The Stockholm Palace (Stockholms slott), also known as the Royal Palace (Kungliga slottet), is located in Stockholm's Old Town, with an admission fee of 240 SEK. This palace was originally the official residence of the Swedish monarch. However, since the current King and Queen moved to another palace after their wedding, it now serves as the King's workplace and a venue for official state celebrations. The exterior of the palace is incredibly magnificent, showcasing a stunning Nordic Baroque style. With over 600 rooms, it is one of the largest palaces in Europe. Similar to most European palaces and fortresses, the tour follows a one-way route. Since I only had about an hour to spare, I focused on exploring a few main highlights, such as the Royal Treasury, the Palace Museum, and the Reception Rooms. My personal favorite was the Royal Treasury. The royal artifacts exude a solemn and noble aura, with many items adorned in a highly elegant Royal Blue. Coincidentally, this year marks the 60th anniversary (Golden Jubilee) of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. One of the halls displays their wedding attire and memorabilia from that year, which is definitely worth a visit. Along the way, you'll also come across numerous historical oil paintings, tapestries, and marble sculptures that you absolutely shouldn't miss. I highly recommend buying a ticket to head inside and take your time to appreciate the grandeur. After finishing the indoor tour, you can catch the changing of the guard ceremony in the open-air area by the exit, or snap some photos with the royal guards, which is also a very popular activity.

I visited the Nobel Prize Museum, located right on Stortorget (the Grand Square) in Gamla Stan, Stockholm's beautiful Old Town! Housed in a charming renovated 18th-century stock exchange building, the museum offers fascinating, easy-to-understand exhibits on the history of the Nobel Prize since 1901 and the incredible achievements of past laureates who have changed the world. 🔬✨ The kinetic portrait panels of laureates gliding along a track on the ceiling and the collection of rare, personal artifacts donated by them are an absolute must-see. There's also an area dedicated to Japanese laureates, which makes me feel incredibly proud as a fellow Japanese. Another thing you absolutely can't miss here is the museum's café, Bistro Nobel! A little secret: on the bottom of the café chairs, you'll find the actual autographs of past Nobel Prize winners. The thrill of checking underneath your own seat is a unique perk you'll only experience here. ☕️ You can even treat yourself to the famous "Nobel Ice Cream," the very same dessert served at the Nobel Banquet, making it a highly recommended spot to take a relaxing break while sightseeing.

Interactive and loaded with fun props—sing, dance, and live out your inner disco dream.
