A delightful surprise on the return journey: A serene old church On our way back from exploring Nottingham city, we stumbled upon an old church (Old Parish Church). Nestled quietly in the greenery, this church boasts exquisite Gothic square towers and an antique clock. Unlike the solemnity of the castle, the church exuded a profound tranquility. The red brick base and the weathered stone above told the story of this land's daily life over centuries. We walked quietly along the iron fence outside the church, watching the sunset cast its glow on the ancient stone walls. This serenity provided a gentle ending to our exhilarating adventure.
