Our first stop in Tokyo, the Imperial Hotel, brought many pleasant surprises. The hotel's decor has a classic, aged feel, which might not immediately impress at first glance. The bathtub in the room fills up very quickly, perfectly showcasing the Japanese bathing culture. The architectural style is retro, yet it's fully equipped with modern amenities like lighting, smart curtains, and control panels, creating a distinctive blend of old and new. The staff are attentive and polite, and fresh flowers are always on display throughout the hotel, adding to its elegant and vibrant old-money atmosphere. The buffet breakfast is very popular, requiring a queue as reservations are not accepted. However, the quality of the food is excellent, with every dish meeting à la carte restaurant standards. Room cleaning is thorough, making for a comfortable stay. Aside from the somewhat older decor, the hotel excels in all other details, making for a highly satisfactory stay.

Excellent for early morning flights! Super convenient! The subway takes you directly to Haneda Airport T3. Go up to the 2nd floor for arrivals, then to the 4th floor for self-check-in at the hotel's machines! There are complimentary skincare products available in the elevator lobby. The room isn't small. You can browse shops before security, though most restaurants close at 10 PM. There's a 24-hour convenience store. Don Quijote is on the 5th floor; it's smaller than the city ones but still nice to have, and it closes at 11 PM. For an 8:55 AM ANA flight, the food shops open at 6:30 AM, so you can grab common foods – plenty of time.

The hotel is pretty good, located in the bustling Shinjuku Kabukicho area. It's about a ten-minute walk to the subway, and there's an airport shuttle bus stop right downstairs, which is super convenient for getting to the airport. When checking in, definitely avoid rooms on the east side; below is Shinjuku Station, and the constant traffic noise will keep you from sleeping. I firmly requested a room change, and the front desk staff were great, changing it promptly.

There are two stations, Keisei Ueno and Keisei Ueno Minami, and I got them confused, but they were within walking distance and I was able to check in without any problems. It's a small hotel, so I often ended up sharing the elevator with men when coming back from the public bath. Breakfast was included, but the Japanese restaurant also serves Western food. I couldn't eat fried food in the morning, so I left more than half of it. I'm sorry.

This hotel is incredibly convenient, located right above the JR station and connected to a shopping mall with stores like Uniqlo and Muji. There's a grocery store on the basement level with super affordable sashimi and sushi. You can easily walk to the Red Brick Warehouse and Yamashita Park by the sea, making for a pleasant evening stroll. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, everything is delicious. Each floor has an ice machine and vending machines. For a hotel in Japan at this price point, the rooms are quite spacious, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's super easy to get to places like Kamakura, Odawara, or even Tokyo from here, and all the main attractions in Yokohama itself are within walking distance. Compared to the InterContinental I stayed at last time I was in Yokohama, this place offers so much more value for money; the InterContinental was triple the price for one night! It's also more cost-effective than staying in Tokyo, where hotels generally offer even less value. Highly recommend!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended, I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tokyo! I stayed at Hotel Musse Ginza Meitetsu for several nights during my trip to Tokyo, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. It was easily one of the most satisfying hotels of my entire Japan trip. First off, the location is fantastic. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the Ginza shopping district, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. It's also very close to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient to get to Tokyo Station, Asakusa, Shibuya, or Shinjuku – a real time and effort saver for getting around. The room design was a pleasant surprise. While Tokyo hotels are generally not known for their spaciousness, this hotel boasts remarkably high ceilings, creating a very comfortable sense of space that completely avoids any feeling of being cramped. The decor is minimalist and modern, with excellent natural light, making for a very relaxing stay. The cleanliness deserves special mention. I stayed for several consecutive nights, and my room was spotless every day. Towels, toiletries, and other replenishable items were promptly replaced. The attention to detail was impeccable, ensuring a comfortable and reassuring stay. Breakfast truly exceeded expectations. Each morning offered a delightful array of small, exquisitely prepared dishes, including fresh fruit, eggs, miso soup, noodles, bread, salad, as well as fish and meat dishes. The variety was extensive, the presentation beautiful, and the taste exceptional. You could tell a lot of care went into preparing everything; breakfast was a genuine treat every day. Service also merits praise. The staff were warm, polite, and attentive. Check-in and daily interactions were smooth, reflecting the consistently professional and meticulous service you expect from Japanese hotels. Overall, this is a high-quality hotel with an excellent location, convenient transportation, comfortable rooms, outstanding cleanliness, exquisite breakfast, and thoughtful service. I wouldn't hesitate to choose it again on my next visit to Tokyo, and I'll certainly recommend it to my friends and family. A strong recommendation for anyone planning a trip to Tokyo! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Honestly, this hotel far exceeded my expectations. With three beds, each of our family of three had our own space, ensuring a great night's sleep after a long day of walking around. The room itself was quite spacious, which made the bathroom feel a little cramped by comparison. The view from the window was really open and the night view was great too. Breakfast was just okay, but everyone's attitude was excellent! Plus, it's only a three-minute walk from Nippori Station, with tons of restaurants and convenience stores. If you're looking for nightlife, there are plenty of options too, haha~ (The soundproofing isn't the best, so hopefully, you won't encounter any noisy groups partying late into the night.)

Overall, this was a great value-for-money stay in Asakusa. The hotel was clean, modern, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed, and the facilities were well maintained. The only downside was the location. It’s not particularly close to the main Asakusa subway stations, so if you’re carrying luggage or planning to use the train frequently, be prepared for a 10–15 minute walk. However, it’s still within walking distance of Senso-ji Temple and plenty of restaurants and convenience stores, making it a pleasant area to stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for travellers looking for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

I booked two separate stays at this hotel because I spent one night at Tokyo Disney; the hotel’s willingness to hold our luggage for a day until the next check-in was a big part of why I chose it. The location is excellent — very close to a JR station — which makes it extremely convenient for anyone planning to travel beyond central Tokyo or transfer to other regions. The lobby leave a good first impression. The lobby is spacious, well maintained, and feels appropriately upscale for a four-star property. That contrast becomes apparent, though, once you reach the guest room. The room’s design feels dated: the bed linens were clean and comfortable, but the sofa and carpet showed noticeable wear and grime. I’d recommend keeping slippers on if you walk in the room. One notable amenity gap is that there’s no microwave available in the public areas of the main tower. The hotel may be discouraging in-room reheating because it offers numerous restaurants and probably prefers guests to dine on-site; still, in Japan you’ll inevitably end up with tasty takeout or convenience-store finds you might want to reheat, so the lack of a microwave is an inconvenience for some travelers. Overall, this hotel is especially well suited to people who need easy access to transportation and plan to travel to places outside Tokyo. If your itinerary is focused on getting around the region, its location and luggage service make it a solid choice. However, if your trip is all about exploring Tokyo itself and you prioritize a fresher room and more complete in-room amenities, you may find better value elsewhere. I’ve stayed at some of three-star Tokyo hotels that felt cleaner and offered more complete facilities. For me, the drawbacks were enough that I don’t plan to stay here again.
