Phuket
Thailand's 🇹🇭 signature landmark is the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) in Chiang Rai. But now, you can find a fantastic alternative right here in Phuket. In December 2025, the Wat Kanan White Temple opened its doors🛕 It's just a quick 40-50 minute drive to get there. While you're there, you can rent a traditional Thai costume to match any taste and color for 150-250 baht and snap some authentic photos. We skipped dressing up this time because the pre-New Year crowds were huge and locals were celebrating their own holidays. There's a pond around the temple where turtles and massive fish swim. You can feed the fish—food costs just 10 baht. This gorgeous spot is absolutely worth a visit🤍

Patong Elephant Care
Deep in the Phuket jungle, you'll find a breathtaking elephant sanctuary 🐘. For just 1,000 THB, you can not only pet these gentle giants but also feed them to your heart's content. While you do, the sanctuary staff will snap hundreds of gorgeous photos and videos for you to cherish forever 🫶. I visited in June during the off-season, and it was the best decision ever since I had the whole place to myself. It probably gets super crowded during peak season. I can't recommend this spot enough! Right behind the elephants, there's a gorgeous ocean view that makes for an epic photo op. 📍99 2, Pa Tong, Kathu District, Phuket 83150, Thailand🐘

Tri Trang Beach
If you're visiting Phuket in the off-season and want a wave-free sea, here are two beaches that really saved us 🌊 1️⃣ Ao Yon Beach — our absolute favorite. It's about a 40-minute drive from Karon, but it's totally worth it. The sea is super calm, with no waves, and the water is crystal clear, making it great for swimming even when the west coast beaches are stormy. It's best to get there in the morning and spend the whole day. We had lunch at Noi's Happy Place right on the beach — the prices are reasonable: Pad Thai – 190 THB, Chicken Satay – 180 THB, Watermelon Shake – 100 THB. There is also a shower available if needed (in the restroom), but I'll warn you now, don't expect anything fancy. Unfortunately, there are no sun loungers on the beach, but if that's a dealbreaker, you might want to check out the beach club located on the same beach. If it's a clear day, I highly recommend sticking around for sunset. You can also rent paddleboards on the beach and enjoy the calm water on them😉 (Photos from the beach 1-3) 2️⃣ Tri Trang Beach — about 15 minutes from Karon and very close to Patong. It also has calm waters and very few waves. ❗️ When heading to this beach, make sure to check the tide chart. If you go during low tide, swimming will be pretty much impossible; the bottom gets very rocky, and you'll have to walk all the way out to the buoy line (scraping up your legs along the way). During high tide, however, swimming is really comfortable. We always used The HideOut Area as our drop-off and pick-up point because it's super convenient for ordering a taxi (you definitely won't end up at a dead end with a long walk to the beach, and you won't have trouble finding your driver when leaving). This area also has a cafe, a massage parlor, sun loungers, restrooms, and showers. Of course, if you don't want to hang out in this exact spot, you can just walk further down the beach and find a spot that suits you better. (Photos from the beach 4-7) ✅ For the low season, these are by far the best beaches we've found in Phuket, though if I had to pick just one, I'd definitely go with Ao Yon Beach. Keep in mind, though, if you're staying in the popular tourist hubs, it'll be quite a drive. You could also look into booking a hotel near these beaches, but pay close attention to the surrounding infrastructure😉 Make sure you're okay with being further away from supermarkets, restaurants, and other amenities. land
Club Med Phuket
When planning a family holiday in Thailand, choosing the right hotel can be just as important as choosing the destination itself And while Phuket is home to hundreds of resorts, few have earned such a strong reputation among families as Club Med Phuket Located just steps from Kata Beach, the resort enjoys one of the island’s most family friendly settings. A wide stretch of soft sand, a gentle entrance into the sea, and a relaxed atmosphere make it particularly appealing for those traveling with younger children What truly sets the resort apart, however, is its approach to family holidays Rather than treating children’s activities as an optional extra, Club Med has built the entire experience around them. Sports programmes, creative workshops, games, and supervised activities are all designed to keep younger guests entertained throughout the day This means parents can actually enjoy their holiday as well Whether that involves relaxing by the pool, joining a fitness class, enjoying a leisurely lunch, or simply spending a quiet afternoon surrounded by tropical gardens, the resort creates space for every member of the family to enjoy their own version of the perfect holiday The grounds themselves deserve special mention Towering palms, lush landscaping, and spacious walkways create the feeling of a secluded tropical retreat, despite being within easy reach of Kata’s restaurants, cafés, and local shops It is this balance that makes Club Med Phuket so appealing The convenience of a well established beach destination combined with the comfort of a resort where virtually everything has already been thoughtfully planned For families seeking a holiday that feels effortless from the moment they arrive, Club Med Phuket continues to be one of Thailand’s most compelling choices #phuket #thailand #clubmed

Phuket has a tropical monsoon climate, so it is hot and humid year-round. But if you like the heat, the island is an ideal vacation spot no matter the season. The most pleasant months to visit are from November to March when the heat and humidity are manageable. The monsoon season occurs from May to October, so expect higher rainfall and humidity levels. During this time swimming on the west coast of the island is not recommended. April to May are typically the hottest months when the temperature often reaches 36 C (80 F to 95 F). February is the driest month, while the coldest is in December.Depending on what you want to do on your holiday, there is a perfect season for you in Phuket. The peak tourist season and the best time for sun and beach are from November to March. Late December and January are another peak time, so expect the highest prices for hotels and airfares. November through April have the best conditions and visibility for diving and snorkeling. The off-peak seasons are between June-July and September-October which happen to be the monsoon season. But if you don’t mind the weather, this is a great time for low crowds and good deals.
