 🗽🥰 #5thavenue #newyork #travel2026

The March to May spring and September to November autumn are warm, cozy, and good for being outdoors. Bringing along a light jacket is advisable due to the huge morning and night temperature difference. July to August are relatively warmer, and the beaches are particularly popular; do bring along something to prevent the burns. Come winter in November to March, the weather would be noticeably colder and snowstorms or blizzards are frequent, and therefore outdoors activities are inadvisable. The December climate is really cold and it is strongly suggested that you bring along winter clothing.
