|11.53km from city center5* ALL THE WAY, Effharisto Poly Maritsa!! What can I say about this Super Amazing Maritsa Studios and our Adorable Host, Maritsa? OK Well, First I read the reviews before deciding to choose the Maritsa Studios and can I just say that the person from Italy who posted images of a smashed up room, (I hope that Maritsa charged this person for what more than likely run into the €s for the damage to the room and furnishings, (Completely despicable and disgusting!!). Maritsa goes out of her way to help in any way she possibly can to help her very valued Guests and to repay her on the day that these people did by destroying her Apartment. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY That the Greeks would allow their Guests to enter a room that had been destroyed with such contempt!! That’s that out of the way so back to my short but sweet gratitude to Maritsa and her Husband, (What a delightful Couple. NOTHING was too much. The Apartment was spotless to the T. Fresh linen and towels every other day and the room was cleaned every single day. Maritsa and Husband heartfelt thanks for your gracious Hospitality in allowing me to stay for 2 AMAZING Weeks. Beach is only 300 metres (10/15 minutes walk) And there is a Supermarket 5 minutes away and a Restaurant. There isn’t a pool on the Complex but I had the use of the pool across the road (Babis was Super fun too! I won’t just be back next year, I will go back EVERY year. Maritsa and Hubby and her namesake Studios are now my little slice of Greek Host and Haven. Effharisto Maritsa Maits

|11.92km from city centerWe spent 7 nights in the Sevi apartment. The place is quiet, clean and well equipped! Newly renovated apartment. Excellent value for money. A friendly family takes care of the place and the good atmosphere. Kostas and his siblings and the whole family are very friendly and helpful. They are great and wholehearted people! In their newly built bar, they are ready to serve all day long to provide guests and passers-by with the finest traditional Greek drinks, coffees and snacks. If you are in Kefalos, you should visit them and have a good drink.😉 The place itself is great, because everything is within a 2-5 minutes walk. The beach is about 200m away and, with a slight exaggeration, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Kos can be found here. There is a small supermarket called Jim's on the other side of the road. It is very well equipped, cheap and the owners are very nice. Directly across from it is the Manolis car rental, where you are also welcomed by a very nice family and they will do everything to help you, whatever the request. There are also plenty of well-rated restaurants nearby.

|23.31km from city centerThe Grecotel Luxme Kos Imperial is a stunning hotel. The grounds are beautifully manicured, the pools are well maintained and the food for an AI was really delicious and varied. The staff are some of the friendliest we've ever had the joy to meet and despite the volume of guests they always had a smile on their faces. It would be a nice touch to be given a map of the resort and more information on what was on offer for each board type. We didn't know there was a chocolatier until someone told us just before we left! We stayed in room 359 which was directly behind Grecoland. We booked a limited sea view which it certainly had, but in retrospect I would have paid more to be in a front row room with a wider view of the Ocean. We went during the last week of the school holidays and it was exceptionally busy. Too busy for us and we won't be going away at this time of year again. The sun loungers were indeed all 'reserved', despite the rules, by 6am every morning and I had an altercation with another guest after moving their towels. I had been sitting behind their unused reserved loungers for 5 hours before I moved them, and turned out they were sitting on another 5 loungers opposite and were planning to move to the other side for the afternoon shade. Unbelievable. We never struggled to get loungers by the beach though, and it's quieter and nicer there anyway! The pools are salty which takes some getting used to but it's ok and the kids just wear goggles. We would have loved to watch some of the entertainment but it didn't start until 10pm which made for a very long evening if eating earlier with the kids. I'd highly recommend the hotel look to bring it forward to 9pm. We didn't end up seeing any of it :o( There was a kids disco at 8:15 - 9pm but it was in the conference room in the hotel and there were no lights or anything and the seats were all set up conference style. They could move this down to the bar area and use the PA/Lights set-up there which would be much more fun and the adults could grab a drink at the bar. HEAPS more fun all round. Not the hotels fault but be weary that there is pretty much nothing to do outside of the hotel. There is a (very) small shop over the road for a few bits but the hotel shop is inordinately expensive. I'm talking 35e for a bottle of Nivea sun cream! Also, if you're relying on Taxi's be prepared to wait over an hour to get a taxi back from Kos Town. Some people we spoke to said it took almost 2hrs on some nights. I would highly suggest the hotel look to put on some shuttle buses to ferry people to/from the kos throughout the day/night. It needed be free but it would make a huge difference as we found the regular bus very unreliable. After two horrendous experiences we just forwent leaving the hotel and stayed by the pool/beach for the remainder of our holiday. We booked some experiences via the Viator Ap and Kos4All, both of which were significantly cheaper than doing it via Tui. The Grecoland kids club was fa

|19.45km from city centerThis is a little gem! I have just got back from a two week holiday and I will go back. I gave it 5 stars because it’s what I love about Greece 🇬🇷 I usually go to Corfu since 1985 but this year my friends and I decided to go to Kos. Rena is a 2 star accommodation, so basic but very clean! It’s a family run business. Cosmas is a lovely man that can’t do enough for you! He works hard and will help you make your holiday the best. 🥰 Dimitri his brother is a FANTASTIC chef, he makes the BEST kleftiko that I have ever tasted! (I mean that from the bottom of my stomach!) 😋 The grounds are well looked after. There are delicious fig trees that you can pick the fruit and have for breakfast while listening to the crickets 🦗,cockerels, cats and dogs on your balcony. The saltwater pool is clean and refreshing and you don’t have to fight for the sun beds. There is a shower and very clean toilets by the pool too. I had the best time there, I will be going back! Thank you Cosmas and Dimitri 🥰😘🇬🇷 I love Kos. Sending my love and prayers to you all!

|20.19km from city center In October 2023 I booked the Christa Apartment’s for a 7-day break. In my party there were two adults. ROOM We were assigned room 22 which was located on the first floor (there is a lift provided). The apartment had a small kitchen, bathroom with shower, two separate bedrooms each with two single beds in (these are pushed together if you don’t require single beds). There is also a balcony that can be accessed from both bedrooms. I have uploaded a room tour of our room which you can find on my YouTube chanel, the link is in my TripAdvisor profile or by searching howeij on YouTube. The rooms are spotless & the cleaning team do a fantastic job. The room also has fantastic Air Conditioning system. If you require a safe only one of the bedrooms has one. FOOD As far as I am aware the apartment doesn’t provide or offer food which is understandable with it being self-catering apartments. However the appartment is in a perfect location for some fantastic restaurants that are within walking distance (I have listed some of these restaurants below). HOTEL & LOCATION The hotel is kept really clean with lots of outside / under shelter seating. The location of the hotel is fantastic for people who want to be near the beach / Kos Town. You can be at the sea in 6 minutes from the hotel front door. There is a variety of restaurants near the hotel (I have mentioned the best restaurants we found the best below). If you hire a car there is quite a bit of free kerbside parking around the hotel. A massive positive for the hotel is the shower facilities they have on ground floor which you can use to freshen yourself up on the days you arrive or leave if you have not checked in or checked out. They also have lockers that you can pay 2 euros to hire to store your luggage which allows you too make the most of your arrival or departure days ( I have uploaded a video of these shower facilities which you can find on my YouTube channel, the link is in my TripAdvisor profile or by searching howeij on YouTube). POOL The pool at the hotel is spotlessly clean & tidy. When I visited the apartments, I only used the pool once as we were out most days till late. The pool is open 10am – 7pm. I did feel there was probably a need for some extra sun beds during the busier months as there wasn’t many (The pool can also be seen in some of video tours I did of my stay on my YouTube channel, the link for this is in my TripAdvisor profile or by searching howeij on YouTube). STAFF The staff at the hotel were fantastic & helpful. A massive shout out to Aimilia & Emiliano who were always so welcoming, they are a credit to the apartments. OVERALL Overall, we had a great stay at the Christa Apartment’s. If I was to return to Kos & this apartment was available Id happily book the apartments again. Overall id give the apartment a 10/10. TIPS / RECOMENDATIONS ** BIGGEST TIP - I highly recommend hiring a car for your entire stay because the island has so much too see. I also highly r
