We went to Nixe Palace in January and had a wonderful stay. The hotel was super quiet considering it was the low season so we had such a nice time resting, reading books and enjoying the view. The hotel kindly upgraded our room and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. The room was great (although we couldnt turn on the A/C for cold and it got a bit hot during the night) and the breakfast was wonderful. Its not in the centre of Palma because it is in Cala Major but you can either take a 20-30min bus ride or a 10-15 min cab. Would definitely recommend this.

We booked a room with garden and sea view so for 3 nights it came to about £470 ish.... we arrived to a pleasant lady on reception, she gave us a drink on arrival to get ourselves from the bar, was a nice gesture. We got to our room which was clean and well presented, but it was very small. Regardless, the TV and Balcony were good and the bed was comfortable and not split like so many other twin/double rooms in Spain which is why we booked this hotel. We had breakfasts on the 3 mornings, for a 4 star, despite the produce being pretty fresh, I have seen better spreads in like for like hotels... I’m unsure if it’s due to covid but it seemed a bit limited for something of this price range. If I knew this, we probably would not have bothered with the breakfast included option. Around the pool was clean and tidy, was good although there didn’t seem to be enough sun beds, the hotel wasn’t to full capacity and there seemed like there was only just about sufficient.... but for us, at this time everything was ok. The poolside food and drinks took time to serve, but were freshly prepared and tasty with decent portion sizes too, very nice. Could be improved by offering table service to the sun beds, thought this was a bit lack lustre as would make a huge difference to the overall experience. Apparently you need to pay extra for the spa, which I think is a bit naughty for a hotel in this price range and status of offerings. We didn’t use it and hadn’t planned to anyway, but I can see how this would be less than favourable to other paying customers perhaps. The location is a great location, although it’s not directly on the front by the boats, the view of the harbour was apparent from our 9th floor room and it is literally a 5-7 minute walk down to the boat side area with restaurants and bars. The staff, most were unfriendly (although not all), most were a bit pushy and serious. Although the chefs were friendly at breakfast. I even tipped the bar man to see if he would soften, and he did a bit, either way, we thought that 3 knocks on our door on the hour up to check out was uncalled for. At first the chamber maid walked in on me on the toilet, she was apologetic but then went on to knock a further 2 times, checkout is not until 12, so to be doing this from 10.45 all the way up until midday is just not cricket. Upon checkout, the lady was rude and unfriendly. If it wasn’t for this, I’d say go and stay here, but because of this, it does taint the overall experience, I’m quite sure there are places with friendlier staff all round. The staff let this place down unfortunately. Despite all the above, the hotel was very clean and all spaces were well kept. Wherever you choose to stay, get a scooter and explore the island. Majorca is stunning - enjoy x

I used to stay in Melia hotels before and I like their style and approach. The lobby is nice, very good smell, i was checked-in by a very nice, friendly lady. The room was with a sea view, standard type, but quite spacious, with balcony. The bathroom, however, is very small and tiny, but nothing you can do about it. Everything you need is there, apart from iron and iron board (upon request). Those items could be added to the room, in my opinion. There was a housekeeping minor issue upon arrival but was addressed directly in the hotel. Very good breakfasts. With a variety of local dishes. The hotel is recommended.

It’s a pity about some of the guests! My first trip following the lifting of some of the confinement regulations in Spain, naturally I was concerned but on arrival at the Catalonia I couldn’t have been made to feel my health and safety was more important that their own Mothers. Hand sanitiser everywhere, staff all keeping social distancing regulations, cleanliness has always been good, now they’ve risen that even higher in the public areas. Reception spotless (I miss the sweeties) bins to dispose of your masks and gloves when they need changing, housekeeping very visible cleaning and sanitising continuously. I love the welcome from the hotel staff obviously they are surviving on a much reduced number of staff so some things are taking a bit longer and the food sadly isn’t up to it’s normal standard because the kitchen is closed and they are having to rely on processed and prepackaged menus. They’re doing their best with providing a service at breakfast and the waiting and bar staff are cooking simple breakfast things to order. It was in the breakfast restaurant I really wished some of the human race realised the masks are mandatory in Spain! Too many guests ignoring some simple instructions stating to not go near any of the food areas or preparation areas without a mask! How difficult is that instruction? Well it seems too difficult for some of the morons to follow, I also witnessed a horrific verbal attack on one of the reception staff when someone didn’t make a simple phone call. I stood up for the staff & hotel basically if you don’t read the terms and conditions about booking expect to pay if you fail to turn up. The room was there ready for you it’s your fault not theirs you didn’t bother to appear! It’s standard in ALL hotels around the world to my knowledge and experience. Here on trip advisor there have been some basically evil reviews over the past few weeks, please don’t be swayed by them because some are really out of order especially regarding food at this moment in time. I raised an issue with a waiter regarding a salad and it was changed immediately (the lettuce was more than a little tired) they couldn’t have been nicer and more apologetic, the replacement salad was lovely. Yes the bar menu does say gourmet so maybe at the moment they should say ‘almost gourmet menu’ but it’s the whole pandemic situation causing these issues. You need to remember that this hotel allows you to order or go and get a takeaway and eat it both in your room or in the bar, not something many hotels allow anywhere in the world. I came across a couple of small little niggles but they were sorted immediately, the best thing I loved was being able to book the indoor pool for an allotted time; for me and my colleague it was brilliant because we could fit swimming in around my schedule. We were even allowed to take EMS dogs to the hotel with restrictions to some areas naturally. Do I recommend the hotel? Yes Will I return to the hotel

We have just returned home from our third visit to Palma Suites and we’re currently planning our fourth. Our most recent stay was for a month: it wasn’t long enough! The apartments are centrally located, spotlessly clean, comfortable and superbly equipped; the front desk staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful and the housekeeping staff cheerful, thorough and efficient. There was nothing we didn’t love, from the joy of sitting on the roof terrace with our evening drinks to the selection of books and magazines in reception. We’d like to keep it a secret but it’s too good not to share. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We stayed here for 8 nights in September and found it excellent value for money. We had access to the Level Lounge which had self serve beers, wine and soft drinks all day until 11pm. There are also small snacks and coffees etc. Breakfasts were in a sectioned off area of the main restaurant, service was great. Cocktails/drinks were served from 530pm to 7pm in the downstairs bar with afternoon tea type snacks - all included for Level guests. Pool was open with no restrictions. Gym was closed but they kindly gave us access for an hour daily that we agreed with them before we arrived. Room was great (718) two large balconies, one overlooking the marina, one on the side of the hotel. Two TVs, rainfall shower, Nespresso machine and Bluetooth speaker. Small fridge which we used to chill drinks bought elsewhere. Cleaned daily in the morning then a turn-down service in the evening. Location is very good, lots of nice bars and restaurants in easy walking distance then the main town is approx 20 mins walk. Taxis usually waiting outside reception if you prefer. We hired a car (Vanrell) for a few days - free parking directly outside the hotel.

Arrived here on 14th January for three weeks with Mercury to celebrate my wife's forthcoming 80th birthday, given a standard room which not only could you not see the sea but you had a job to see daylight. We paid €210 + anupgrade to a very nice room with a jacuzzi on the 4th floor. Problem is that there is no where to sit in the grounds on a sunny day. There is absolutely nothing to do whether it's nice or foul, no entertainment, however we do have a superb 42" Samsung television with 98 channels but NO English programmes, it must be something to do with Brexit!!. The food is mainly tepid, even the soup! We have started eating salads for dinner because they are warmer than most of cooked food! Tonight was an education, we have never had a meal in such a noisy environment, locals filling their plates with food, leaving most of it and then going up for another plate full. It was worst than an old fashioned Motorway service area not what i would expect from an established Hotel. The ambiance of the restaurant is not conducive to being on holiday. Not to be recommended.

Upset by the Stockholm weather we decided to book 5 spontaneous days in Palma, and as we normally stay at the San Francesc, we wanted to try their new competitor. And the challenger, Can bordoy, has succeeded in taking the crown from the king Francesc. First big advantage , the hotel is in the middle of La Lonja area (22m from Plaça de la dramas sa) but on a parallel street, carrer del Forn de la Glòria), that puts you in the middle of the old town but with a more quiet location. Second intrinsic advantage, the hotel has only 24 suites, that also makes it less crowded and give you more privacy. And for the last one, the hotel has two pool/private area for the hotel guests, one sundeck on the rooftop with a smaller glas pool on the top of the stairway (super Instagram friendly) with large and comfy sunbeds, and one in the large garden downstairs which is warmup with a stream function to swim train. Only these details make it a clear and easy choice... but then comes the soul of this hotel, its design and its hotel. I am normally not a big fan of Art Deco style, but the owner and the architect behind this project have succeeded big time. The mix of materials, fabrics, color is elegant, modern, cozy but still give you the feeling to step in into an old Spanish family mansion. They have basically think about all details, to the point that each room has its own sound system hidden in the art-deco minibar that plays can bordoy 3 elegant music selection channels (or your own music), the bed softeness/hardness that can be modified on both side depending on your length and weight, or the “secret” double door in the elevator that gives access to the garden pool area. But what makes this hotel unique is the dedication of its staff, they have a perfect attention to details and they will pamper you with an extremely professional attitude that is also friendly (I always prefer to be called by my first name rather than by my last name). From the restaurant team, to the piccolo, the spa, the bar and especially the butlers, the hotel manager and the owner Mikael have succeeded in giving this hotel a soul. We have been positively surprised by their concept of à la carte all-day breakfast. Finish with the morning stress of running downstairs for the breakfast, chasing a place to seat at rush hour, seeing food being wasted. Now you can wake up when you want, you ll be able to order their magic breakfast when it suits you, and for any guest concerns by sustainability, no food is wasted and it ensures a better work flow, that for sure, gives more normal working hours to its personal which is also more socially responsible. During these 5 days we have even spent an alla day without leaving the hotel, which has never happened to me in Mallorca. For any new guest to the island, you can trust the butlers or Emiliano (their talentuous sommelier, who creates a strong natural wines list) to arrange any booking at bars or restaurants (they have contacts with all my favorite

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of September. We travelled with Jet2 and I must admit when the coach dropped us off my husband looked at me and said ",where have you brought me!" Coaches can not get to the hotel so drop off is around the corner in the resort, the resort is quite run down and the coach driver's directions were not much help . The sister hotel is more obvious to find so I asked in there for directions which was ok and luckily our flight got us there in the morning, I wouldn't have liked it if we had arrived in the middle of the night not knowing where we were going. The area obviously has a problem with the drains and it is clear the hotel deals with this as best it can. But first impression was a little concerning. Fortunately things soon got better. Check in was fine, the receptionist was pleasant , our room was not ready as we had an early flight but as we were all inclusive she gave us the wrist bands so we could get some drinks and our room was ready in about half an hour. I liked that the wrist bands were ribbon rather than uncomfortable plastic. The room was really nice with a kettle, tea and coffee and a bottle of water which was replenished daily, the safe, fridge and the WiFi were at no extra cost. The maids came daily and kept the rooms nice and clean. The view from the balcony was excellent. Breakfast and evening meal were served at the hotel , lunch was served at the sister hotel. Entertainment and the gym were also at the sister hotel. The food was really nice and there was a very good choice of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. The dessert selection was excellent. The tables were cleared efficiently and the staff were lovely, especially lovely Carmen who always meet us with a warm greeting and welcoming smile. The pool area was not very big but we had no problem getting a sunbed and the pool was pleasant. The little beach was very close and so beautiful and lovely to swim in the sea. 2 sunbeds and an umbrella cost 19 euros for the day and there was a safe on the umbrella poll to keep valuables in while you swam which made for a very enjoyable beach day. The rest of the resort was not so good, quite a few places to eat ,a couple of spar shops ,a supermarket and a couple of souvenir shops, the shops seemed to be closed a lot. There is a good bus service to Palma though, we paid 1.50 euro each way. The last day we had a late flight, we were unable to get a late checkout as the hotel was full but were able to use a courtesy room for a shower before we left . All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday. The hotel staff were lovely , the beach was great, it is nice and close to Palma so airport transfer times were short. The only grumbles we had were things the hotel really has no control over.

My Wife and me went for a small holiday trip in Palma, during Corona time. From the beginning, the stuff was nice, attentive, and always ready to help. It has to be mentioned, that during the times of Covid, the stuff was working tip-top, be it the planning of the breakfast schedules, service and disinfection. The rooms were exactly what we waited for: simple, chic and clean. The bed size was fine as well. The only upset was the air conditioning malfunction after the first night, where it stopped working and as a result, water started dripping out. We immediately got an upgrade for free, as well as lots of apologies. The walking distance is 12-13 minutes, with a slow enjoyable speed, that might be a bit tiring if its too hot, but for a young couple, it shouldn't be any concern. As of breakfast, it was always the same, but at the same time, always tasty!| On the last day, we asked the stuff to send the things via Post, the things we couldn't take on airplane, and the respond was once again kind and quick! So yes, I would recommend this hotel, to anybody how's not too lazy for walking a bit, and has no special demands for a super posh and fancy hotel! The ones who love simplicity and tasty architecture, would be welcome there

We were never expecting what greeted us on arrival at this exquisite hideaway in the centre of Palma, only a few minutes walk from the Cathedral and high end fashion shops. To say that this building, once an extremely large doctor's house and stables, has been sympathetically renovated would be an understatement. So many original features and photos throughout, showing the original state, this hotel is exquisite. The staff are extremely professional whilst making their guests feel welcome and very much at home. Our room was stunning with all the extras one would expect from a high end hotel. The food was everything we would ever want. Freshly baked break, excellent fruit selection, hams, cheeses, cereals yoghurts, nuts etc, etc together with cooked eggs selection, all served in the stables. We have thought long and hard to find at least one small disadvantage but have to say can find none. We are in the process of booking a flight and will return in the next few weeks. Well done Summum and a big thank you .
