I came to Hangzhou in September for job hunting and have been staying here ever since. I only recently learned that the owner has been feeling down because of malicious rumors. I have no idea what kind of mindset the rumormonger has or what their intentions are. However, I can attest that the owner's character and the hostel's environment are absolutely nothing like what the rumors suggest. The owner ensures that all bedding is changed for every new guest. Moreover, during check-in, guests are always shown their room first to confirm satisfaction before finalizing the process. If a guest isn't happy with the room, they are allowed to cancel their booking. Honestly, you'd be hard-pressed to find any other accommodation in all of Hangzhou that offers such a customer-centric check-in process. This truly speaks volumes about the owner's confidence in the quality of their service. Furthermore, the owner has extended help to numerous guests facing difficulties. He once mentioned to us that his work often brings him into contact with people from all walks of life, including those struggling financially, and he always tries to offer assistance wherever he can. When I first arrived, having just secured a job and with limited funds, I spoke to the owner about a possible discount on the room rate. Without a moment's hesitation, the owner offered two incredible options: either a 50% discount on a month's rent or the flexibility to defer payment and settle at a 30% discount once I received my first paycheck. This was an immense help to me, especially considering that running a business naturally involves overheads and costs. The rooms here are incredibly quiet, so for anyone who values a good night's sleep, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. The mattresses provided by the owner are, without a doubt, the best you'll find in any hostel – absolutely super comfortable. What's more, all the roommates are very considerate and well-behaved. The owner has established a clear set of house rules, which include a quiet hour starting at 11 PM, ensuring everyone gets a peaceful rest.

Two Seasons of Xixi Youth Travel: The Longness of Winter and the Refreshingness of Summer The second time I lived in this Xixi Youth Hostel next to Xixi Wetland, the familiar intimacy when I pushed the door was mixed with the summer breeze. The first time I came was in early January, and I lived for a week. At that time, the warm light of the Youth Hostel was like the small sun in winter. During the day, I always ran to Xixi Wetland, stepped on the thin snow to see the dead branches reflected in the water, and occasionally turned to Hangzhou Botanical Garden to see the pine and cypresses stand upright in the cold wind. In the evening, back to the Youth Hostel, the long table in the public area is full of travelers, sharing stories from all over the place, even the sweet fragrance of hot drinks in the air. This summer came again, and I stayed for a day, but it was extra practical. The room was still clean and the bedding was refreshing with the sun. Soaking in the riverside of Xixi Wetland during the day, watching the lotus leaves squeezed, listening to the cicadas to break the heat, and the quietness of winter. Although the night was a night, the sense of freedom of the Youth Hostel did not change. The public sofa could be in a daze, and the kitchen floated the fragrance of noodles cooked by strange friends. Staying for a long and a short two times, this youth travel has become my stop in Hangzhou, hiding the long winter and the fresh summer, and I will come to make up the story of spring and autumn next time.
