Tromsdalen
I heard that 2026 is a great year for auroras, so I went on a Nordic tour for aurora hunting 😊💓 The most amazing aurora I saw was in Tromsø, Norway! Aurora TIPS 🏷️━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ・If possible, plan your trip around the new moon. The aurora is more visible without the interference of moonlight! ・Joining a tour is recommended. Many tours offer warm bus interiors, campfires with snacks, roasted marshmallows, and hot chocolate. Tromsø tours have a culture of "aurora chasing," where they move locations until the aurora is visible. ・Affordable tours are perfectly fine. As long as the reviews are good, you’re good to go. Personally, I recommend tours that take photos for you. ・I didn’t feel particularly cold even when outside for long periods. I never had to wait outside for the aurora to appear. Tours keep moving by bus until it’s visible, and even on your own, you can just step outside and see it ◎ ・Your fingers might get cold while taking photos, so having hand warmers is reassuring.
Fjellheisen
If you’re dreaming of snow-covered landscapes, cozy vibes, and dancing green skies, Tromsø is the place. #winterescape Day 1 – Walk It Like a Local Tromsø is best explored on foot. Wander through colorful streets, soak in the Arctic atmosphere, and stroll along the lively harbor. Don’t miss a stop at Raketten Bar & Pølse, the city’s oldest hot dog stand: small, iconic, delicious. Day 2 – Views from Above Hop on the Fjellheisen and ride up to Storsteinen. The panoramic view over the island, fjords, and snowy peaks!?Absolutely unreal. Day 3 – Chase the Aurora Tromsø is one of the world’s best spots to see the Northern Lights. Watching the aurora dance across the Arctic sky is pure magic. Day 4 – Slow Arctic Living Coffee, harbor views, and that crisp Arctic air. Tromsø is meant to be savored slowly. For the perfect stay, I recommend TotalApartments - Skansegata 9: central, cozy, and ideal for exploring everything on foot. Tromsø isn’t just a trip. It’s a feeling. #travel2026 #arctic #scandinavia #tromso
Tromso
#OverseasTravelTips I thought it was just a place to go to see the aurora borealis, but the city itself is so charming...! 😳❤️ Tromsø, the largest city in the Arctic Circle, is known as the "Paris of the North" 🏙️ It has the world's northernmost comprehensive university and is full of young people, making it very lively compared to other cities in northern Norway. With plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops, you can easily spend a whole day just walking around the city 🥺 ⚠️ Warm clothing is essential! ⚠️ There are no direct flights from Japan to Tromsø; you will need to transfer at least twice. ⚠️ Prices in Norway are very high. Be prepared to spend €20-€40 per meal when eating out 💳 Spot Information━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📍 Tromsø 🗺 Address: Tromsø, Troms og Finnmark, Norway (Located on Tromsdalen Island) 🚗 Access: [From Japan] Narita/Haneda → Copenhagen or Frankfurt (direct) → Transfer in Oslo → Tromsø Airport (TOS) / Approximately 18-24 hours including transfer [Airport → City] Public bus (approx. 10-15 minutes, approx. 30 NOK~) / Taxi (approx. 10 minutes, approx. 250-350 NOK) #Tromsø #EuropeTravel #Norway

Santa Claus Village
Round-trip airfare, accommodation, itinerary, and local delicacies all for 90,000 RMB. The entire trip relied on public transportation; no private car was used. Norway: Tromsø (fjords, hiking, aurora chasing); Kilpisjarvi (snowmobiling, aurora watching); Rovaniemi (Santa Claus Village, husky sledding, another aurora chase); Kemi (icebreaker cruise); Helsinki (tourist attractions); Porvoo (chocolate and a great value buffet); Tallinn (Estonia); plus short trips to Singapore and Japan during layovers. We visited many places! #Aurora #Nordic
Arctic Cathedral
One day we decided to fulfill our dream - to see aurora. We booked our flights from Gdansk to Tromsø - Friday to Sunday. We landed somewhere at 7pm You can book a taxi driver in application Taxifix in advance if you want - even for larger groups But uber works perfectly as well We stayed in object named Cozy and central among locals 6 Kohtvegen, 9006 Tromsø, Norwegia Managed by private norway guy. Booking was perfect for 6 people - not super expensive, and offer everything - kitchen, heat and warm water We were extremely lucky to see aurora in our first day - it was visible in the sky of Tromsø. We also were in city center and eat reindeer burger In second day - Saturday - we had 2 main plan points. Polaria museum and aurora chasing (organized by northern light safari Tromsø - Vestregata 42, 9008 Tromsø) Polaria was amazing - I recommend everyone. They do seal trainings and feeding at specific hours and it was amazing to see. They also have big aquarium to see specific polar animal species. After Polaria we go to eat something small, and visited magic ice bar. Magic ice bar is not the best for its price, it’s small and drinks are not mixed fresh, but at the end it’s some of experience. Before our main aurora chasing trip - we also visited troll museum. Wow! Norway culture is full of trolls. And now the food. I recommend booking table in advance. We didn’t do that and we ended up in Mc Donald (which btw is the most north Mc Donald!) But we only ate smth small and finally one of my collegues said that Asian place is open. And it was very good! Our aurora safari started near 5pm We entered bigger bus and left to chase aurora with very good guide We drive for something like 2 hours near Finland to have clear sky, and guide did the fireplace and offered some hot drinks and cookies It was amazing. Norway in winter and during night is absolutely beautiful And we saw aurora. Not that powerful as day before, but when observing with camera it was amazing. This trip took us like 7 hours and we came back in the midnight. But I will remember this time forever. Next day we planned to take a river cable, but was very very snowy. Therefore we wanted to experience this snow storm, and we walked on the bridge to see arctic cathedral. Nearby was some cozy cafeteria - stunning to see and just sit down during storm. Tromsø is amazing. Worth any penny. #winterescape #travel #tromso #travel
