This time, we took our kids on a trip to Chimelong in Zhuhai, staying at the Spaceship Hotel and visiting Ocean Kingdom. Before departure, I had relatively modest expectations for this trip, assuming it would be a family-friendly paradise. But upon arrival, I realized it was truly a place designed for both children and parents. Both the hotel and the park were meticulously thought out and thoughtfully designed. As soon as we entered the lobby of the Spaceship Hotel, the kids couldn't stop joking. The entire lobby had a futuristic, ocean-themed feel. The ceiling resembled a large capsule, and the walls featured ocean-themed decorations in soothing colors. I was actually a bit surprised, too, because it wasn't a cheesy theme; it had a real touch of quality. We booked a family room, and the moment we opened the door, we were truly wowed. The room was even more beautiful than in the photos. The carpet was a wavy ocean-like pattern in a cacophony of blue, green, and yellow. It was so soft and comfortable, the kids started crawling around on it, and I felt like this carpet was truly made for kids. The room's biggest draw was the slide. Without a second's hesitation, the kids kicked off their shoes and started sliding, their laughter unstoppable. The children's beds were shaped like submarines, with small round windows on the side. They even said they were going on pretend missions in there, exploring the deep sea to catch mysterious sea monsters. I almost burst out laughing, but I also thought it was amazing how this kind of scene could spark a child's imagination. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room looked out over the entire park and the mountains, with the ocean in the distance. Standing by the window, I suddenly felt that this kind of scenery and space truly made one forget the daily stresses of life. After unpacking, we went to the hotel's rooftop infinity pool. It was truly beautiful, with the water merging into a seamless line with the sky, the mountains to the side, and the park buildings below. The children, wearing buoyancy vests, kicked around in the water, while the adults leaned against the edge, soaking in the water, watching the clouds, the people, and the children playing. Just watching, I felt relaxed. The next morning, we arrived at Ocean Kingdom early. Near the entrance, we saw characters interacting with the children. The colors were bright and the children were so happy that we took lots of photos. We then went to the Ocean Theater to see a mermaid show. I need to mention this in particular, because the kids kept asking, "Are mermaids real?" Seeing it live, I was truly swept up in the atmosphere. The show took place in a massive aquarium. The mermaid characters were real performers wearing mermaid tails, swimming and flipping gracefully in the water. The moment she got it, she felt like she had the whole world. She danced while eating, her lips curled up. At that moment, I had another clear impression: children's happiness is truly simple, while adult happiness comes from watching children smile. Later, we went to the manatee aquarium. The manatees were enormous, yet they swam so gently. The children stared at them for a long time, glued to the glass. I stood back, watching the two children's quiet backs. Suddenly, I realized that the meaning of travel isn't about seeing so many things, but about slowing down. Back at the hotel, the children's first thing to do was go down the slide. Although we were exhausted, watching them play and laughing, my partner and I sat on chairs nearby, doing nothing, and felt that this was the moment in life we'd always wanted.
