This is the most unusual buffet I've ever encountered! Meat, seafood—and you grill it all yourself on a grill built right into the table. Meanwhile, the food moves around you on a conveyor belt—you simply choose what you like and put it straight on the grill. This restaurant is called "Chicken Rack" and is located in Sanya, China, on the fifth floor of the Harman Hotel. It operates on the all-you-can-eat buffet principle: you can order as much meat, seafood, and vegetables as you want, choose your own doneness, and return for more without a time limit. But they don't limit themselves to just the grill. They also offer prepared dishes, side dishes, fruit, noodles, a huge selection of sauces, ice cream, and even the famous Hainanese dessert, qingbulang, which you can create yourself. Drinks are also unlimited. This all-you-can-eat buffet costs 168 yuan per person. Children under 8 eat free, and those aged 9 to 14 eat half price. The reality is quite different. The complex is now partly abandoned, and the surrounding area is not well maintained. It was an ambitious project that, unfortunately, didn’t work out. There are also rumors that the entire complex may be demolished soon, so if you want to see it, now might be the time. Despite its current condition, the architecture still looks genuinely impressive and makes you wonder what this place was like when it was fully operating. It's filled with crab, shrimp, chicken feet, vegetables, and other ingredients, all cooked in a rich, aromatic sauce. It's very juicy, unusual, and completely different from your typical restaurant experience.
