Odori Park
I visited Sapporo in Hokkaido during winter! The snow-covered streets already gave off the perfect travel vibe, and the entire city had a wintery charm that made simply walking around so enjoyable❣️ Odori Park and downtown Sapporo were especially beautiful at night, and the snowy night scenery is still vivid in my memory😳 The food was overall satisfying, and I truly felt that Sapporo was an excellent choice for a winter destination🫧 It was an overall very satisfying trip! Make sure to visit Sapporo in winter❣️ 📍Sapporo, Japan
Jozankei Gensen Park
With the weather dropping below freezing these days, I found myself revisiting the photo album from my trip to Sapporo last July. I stayed at 'Yurakusoan' in Jozankei Onsen Village, and it was truly the ultimate healing experience. ♨️ The moment I opened the door to my room, the gentle aroma of hinoki (Japanese cypress) filled the air, instantly calming my mind. The highlight was definitely the private natural hot spring bath in each room! I opened the window wide, enjoyed a half-body soak while gazing at the forest view, and the combination of fresh air and warm water was simply indescribable. After sweating it out in the steamy bath, my skin felt as smooth as if I'd just had a spa treatment, and my complexion looked so much healthier. 😢 In addition to the public bath, there are four private baths available for free, which made choosing one a fun experience. Locking the door and having the entire bath to myself meant I could splash around, take photos freely, and fully enjoy my personal time—it was pure bliss. I dressed up in a yukata and strolled through the Jozankei forest trail. The lush green scenery of July was picturesque, but I can't even imagine how magical the snowy winter landscape would be right now. Isn't soaking in an open-air bath while admiring a snowy view the ultimate ryokan dream? Imagining the contrast of cold winter air and warm hot spring water... It's something everyone dreams of at least once, right? While the refreshing memories of summer were wonderful, I definitely want to return on a snowy day next time to enjoy the hot spring with a snowy view. If you're considering a ryokan in Sapporo, Yurakusoan is a choice you won't regret. 👋
Sapporo Stellar Place
📍Nemuro Hanamaru I had the chance to try the renowned conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Sapporo, located in Stella Place next to JR Sapporo Station. Head up to the 6th floor food zone, check in with the staff to get your queue number, and you can scan the QR code provided to track your queue while you explore the area. The sushi options include grabbing plates directly from the conveyor belt or ordering specific items from the staff. Occasionally, special menu items are introduced in rounds, and you can simply raise your hand to notify the staff if you'd like to try them. Note that this restaurant does not provide separate wasabi; instead, the wasabi is already mixed into the sushi rice. For drinks, green tea powder is available, and other beverages can be ordered separately. The pricing is based on the color of the plates. If you're in the area, give it a try!
