Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom
Spending the weekend at Zhuhai Chimelong, I embarked on a 2-day, 1-night trip accompanied by the Ocean Kingdom, Chimelong Show, and the Penguin Hotel. A 2-Day, 1-Night Experience at Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom Spending the weekend at Zhuhai Chimelong, I embarked on a 2-day, 1-night journey featuring the Ocean Kingdom, Chimelong Show, and the Penguin Hotel. The entire trip immersed me in a marine fairytale and a joyful atmosphere. It was relaxing and healing, leaving me with unforgettable memories. Stepping into the Ocean Kingdom on the first day, the giant manta ray arch and the majestic whale shark statue instantly set the mood. Surrounded by blue-and-white marine elements, it felt like diving into the deep sea in a second. The most popular spot in the park is the Whale Shark Aquarium. Through the massive viewing window, gigantic whale sharks glide gracefully while schools of tropical fish dart around. Standing there quietly watching, my inner restlessness calmed down with the blue water; every snapshot was breathtaking. In the Penguin Habitat, the adorable penguins waddled around and then dove nimbly into the water. Their charming clumsiness made it hard to leave. The various animal exhibits and amusement rides are reasonably laid out, allowing for a relaxed pace. You can get up close with marine life and have fun without feeling the exhaustion of rushing around. The Chimelong Show in the evening was absolutely spectacular. The program blends acrobatics, dance, light, shadow, and water performances, creating a highly striking stage effect. The high-altitude stunts were thrilling and smooth. Coupled with dazzling lights, dynamic music, splashing water, and bursting fireworks, it packed a massive visual punch. The show was full of climaxes, keeping both adults and children completely engaged. The continuous applause marked a fantastic end to the day's adventure. Checking into the Penguin Hotel that night, the immersive thematic style was eye-catching. From the giant penguin statue and ice-field decor in the lobby to the various penguin ornaments in the guest rooms, every detail was cleverly designed, making it feel like staying in an Antarctic fairytale kingdom. The hotel has comprehensive facilities and diverse dining options. Being extremely close to the park saved us from commuting back and forth, making travel exceptionally convenient and perfectly balancing rest and play. The next day, I took a leisurely stroll around the park, checking off the spots I had missed earlier, experiencing the distinct vibes between day and night, and fully enjoying the laid-back time. The pacing of the 2-day, 1-night itinerary was just right. I took in the healing scenery of the Ocean Kingdom, the breathtaking performance of the Chimelong Show, and the cozy atmosphere of the Penguin Hotel. This place is not only a fantastic destination for family trips but also a great spot for adults to relax and rediscover their childhood joy. The park's services were thoughtful, and the overall experience was excellent. The short trip was fully loaded with joy and surprises. It was an ocean journey that lived up to all expectations, leaving me wanting more and already planning my next visit.
Ocean Street (in the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom)
🐋🇨🇳 Our original plan was actually Macau, but we decided to stop in Zhuhai for Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, and it unexpectedly became one of the highlights of our entire China trip. This place is HUGE. From massive aquariums and underwater tunnels to interactive animal shows, roller coasters, colorful parades, and one of the best night performances we’ve seen in China, the park genuinely feels like a full day experience from morning until late night. One thing we loved is that the park never felt boring because something new was always happening every few hours. The daytime parades were surprisingly beautiful and energetic. Giant whale floats, ocean themed performers, music, dancing, colorful costumes, and interactive moments with visitors made the whole atmosphere feel alive and exciting. The aquarium section completely blew us away. Seeing whale sharks, manta rays, jellyfish, beluga whales, and enormous underwater viewing areas in real life felt surreal. The whale shark aquarium especially was one of the most breathtaking aquariums we’ve visited in Asia. Photos honestly cannot capture how massive it looks in person. The beluga whale and sea lion performances were also incredibly fun and interactive. Even adults around us were fully engaged, recording videos, cheering, and smiling the entire time. Another thing we didn’t expect was how photogenic the entire park is. Almost every corner looked cinematic, especially once the lights turned on at night. And honestly, don’t only come for the final fireworks show. The parade shows during the day are part of the experience too and absolutely worth watching. Some performances genuinely felt like mini Disney style productions mixed with ocean themes and Chinese creativity. Food inside the park was also much better than expected. After walking around all day, a hot bowl of beef pho somehow tasted unbelievably comforting and satisfying after hours of exploring the park. 🍜✨ Then nighttime arrived, and the atmosphere completely transformed. The giant whale shark lit up with projection effects, lasers filled the sky, drones created shapes above the lagoon, fireworks exploded across the water, and flyboard performers were literally flying over the lake during the show. It genuinely felt magical. We spent almost the entire day here from around 10 AM until after the final evening show at 8 PM, and somehow it still felt like there were things we didn’t fully finish. We also ended up taking more than 300 photos and videos because almost every area looked beautiful both during the day and at night. If you are visiting Macau, I honestly think stopping by Zhuhai for Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is 100% worth it, even if you normally don’t visit theme parks. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys immersive experiences, aquariums, photography, performances, and full day attractions while traveling in China. 🌊✨🐋🎆 #zhuhai #chinatravel #tripmoments #oceankingdom #macau #chinatrip #aquarium #themepark #china #couplestrip #thingstodo #resorts #china #travel
Boruibay Haiyin Hotel Apartment (Huafa Mall Beishan)
I stayed at this hotel once before, and it left a lasting impression on me. I absolutely love that this hotel has outdoor balconies. This time, they gave me a room with a mountain-view balcony, which was both relaxing and private. The bed was spotless and super comfortable. My favorite part was the lounge chair—lying there watching TV was pure bliss. Unfortunately, I got my clothes dirty on this trip. Luckily, the room came with a washer-dryer combo that was quiet, easy to use, and incredibly convenient. I booked the hotel breakfast. It was simple, tasty, and really filling, right up my alley! The sticky rice shumai was especially delicious. Compared to eating out, the value for money here is truly unbeatable. The weather was insanely hot these past few days, but the AC in the room was blasting. The bed was so cozy that I slept like a baby—so much so that I missed my prepaid breakfast on the second day, which was a bit of a bummer. The hotel was so comfortable that I was really reluctant to leave at checkout. Next time I visit Zhuhai, I definitely want to stay here again.

It's an amazing place for photos, and your parents will definitely feel the nostalgia if you bring them along!~ 🌟 Highly Recommended for a Nostalgic Culinary Journey in Zhuhai When visiting Zhuhai, besides the must-see Seaside Promenade and the New Yuan Ming Palace, true foodies shouldn't miss this popular local spot: Zhuroupo Private Kitchen! Push open the doors, and you'll be greeted by walls adorned with vintage photos, old-fashioned decor, and classic floral floor tiles. Every detail is carefully curated to capture the authentic nostalgia of Guangdong. The staff is super friendly, making it a great spot for gathering with friends or family. It's a very well-known restaurant, too. 🍽️ Signature Dishes You Can't Miss You absolutely have to try their signature roast goose—crispy skin, tender meat, and the perfect fat-to-lean ratio. The honey-glazed BBQ pork (Char Siu) is sliced to order and packed with flavor. The Maggi pan-fried giant freshwater prawns are crispy on the outside, while the meat is incredibly fresh and bouncy—a huge must-order! The "Lo Hei" (Prosperity Toss) raw fish salad is vibrant and packed with layered textures, making it highly photogenic and healthy. A bowl of their sweet and stomach-warming ginkgo and pork stomach soup is a true representation of classic Cantonese soups.
