We were pleased with out holiday overall however due to Covid-19 I do not think that we saw this hotel at its best. We did not experience a massive queue at check in and the receptionist couldn't have done a better job as he rushed us through the necessary procedures so we could make it to the dining room before it closed as we arrived late. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet and had a beautiful view of the sea. The bathroom was a little bit tired but everything worked and was clean. The location was great for us, but it is a little way out of town. There is also a lovely pathway along the coast with great views of Fuerteventura. The food was good however there was not much choice and some dishes were cold. The restaurant staff could not have worked harder however there were far more guests in the hotel than the number of staff could cope with. There were queues for tables at some points. We managed to get into both Dolce Vita and Sakura which we enjoyed as a change from the Buffet. However do not order the Thai Red Curry as there is no heat in it and it tastes like a very mild Katsu Curry. My husband was very disappointed. There were very long queues for both the pool bar and the lobby bar as again there were too many guests for the number of staff. We didn't mind the queuing however some people were ordering multiple rounds of drinks at a time which slowed things down further. There were plenty of sun loungers and many different pools to choose from. Overall whilst there was clearly room for improvement we do feel some of the reviews of this hotel have been slightly harsh. The hotel is doing it's best considering we are in the middle of a Global pandemic and the UK Government opened a travel corridor to the Canaries with short notice at schools half term which resulted in an influx of guests that the Hotel may have unprepared for. We probably wouldn't return to this hotel but we would not be adverse to trying another H10

We have recently returned from our 2nd visit to this wonderful hotel. On arrival after a refreshing glass of cava we received a room upgrade as return guests - huge balcony, table and chairs and 2 sun beds. Everything and everywhere, as before, exceptionally clean and maintained throughout our stay. The staff are polite, courteous and very helpful. We were pleased to see the issue (we had last year) with young children in the theatre and on the stage had been addressed. Some entertainment, especially the 3 tenors, was marvellous, some not so much but, the hotel is catering for a wide range in tastes. We did not use the entertainment team very much, but when we did they appeared enthusiastic without being obtrusive - fine balance - well done. The service in the Sports Bar was terrific - special mention to Mehdi ( who we knew from our 1st visit) to Juan and Alex trying to anticipate your next request. Food in the buffet provided something for everyone and usually at the correct temperature - the soups were very good as were the desserts - my favourite, although being over 70 was a strawberry ice cream cone! Which I think I had twice a day for at least 5days. Another nice touch was the Iced lollies served around the pool in the afternoon. The waiters in the dining room appeared to move “at a 100 miles an hour” clearing and setting tables with a smile, Well done Iberostar Lanzarote Park for another great stay. We left on 16th March - a day after the Spanish Government Lockdown - and may I congratulate the Reception Staff for their calm and professionalism when appearing to receive abuse our final morning - the situation was not of their making - I would like to offer my apologies on behalf of any British guests who acted in this manner!

Spent 10 days here a week before the island was put on lockdown. This was a replacement as we'd booked for the Hisperia which was under renovation, however, it certainly wasn't second best.Thouroughly enjoyed the stay, all the staff from the cleaners to reception were excellent. The accommodation was well presented and cleaned as was the restaurant which had great, well prepared and varied dishes. The outside areas were well established and very well maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel, with excellent access to all amenieties, beach, bars, supermarkets, old town, harbour and marina. Hopefully the hotel and staff will be able to weather the current problems and we will return in the future, God willing. Best wishes.

We have just returned , from an eventful stay . Due to the covid 19 situation, the hotel went into a semi lock down halfway through our stay . We stayed A/I, in a garden view room ( room 123 ) . The room had a big balcony with a lovely sea view , a table and 2 chairs . We didn't really have any issues with the bedroom , although a bit more storage would have been nice as we we're there for 2 weeks . The bathroom was large although a bit dated and tired , with a shower over a bath . The room was cleaned daily , with regular clean bed linen and towels . The cleanliness thought the hotel was superb. Around the 2 outdoor pools , the grounds are very well kept with ample sunbeds. The food in the main restaurant, had a good choice of good quality food . The pool bar does a lunchtime service. There is a restaurant called kasbah ,although pleasant, we preferred the main restaurant . There are 2 bars , a piano bar with plenty of seating and a large showroom with a variety evening entertainment. There is a good choice of branded drinks on A/I . This review is based on our first week , as everything changed in week 2 due to the restrictions brought in by the Spanish government to fight covid 19 . I would like to finish this review by praising the hotel staff .Through out week one they could not have been more pleasant or helpful , however , in week 2 this was multiplied 10 fold in very trying conditions. They are a credit to the hotel , and we can't thank them enough.

We stayed at the H10 White Suites just as the Spanish government put the country on lock down due to Coronavirus. The staff were efficient & always smiling during the difficult situation which changed frequently. Initially we were only B&B and enjoyed 3 days of using the local restaurants & bars before they had to shut. The hotel is well located to walk into the main part of Playa Blanca or to Rubicon Marina in the other direction. If you like a good walk then Faro Lighthouse and Papayago beaches are well worth the walk there & back. Once the “lockdown” was enforced the hotel were happy to upgrade us to HB & we enjoyed good varied food in the restaurant. The hotel is extremely clean and having a suite with a bedroom, lounge & outdoor seating area is a real treat. The pool area is relaxed, clean and well laid out. Thank you to all the staff for their dedication during a difficult period. We would certainly return & hopefully next time will manage to complete our holiday without any virus curtailing it!

Had to return home a few days earlier than planned as a result of the coronavirus concerns and island lockdown. Still did manage over a week. Have been to Playa Blanca a few times before, but our first stay here. We arrived late after reception was closed, but no problem, went to the downstairs bar, got the key and then reception the next day. From start to finish all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Full marks. The bungalow we stayed in was recently renovated and so very clean. Never even saw one cockroach in it!! The shower was great, the kitchen was not super fantastic but OK, bedroom and living room good, nice size. The patio was certainly a nice ‘sun trap’. The house-keeping was fine, albeit we would sometimes say not needed today, which was fine with the lady. Outside your room the bar downstairs serves great food, very efficient and friendly staff and is not expensive. The pool area offers plenty of sun beds. The garden area is very well maintained. Location wise you are obviously outside Playa Blanca, but just a short walk to the promenade then into the town or go the other way to the lighthouse (keep going to the old ruined hotel and beyond if you like quiet walks). Also options on buses (No 30 stop every 30 mins), taxi or car hire (plenty of onsite parking and free). Guess the one change I would suggest, the WiFi cost, which was not expensive (32 euro for 14 nights) should be in the price paid. My wife and I will certainly consider staying again.

Just got back from our holiday at the Coral Beach. We were made to feel welcome from the moment of arrival. We were in villa 49,it has uninterrupted views of the sea. This place is a gem. You can sit on your very own terrace and listen to the waves crashing against the rocks below you. In fact sometimes the whole of the terrace vibrated. Just a short stroll out of the gate and you find yourself on a path on the cliff top, with waves I've only ever seen while watching an episode of Paldark. You will find it hard to pull yourself away. Follow the path to the left, at the end of the path you have to take the rocky path to the light house, here you will find yet another path that's takes you down the coast. The hotel puts on a free shuttle bus to playa blanca, so you can go to the market at the Marina Rubicon. Just be at the main doors for 10am Wednesday , & Saturday no need to book. The villas all have two bedrooms, and are a fantastic size. With a great size lounge / dining area, a separate well stocked kitchen. The bathroom has a shower above the bath, (this might be a problem for the less mobile) the bath is quite deep to get in and out . Towels are changed every 3 days, and beds every 4 days. Beach towels can be hired €10 which is refunded on return . WiFi free in reception but paid for in rooms. I don't know how much this is, has we were given it free as a gesture of good will. (we came to them from another hotel which we were not happy with). We didn't need the air conditioning, but all you need to do is ask for the remote at reception it is free. Food is very basic, but always found something to eat. Breakfast and lunch very good. Dinner was a bit hit and miss. We didn't always bother with dinner and prefered to say in villa doing our own thing. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance, however if you want to eat out of a night time you would have a get a taxi back, has there is no lighting over the waistland you have to go over to get to them. Entertainment is low key. Siri the lovely young lad who does it is great with both the young and old alike. Trying his best to keep everyone entertained, with games, sports, bingo and Karaoke. Both my husband and I along with other guests, feel this place could be so much more. We have witnessed holiday makers stop and look at the villas even taking photos. Up grade the food and drink, make it adults only, I'm sure people would pay a primium for a villa in a little piece paradise. Away from all the hussle and bustle, with the option to go into town twice a week. I would recommend this villa complex if you are looking to get a away from life. The staff are great, and do everything to make sure your holiday is perfect. Turn your phone off and relax.

We are just home after a week here. We had a really good time. After reading reviews about lack of variety in food etc we were worried that it would be bad, but we were pleasantly surprised. The breakfasts tended to be the same things which was fine. At lunch and dinner it changed from day to day. Mostly good quality, with the odd dish over cooked or far too salty. But on the whole very good. There wasn't as much choice for vegetarians but still some variety. My husband is mildy coeliac. There were labels on most things to say if there was gluten etc in the dish. This wasn't 100% reliable and sometimes the wrong label was on the dish. Not wise going all inclusive though if you have a serious allergy as cross contamination is unavoidable. My husband did find there was a lot more choice for him than he thought, although he really would have appreciated Gluten free bread at breakfast and lunch! All the staff were really lovely and very helpful. Can't fault them. They were really lovely with our children too. Check in was easy, they sent us through to get lunch before it closed and we finished check in after lunch. The pools are great. The baby pool and another big pool are heated. One big pool isn't heated which is nice on a warm day, and there is never anyone in it so you can get a good swim! People tend to leave their inflatables etc that they bought for kids so no need to buy any. They are stacked at the side of the pool. The aqua park is good. You just walk through a gate to get in, don't even go out the hotel really! There is a lazy river, a beach with wave machine that comes on a certain times. Big flumes, which my husband said were great! At the beginning of March the hotel and aqua park were very calm and not busy which was great. The weather was perfect for us too with a 1 & 4 year old. Around 20 degrees or so. The heated pools were a God send though! You can walk to various places from the hotel. There is a path which is buggy and Wheelchair friendly which takes you all the way to the lighthouse. The beach is 2 minutes away and is a lovely beach so no need to travel to another. There are sunbeds at 12euros for 2. The sea is very calm so easy to take kids into. You can also walk to the red volcano. It took us around 2 hours with the wee ones. Lovely views at the top but very windy. Cover shoulders, Wear sensible footwear and take water obviously. You can see the path from the hotel. If you head towards it there are signs for the volcano. It is a fair trek to get into town where the market is. We walked it and it was definitely too far for the kids and our daughter is a really good Walker. Going into town makes you realise what a quiet area the hotel is in. It's ideal for families or if your after a relaxing time. The challets of the hotel are probably the one thing that slightly let's the hotel down. They are very simple which is fine but a tad run down. Paint was pealing off a

I do n’t think I will choose this next time. It was set the night before the departure. There are not many choices, mainly because I am facing the sea. I have a love for the facilities. If so, the service of reception. . . Very uncomfortable. . When we rented a car and just drove in, the doorman came to pick us up lazily and ignored him, because the doormen from other hotels had received us at the beginning. . The instant favorability was reduced; the person who checked in was next to me and smiled, said a word to us, and then went back to chatting with the doorman in Spanish. . The doorman looked at us and laughed. . Very uncomfortable smile. . . Breakfast was average, but the service from the restaurant was much better. It is recommended that you book three or four months in advance, so that you have more options.

Extremely friendly staff, especially in the restaurants. Very spacious, clean room. In my opinion, the hotel website gives a wrong picture. It is an insanely large hotel (close to mass tourism), which is extremely difficult to find due to its size. The superficial map of the hotel is of little help. The paths are very far and cumbersome depending on where the room is. You often lose your bearings. The food in the restaurants is very good but still very expensive, especially compared to the local prices. The key card was already deactivated on the morning of the check-out. At the reception you had the impression that it was a matter of course. If you like huge hotels and value good food and a modern ambience and like to spend one more taler, this is the place for you. If you like it less anonymous and with less hustle and bustle and don't want to spend too much on extra services and especially if you want to go on a beach vacation, you should look for an alternative!

Parking is really troublesome. There is a parking lot opposite but it is very expensive. It took half an hour to check in at the front desk and ignored people. A group of 6 of us stayed for my birthday week, one of the rooms upgraded to a sea view apartment because they had no studios left... amazing! There was 3 couples and we all had really nice rooms, the view from our balcony in 206 was beautiful. Rooms and grounds all very clean, (apart from the odd bug sneaking in) we loved comparing flamingo wall paper! The food was really nice, we opted for half board, I dont eat meat and still had lots of choice for breakfast and evening meal. Did not see the pool area really busy, we even had to to ourselves a couple of evnings. The staff were all very friendly, I would definitly recommend this and would love to stay again! Thank you!

My husband and I usually spend our winter holiday in Eastern countries but this year decided to look for a short haul holiday. Only having been to Tenerife very briefly in the past we had no idea where to go. We are SO glad that we found El Mirador. From the moment that we arrived our hotel experience was second to none. The staff at this hotel are just so genuinely friendly, upbeat and just want you to have a wonderful time. The hotel has its own calm elegance. Our room was very nice indeed with a well furnished and spacious sun terrace. The hotel is in a perfect location - just a 20 minute walk to the lovely village of La Caleta and walks in the opposite directions take you to many shops and restaurants. Nestled in the 'skirts' of the hotel are some good restaurants and within a quaint double courtyard area are several small boutiques. The sunbathing arrangements are very good - we were well looked after by staff who are happy to arrange sunbeds, tables and sun umbrellas just exactly where you decide - thank you Leoni in particular. Complimentary fruit/cocktails are served at intervals too - yummy! But - the abiding memory that we have of our 5 week stay here was the fabulous staff. The General Manager, Marc, is extremely friendly and is constantly in touch with guests. We did have one small issue(with teabags!) -but this was sorted out instantly and most charmingly by the wonderful Tiziana (Assistant Manager) - no one can visit this hotel and not be dazzled by this lovely young lady - she is an absolute credit to the hotel. We also were impressed by Carla, who was a university student on placement here - she was delightful with a cute sense of humour. The rest of the staff were collectively of five-star standard. Thank you to all at the Grand El Mirador, our holiday exceeded our expectations.

WOW what a fantastic hotel. Booked our wedding anniversary [Friday 13th ] trip. Got a lovely welcome and explaination of the facilities from Mario at reception. We booked Prestige didn't realise that the snacks inc were free inc the wine and alcohol. Plentry for us at lunchtime. Small sandwiches and cakes regularly topped up from 10am -6pm . Shown round the areas asigned to the Prestige by Lukas the next day . Brilliant first impression. The room allocated to us on the 10th floor was comfortable , not overly big but enough. Small enclosed balcony which got the sun in the morning. Coffee machine in room. replenished daily as is the water. large enough shower room with usual supplies of toiletries etc. Large airy restaurant with superb selection of food. Always hot ~ never had a meal that felt as tho could be hotter. Table service excellant as were the chef's who were constantly replenishing food. The cleaning staff continually going round ensuring floors were clean. Bar service also very good large entertainment area with good entertainment. Now for interesting Part!! COVID-19 hit us and 14th March midnight police started to go round and advising public areas , bars and restaurants to close with immediate effect. Next day 15th the rumours among guests were varied but we noticed subtle changes around hotel. There was a letter put through the door advising us of social distancing in accordance with their Govt guidelines. still allowed to go about hotel but restricted useage advised. Restaurants open and almost normal service. on 16th Staff started to remove empty sun beds and take away . Members of staff going around advising us to return to our rooms as hotel was going into mandatory lockdown. Information given was as good as they had at the time . Most of us did as asked but always some who needs to argue which is silly as it was outwith hotels control. Notices appeared soon after around hotel informing us of the restictions put on us. Also letter through the door giving us our allocated meal times. All facilities were closed to us . Staff went about their work as calmly as possible, did not display any panic and always polite to us. Customers were leaving hotel and going home as advised . Despite the Worldwide pandemic of this virus not once did we experience bad contact with staff members. Staff also probably had their own concerns re health and also job safety and the fact they continued as normal as possible In my opinion showed good guidence from there own superiors. Food continued to be of high standard we were HB but now had lunch inc. We had a drinks trolley and ice cream trolley to our rooms between meal times also. Loads of customers had either holiday's extended or curtailed as the situation changed. We were one of the last ones to leave the hotel . Our last day due to less than 20 rooms in the large hotel being occupied we recieved breakfast in our rooms at a time to suit us. 2 large trays with cold buffet appeare

Last summer I had an unforgettable time at hotel Costa Adeje Palace in Tenerife. in this review I'm going to show you that this beautiful hotel is the place to be… Before we arrived, I was already amazed by it’s beautiful location. Behind our hotel was already the sea! We didn't have to wait long to check out our beautiful room. The room had everything you wanted. The hygiene was magnificent and we were immediately welcomed with some sweets. Unfortunately we slept on the ground floor which gave us a limited view. The first day we enjoyed ourselves by the pool. Next to the pool was a bar with very friendly service. There were also regular water activities such as water polo or water cycling . the pool itself was very beautiful and surrounded by a magnifique garden. However, you must be there in the morning if you want sun loungers. In addition to the buffet, there were also a few restaurants, each with their own traditional cuisine. We didn't hesitate to try them out. Restaurante La Tosca was the best. The service there was excellent and friendly. We got a table in the open air. Because it is only a small restaurant it provided the necessary peace and quiet to enjoy the delicious meals we were served. The buffet was very tasty with an abundance of different meals. There were also some chefs who prepared the most refined dishes. Unfortunately we slept next to the evening entertainment which often lasted until 11 am. When we wanted to go to sleep early the first night to cope with the night flight, this was impossible. When we went to the counter the next morning to report this problem, they quickly assigned us a new room on the fourth floor. This room was more modern than the previous one with a completely renovated bathroom. There we had an incredible view of the sea. But we still heard the children's entertainment. I advise the hotel to turn down the evening music from 11 o'clock. the hotel is definitely recommended. It is located next to the sea. The rooms are very nice with all the necessary amenities. The spacious swimming pool is surrounded by a magnifique garden and is equipped with the necessary water activities. The food is very tasty with a variety of dishes. The friendly service also tries to satisfy your wishes as much as possible. If you combine this hotel with the beautiful island of Tenerife this can only turn out to be the perfect holiday.

I am a passionate of hôtels and I had always thought that the day I had come to Tenerife I would stay at Bahia del Duque. To be honest we are not passionate of big hotels or resorts but it’s true that BdD delivers the perfect holiday experience. Once you arrive you are welcome by friendly porters, perfectly dressed in their typical uniforms. Check in was fast and then we were quickly escorted to our room with one of their buggy. The room was very spacious, perfectly appointed. Traditional and modern at same time. Breakfast in the morning was HUGE. Never seen something like that! A lot of food...and always friendly staff. The pools are large. Only one is heated but we could have a quick swim also in the cold one. In February! The beach is just out of the garden gates: 2 mètres and you have your foot in the sand! The beach is managed by the hotel but it’s not included and local people can use it too. The prices are cheap. We used the spa for one day and it was very nice (especially the massage). There is a little charge for it, definitely worth as you have a peaceful and exclusive experience. The service in the resort is always present, not oppressive, very professional and friendly. The night we arrived Tenerife suffered a thunderstorm of sand coming from the Sahara (locals call it Calita) something extraordinarily strong, that impacted all the streets, hotels, gardens. But starting the following morning, all the staff were working hard to fix everything. And they did it very quickly! Since I love hotels, I had a tour in all the five stars property around BdD and, to be honest, no one looked better to me. We were very curious to see the Ritz Carlton Abama so we want there for dinner once. Despite it is very posh and modern, it was like “lost in the middle of nowhere”, with a sense of total isolation. So, we would chose BdD again for its position (walking distance to local bars, restaurants), the beautiful promenade in front of it for a perfect run and, overall, for the relaxed and friendly atmosphere: it will grant you a perfect holiday!

My partner and I just stayed for a week in the Anthelia. We usually goto a villa in Portugal (for the past 15 years) so this was the first time we stayed in a hotel like this, so we've not had much experience to compare it with. Firstly, I'd like to thank the hotel for putting us in a room with a stunning view (Dafne 208). The hotel complex is stunning as well and is a joy to walk around and explore. It is spotlessly clean and does not have a blade of grass out of place. The pools are very nice areas to sit at and order drinks at the main pool. Our stay was in November so there were plenty of loungers to choose from. It was nice to see the hotel had their own herb garden and had lots of choice for places to sit and was relatively easy to navigate our way around. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Our board was B&B. The buffet was reasonably good with a good choice of food (continental bacon is nowhere near as good as British bacon, sorry!). Our beds were comfy and we slept well. That's the positives. However, there are some negatives that the hotel could do to improve their service. When we arrived the receptionist offered to get a staff member to take our luggage to the room. I said I didn't mind taking the luggage myself (I also had medication in it which I needed to take). The receptionist then drew a line on a map of the hotel to our room, but we ended up getting lost. The staff should always show new residents to their rooms in a complex of that size. When we got to the room there was no instructions as to how to operate the air conditioning. There was also no iron in the room. I phoned reception and they said they would arrange it…next day - still no iron, so I had to phone reception again and the iron arrived later that day. Of the two sinks - the plug hole on the left sink doesn't work, so you have to keep the water running. Also, every time you turn the television on the volume defaults to blaringly loud, so it stopped me from turning the TV on late at night or if my partner was sleeping. This became extremely annoying. It's nice having a coffee machine in the room but many British guests would appreciate a small kettle with tea bags as well. You would get a kettle and tea bags in every 2 star guest house in the UK.  Regarding the breakfast buffet, the staff often seem very busy and overworked. It made me feel uncomfortable to watch them and I almost felt apologetic when having to ask them for something. When you ask for a pot of tea the staff sometimes give you two tea bags then sometimes you get just one tea bag and have to get another yourself. There just needs to be a bit of consistency. There was often either items of cutlery missing or staff whipped your cutlery away without asking if we were finished and we had to keep asking for more. There was often a shortage of sugar sachets but we didn't have salt & pepper sachets which was annoying. One day we found rancid, black butter which was in a sealed packet at the butter display

4 of us have just returned from a week’s stay at this beautiful hotel set in a stunning location.Nothing is more important just now than health and safety during Covid 19.This RIU hotel could not have kept us safer. The outstanding protocol they have in place to protect their guests is second to none.Plenty of hand sanitisers, one way systems, ensuring masks are worn, temperature taken by dining room manager at breakfast and Dinner, dining tables and chairs being sanitised thoroughly, staff sweeping and cleaning constantly, snacks at lunchtime brought to your sunloungers to avoid any crowding at pool bars,a security guard at the rear gate of the hotel ensuring everyone wearing a mask leaving and re entering the hotel, reception staff behind protective screens at all times,a limit of 2 people only per lift.Excellent hygiene standards in the dining room.A visible request is left on certain tables to avoid using in order to facilitate socially distanced dining.Waiting staff carrying sanitising gel at all times. In addition to the above protocol, all staff were very friendly and courteous at all times, while working extremely hard to ensure health and hygiene standards were maintained. The food is of an excellent quality and variety.Public rooms are comfortable and stylish. The hotel grounds are well maintained and kept spotlessly clean as are the pools. There are plenty of sun loungers and areas to sunbathe spread over the grounds of the hotel. The guest rooms are very comfortable and stylish and the beds are extremely comfortable.Huge bathrooms have double sinks,a large walk in shower and have sanitising gel dispensers as well as the usual shampoo and shower gel dispensers. The balcony is a good size and has reclining chairs. The housekeeping staff ensure a supply of clean towels each day and fresh bed linen on request. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.Riu has excellent standards during non Covid times and just now they are excelling themselves beyond expectation.

Just returned from a 10 day stay at the GF Gran Costa Adeje. From check in which was quick and efficient to our departure we could not fault this hotel in any way. The bedroom was spacious as was the bathroom. Plenty of wardrobe space for hanging clothes, shelves in the wardrobes. The safe was easy to programme and use. Without exception from check-in staff to room cleaning staff to bar staff to the people handing out the pool towels and the pool bar staff all were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant deserves special mention as not only was the variety of food at all meals quite exceptional, plus hot food was always hot, sometimes the plates were a little too hot to handle but there was a supply of small serviettes to hold the plates with. In all our years of travel this is the only hotel we have been to where we haven't had to pick up a plate or glass and return it because it had food stains or wasn't property clean. This really made a very big impression on us. The machines to dispense both the butter and jams were very clever and saved a lot of hassle. The coffee machines in the restaurant dispensed very good coffee and the fruit juices at breakfast were also of a very good quality. The staff in the restaurant were exceptional - as soon as we sat down at a table someone was there, either to ask what drinks we'd like, or if the table hadn't been relayed to relay it immediately for use. Clearing finished plates away was also immediate. This struck us as very well organised and the company had certainly trained their staff to a superb degree. The entertainment was better than any we had previously experienced in any hotel. This ranged from singers, instrumentalists, flamenco dancers and a magician. This is a large hotel with more than enough seating in the lounge area to watch the entertainment. The pool areas are also very large with loads of sunbeds and parasols. Definitely no need to reserve a sunbed as there was more than enough to go round. Small wooden tables by each sunbed. One of the pools was heated which was pleasant, the other pool wasn't heated, so up to the individual to pick which one they would feel happy in. Neither of the pools was deep, but certainly both were fine for swimming in, but not to dive into. The big bonus around the pool was it was quite quiet and the only major noise was when the animation team appeared for water aerobics. If music was playing in the background it was very quiet. Although the facilities in the hotel had to be closed by order of the Spanish Government for the last two days of our holiday the hotel did everything possible to make our stay as enjoyable as possible in the circumstances. We shall definitely return to this hotel.

We booked a 4-night stay at Baobab Suites very last minute through secret escapes. The hotel is in a lovely area of Tenerife, and only a 10 minute (although very steep) walk to the beach with crystal clear and warm water, which appears to be popular with locals. We were kindly upgraded to a much larger room with a big kitchen, separate bedroom, and a sun-soaked terrace facing the garden (Divinity Eden). After realising we had been upgraded we asked if we could be moved back to our original, much smaller studio room after one night, as this had a shared pool on the balcony. This was organised for us within a few hours. We had to share the pool with two rooms on either side of us, but we only heard someone in it once, so we basically had it to ourselves. It appeared small at first but was surprisingly large and great to do a few lengths or jump into from your terrace as a break from the 30-degree heat. Both of our rooms were lovely, with massive, comfy beds and lovely walk-in showers. Although the buffet breakfast was closed, we ordered for the next day off a long list of options to be served in our room. We are always nervous when going abroad as we are vegan and it can sometimes be hard to find food. We did not struggle to eat at Baobab Suites at all, with soya/almond milk, fruit, bread, jam, cereal and beans available for breakfast and a beyond burger available in the restaurant or for room service. The bar was also lovely on an evening for a cocktail, and the staff working there were friendly and accomodating. In terms of COVID-19, we felt extremely safe. There was hand sanitiser available all around the hotel, and as with everywhere in Spain, masks are mandatory at all times, even down the street, a lovely change from the UK. We were even expected to wear them to accept room service, which we were happy about. The entire place was extremely clean and hygienic, and as the hotel was quite quiet we had no issues with social distancing. I would definitely recommend Baobab Suites for a stay in Tenerife!!

We had stayed 4 nights previously in May 2018 and loved it. Stayed one week late Jan-Feb 2020 and found it to be ok but the entertainment and food had slipped in quality. Reception and public areas exceptionally clean, looks great. Rooms and Beds. Light decor and modern, great shower. The room was a little cold a few nights and didn't get much heat from the air con. Beds were ok but prefer much firmer. Pool and Sun loungers. Excellent, the smaller pool is heated sufficiently for swimming in January and the sun loungers are good quality and plentiful. In the 18 months since our last stay they had done some work by the larger pool which looks really smart Bars. Only 2 bars here, it's not a large all inclusive complex. One outside for day use, one inside in the basement which serves as the entertainment area on an evening too. A couple of the older male staff still favoured serving females before anyone else, bit daft and pointless, but service was never too long. I did find the entertainment to be much poorer than last time, we maybe stayed in the hotel twice and felt like we needed to go elsewhere on an evening. Restaurant and Food. As with last time, the place relies too much on fish and sometimes hard to make a meal on an evening. The themed cooking on an evening takes away choice elsewhere and you are left trying to find things to complement. I didn't try the a la carte, it wasn't open every night we were there. The biggest issue was not using the extraction around the cooking areas, you could really smell the restaurant around the complex at meal times. Get them turned on and lose the smell. Though it was January, we took to eating outside half the time. I think the hotel suits staying for a mini break but not a week. We previously tagged 4 nights on the end of staying self catering and it was great. I just feel like once you have stayed here a couple of days there is nothing else for the place to offer you. Maybe a bit better in the summer where it is warmer and you are more likely to venture out more. We would consider staying here again but there are more competitively priced 4* establishments that are much bigger and offer more within the hotel. Ok, meeting 4* standards but should improve the food variety.

Great location right by the sea... we had a chaotic very delayed flight and arrival due to the worse Calima(sandstorm) in living memory. We arrived to a reception full of displaced people who did not know what was happening. We had experienced a 22hrs delay so were tired too. Reception was ok but we were not offered lunch despite having missed dinner the previous night and breakfast. Fortunately as we had opted for the Privilege package we could wait for our room to be ready in the lounge with drinks and snacks. When we got to the room, it was fine, sea view, nice large shower and good toiletries. Storage limited especially hooks. The safe was open but no key, so I went back to reception only told very officiously we had been given it. We had not! And they eventually found the key which was in the wrong place and a very reluctant apology. The reception staff in one way were pleasant but we did on a few more occasions experience the officious attitude which we could do without! But will say that whilst we arrived in chaos all staff clearly worked extremely hard to get everything back to normal after the storm including the pools. They also had the sister hotel going into lockdown due to Coronavirus ! 2 days later everything was back to normal and spotlessly clean for which they should be praised!! We had chosen the Privilege package. All good except for smoking. I would suggest the hotel needs to consider introducing designated smoking areas or smoke free zones! We suffered from smokers, including cigar smokers, on the terrace, the buffet outside dining area at breakfast and dinner and the entertainment lounge smelling of smoke too. Very unpleasant and difficult to get away from. I did try to speak to the management as I don’t see this as a difficult issue to resolve but without any satisfactory outcome. Mirella the Privilege hostess said it was difficult as not law Food varied. Had to send numerous meals back in the Mirador restaurant. Lamb, salmon, prawns and pancakes all arrived raw and we don’t like well done food!!! Buffet was good, exceptional choice at breakfast. In many ways I preferred the buffet to the Mirador but like to sit outside and with people lighting up as you eat at dinner went back to Mirador despite the at time’s slow service. We loved the constant clean towels. My one piece of laundry came back with a stain I could not remove gone! Brilliant Entertainment was varied. Some great and some not so but like another reviewer said we could do without the certificate giving etc every night and nationality identification! Would we go again? Yes I think so. Lots of positives but a few tweaks would make it even better for all. They must be commended on their continued hard work to ensure it is spotlessly clean especially in current times! Thanks for a lovely holiday, weather was perfect.

Just returned from a 9 night stay at the panoramica with our children (aged 7 and 4). Chosen mainly for the views which were stunning! We found our 3 bed apartment to be clean and spacious and was regularly cleaned with new towels and linen left throughout our stay. Air conditioning worked although wasn't really needed at this time if year. Shower and bathroom fine and the beds were perfectly comfortable. Loads of storage. A 4 ring hob and full size fridge was a nice bonus. The dining chairs were in a very poor state but were replaced by The hotem early in our stay(spontaneously - we didn't ask them to). The communal and pool areas were kept clean and tidy. We were able to swim in the pool which was chilly but not too cold given it is Febuary. The website claims it is heated in the winter months - I don't know if it was or not. Note we tend to go out during the day and then went to the pool at 4 or 5 pm when the sun will have helped. I'm not sure what it would be like in the morning. Sun loungers were in good supply but it was an off peak time. All staff that we came into contact with were friendly and minor issues (ceracked wine glasses and tv not working) were sorted at the second time of asking. We didn't eat in the restaurant so couldn't comment on the food. Next the (slight) downsides. Even by the average self catering standards the kitchen was VERY poorly stocked. 1 tiny pan, one massive one, one frying pan, one plastic stirring spoon, 1 bread knife and one small blunt paring knife. A microwave/grill but no instructions. No spatula, no colander, single small sink and no draining board and a tea towel the size of a small tissue. Then again it didn't really affect us as we gave up trying to make anything more than pasta in these places a long time ago.... Car parking was fine although in high season might be more of a struggle. I did get slightly irritated with reviews complaining that this place is on a hill which is obvious from the pictures however on getting there I now understand that people may be talking about the steep 40 metre(ish) hill that you have to climb from reception to get to the road for transport. I can imagine if you are older or unwell that this would be difficult as it is a significant incline. We had an enjoyable stay and would return.

Our 6th visit in January for a winter break. Stayed in the Level junior suite and the room was fantastic. Very clean,- the lady who cleaned the room every day was excellent , spacious , sunloungers on balcony and it was in a quiet area of the hotel. One of the reasons we return to this hotel is we like the area it’s in, quiet and a good walk to the beach ,sea front etc.. We used taxis to get home a few evenings and it was only €5 per trip from Fanabe area. The excellent customer service from the staff makes it a pleasure to stay in this hotel. Carolina has an amazing team who are polite and very very helpful, nothing is a trouble for them .She herself is a credit to the hotel , pleasant efficient and always smiling! Anna who checked us both in and out was such a lovely person and very efficient, Anthony who was always busy but very pleasant in the Level lounge, Johann at the bar- also excellent at his job and Ramon from the pool area is one of the most helpful pleasant members of staff in any hotel I’ve stayed in. Breakfast was always nice , quiet and relaxed , also had a lot of choice for food. We never had a problem getting a sun lounger around the Level pool even late morning / early afternoon. The ‘happy’ hour was a nice way to begin an evening - only 1 criticism about this , there should be a drinks measure as my husband was a bit hefty with the Gin measures!!! We had a very relaxing 11 days and will definitely return.

Just got home and we had a fab time. 2 adults and one child. Hotel wasn’t busy little one had kids pool park to himself mostly. Kids club was unbelievably fantastic he loved it! All staff was friendly and helpful, we upgraded to a villa paid extra but we realised it was noisy due to next door building works staff very helpful and moved us and I was refunded immediately. We had a bungalow in front of pool which was very clean, all staff wore masks and happy. My little boy bought lots of toys when out with his “pocket money” staff cleaned room left him a bucket to keep them in and he was ecstatic over it. One staff member a older gent always happy cheery and called the little one “happy boy” which made his day and he looked forward to seeing him everyday. We were bed & breakfast only had breakfast once wasn’t the best food was cold and very little on offer however I can understand under the circumstances. Drinks very cheap. Bar service was brilliant. Even Covid friendly kids disco all kids and staff worked brilliant. Felt safer here then at home and if we could of stayed we would. We didn’t have neighbours as they don’t have two room next door occupied due to Covid which I think is fantastic. The hotel has very clearly worked hard to re open in the safest way, they had a tougher lockdown then us and couldn’t even leave home for exercise and they really are grateful for everyone coming back. We ate on evening at local Restaurants sad to see the scene so quiet. Weather was fantastic. Cleaners done exceptional job cleaning constantly. Masks enforcement by security and staff if not worn. I noticed the English seemed to follow rules it was other nationalities which clearly didn’t. Tenerife is always our happy place but GF Isabel and staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time before returning home. As for another review over water, when we were there our bungalow bath ran yellow water until it came through properly, not a problem just run the tap for a few mins and all was well, remember people this hotel has had no guests at one point and a lot of rooms will of been un occupied for a long time before tourists returned. Be happy, have fun and support them. Thank you for giving us a amazing break and we can’t wait to return! We have visitedGF Gran, GF Fanabe and we wouldn’t use any other chain. I am a instagram follower and they responded quick to my enquires before we got there. Again thank you! We hope all staff stay safe! Ps hand sanitiser is available at every point in hotel contact free !

Another idyllic visit to the Salome (our fifth to date with more to come). All the best features have been retained post-refurb and those aspects that were marginally less than perfect have been improved. We were slightly concerned about the Skandi minimalist rooms before this February stay (we haven't visited since the refurb) but we need not have been. Our room was luxurious, comfortable and with heavenly sea-views. The tranquillity of the Salome "compound" was as relaxing as ever with warm pool and Jacuzzi (yes, almost unique in the Canaries actually to have a warm swimming pool!) and the plentiful supply of sunbeds and umbrellas meant that there was no unseemly "bagging" of space at 7.0 a.m! This time we went across the road to the Spa and had, what we both agreed, was the best massage ever - not cheap but worth every Euro.Amazingly relaxing. Our concierge, Francisco (Frank) was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble and he was ably supported by Kim (lovely to see you again Kim) and Alex. Frank had spent some time in the market town nearest us (Chepstow) and totally "got" my desperation to watch the 6 Nations (even offering to screen it in the Cinema complex for me, if needs be!). Unfortunately Wales lost but our divine stay at the Salome meant that everybody felt like a winner. Many thanks (we will return!) and best wishes to Richard on the health front - we missed you, so get well soon. Dr and Mrs N H Williams

OK these are the facts from our point of view. We stayed for almost 3 weeks in December 2019. We stayed in two rooms at different positions within the hotel. I had booked and paid for a premium room with king size bed, we were given a family room with a double bed and single bed made up in the corner position of the hotel at ground level with no sun whatsoever. We paid 2278 Euros and to say we were disgusted at what our room was like is an understatement. When I went to complain the reception said we had ordered a family room. No mention of the fact they had clearly made an error when I showed them the hard copy of my booking, what can you say. Anyhow we moved to the quieter second level with a room at ground floor level and much quieter. The only thing was people had sunbeds under our balcony so I would suggest trying to get a higher level room if this would be an irritation. This is most certainly not a 4* hotel, you can stay at the Bahia Princess for less and that is 4* The layout is pretty good, most rooms look down on a two teared area, on the bottom floor is a large family pool with plenty of sunbeds and noise, there is a gym, children's play area, snack eating not bad prices . There is a second level which is much quieter also with a cold pool very few children also. The food is typical mass market tourist buffet style, no fine dining here but I guess it does the job but value for money is far far too expensive for what you are presented with. I complained about the food in the servery being cold and food being left and not replaced. The stir fry station was good, freshly cooked per person so a plus. Selection of food was limited with no surprises, roast meats or fish not often over the three weeks we were there. The entertainment staff do a poor job, I didn't see anything to write home about here. Generally the serving staff and reception staff are good humored and are helpful. Our room was cleaned up to the standard you would expect. To summarize a 3* hotel trying to be a 4* and charging at 4* price.

Just returned from a lovely holiday in Tenerife. Originally booked in a family hotel with entertainment but moved here as our original hotel was not open in time. Hotel huge. Lots of steps. Great location. Very clean. Rooms good size. Listen out for the corys shearwater birds at night they make the craziest noise. Not sure how long they have been set up for all inclusive. Menu minimal and repetitive. It may because of COVID and the fact that there is no self serve. Food staff who serve the food are very friendly and helpful. Must be very difficult to work in that heat in masks for such long hours. They are strict with the cheeky few who don’t believe that they need to queue with the rest of us which is good to see. The pancake guy in the morning is good fun and interacts with the guests and their children. Some of the restaurant staff appear a bit miserable but again it may be a combination of the masks and heat. It cannot be easy. Pool bar staff are good - Yanira is brilliant with all the guests she made extra efforts in preparing cocktails and was again very good with the children. Be warned you don’t get pool snacks on all inclusive menu which I have never encountered before and I thought was unfair. I don’t believe that this hotel has been used to having as many families - I’ve seen more interactive staff in other areas I’ve stayed. Sometimes I felt the children were made to feel unwelcome. The days were long with nothing to do. I know a few families asked whether there could be something organised but this was refused. Again maybe because of COVID but I don’t think this is the kind of hotel that has ever offered this. Nights were long too - pool bar only open late (until 10pm) on a weekend closed at 8pm all other times. So most people went out or sat in the dining area. That was open til 11pm. Some staff left the lights on and wished us a good night. Twice the lights were turned off on us whilst we were still drinking. Staff walked off leaving us in darkness. Really hard to decide whether COVID has had an affect on the staff and the way things are managed here or whether they are not used to families. Like I stated we were not originally booked here and prefer places where you can watch family based entertainment. Again this will be restricted due to COVID and social distancing. Would I go again? Probably not. Would I recommend to couple’s or all adult families absolutely.

We had a lovely stay at the Fañabé recently. It was myself and my partners first holiday with our wee boy who is 8 months and he loved it! The rooms were a little outdated but very clean. The staff were all very friendly, perhaps with the exception of the reception staff who were a little curt. The food was standard buffet type offerings but there was a wide selection and the kitchen were great at providing puréed veg for our son each day. Pools were great, especially the children’s pool round the side of the hotel that was very quiet at this time of year. Evening entertainment seemed to be good although we only caught a little bit of it a couple of nights as we would mostly walk down to the restaurants, shops and bars near the beach which are only a 10 min walk away max. The little train/bus that stops outside was a nice wee jaunt for an afternoon and the market on a Thursday and Saturday in the car park beside the hotel is worth a visit. We really enjoyed eating at a few restaurants like Limecellos, Harriets tea room and The Hong Kong chinese opposite Harriets. The Winchester was great for watching live Scottish football whilst we were away and for one night we took a taxi to and from las Américas which was 10 euros each way. Well worth a visit to CC Safari centre to see the fountains and for a lovely chinese meal and drink in Harry’s bar. The hotel photographer, Leandro from Creative Vision Photography, took some amazing photos of us during the day at the pool and at night before we headed out. The finished photos were so lovely and we will cherish them forever as our first family holiday memories. Leandro is such a lovely guy and always greeted us with such warmth, remembering that our son liked him to pretend to sneeze to make him laugh! He also gave us a really good deal on our photos, I would highly recommend using him if you stay at the Fañabé at any point. Overall we loved our stay and would recommend to others.

The hotel although is in the middle of bars and eateries is very quiet. The Hotel has a few stairs in the hotel and a slight hill to contend with from the beach, a 2 minute walk. The pool area is on the top 3rd floor above the town. You wouldn't know it, it is a sanctuary of sun, breeze and quiet, with a view from the balcony of the beach and promenade. the breakfast was constantly being replenished, and was the usual affair, European pastries, pancakes, fruit, cereal, porridge, bread and toast and a full on hot English (Spanish style bacon). Excellent service and extremely clean. The rooms were cleaned everyday whilst we were at breakfast, it felt like a personalized service. The shower was spacious and hot with a rain fall shower head. The living room was just right, with air-con and TV (with a few English channels) The beds were HARD, and so uncomfortable, typical Spanish, i think we are just spoilt at home. All in All, a quiet, hot, holiday in Feb/March, just what we hoped for.

Fantastic hotel, wonderful staff, nice food, all felt very clean and safe in these covid times. The beach club is a superb addition to a hotel that is not quite on the beach, and the location is great, being far enough away from the cheap bars and tat shops, but not so far away that you can't go out and enjoy yourself. Our only minor complaints are as follows, but we did not feel them worthy of removing a star. 1) The room was a little tired in places, some chips on the drawers etc, and the general decor felt a little dated (although the bathroom felt extremely modern and to a very high standard). 2) The wifi has a limit of 2 devices at once, it is possible to log out (although not super obvious how) so you can log in with a new device, but this system feels totally unnecessary. 3) A charge to use the safe in the room does not seem to fit in with a hotel of this calibre where I would have expected it to be free.
