We had a delay in our flight and arrived in unmanned hours unfortunately our internet wasn’t working and didn’t have the email with the lock box instructions. James the receptionist was leaving and saw us. He was very kind and helpful staying to help even though his shift had finished. The hostel needs some updating and a lock of paint but overall pretty good, comfy bed, hot shower. Can’t complain. I did miss the bit about taking sheets off and leaving them downstairs after dropping my key in the drop box - sorry.

The room is clean and tidy, the staff can speak Chinese, and communication is easy. The most important thing is that you can cook, and the kitchen utensils and gas are all included. I stayed one night in Hobson Lodge in a female room. As soon as I arrived in the area I wasn't feeling very comfortable however the lady at the reception was very nice and generally the people at the hostel seemed quite chill. The kitchen/common area isn't the biggest or cleanest. The room are okish as long as it is not full otherwise I understand why reviews were mentioning about the lack of air.

The house has 6 rooms for renting and we had the ensuite one which is about 35 sq. M. Its pretty new and high standard. We can also use the kitchen and other common areas. The whole house is about 300 sq. M. The location is about 25 minutes drive frim CBD. There is no supermarket within walking distance. Also the streets are narrow and has many parked cars because there are many similar share housing. Overall the stay is very enjoyable.

Location is in the city of Parnell, more than half an hour's walk from the CBD. This is the palace of the Queen of Tonga. It is a relatively simple holiday home, 3 floors, wooden structure, high lift, kitchen to cook by yourself, shared bathroom - good hot water, washing machine, garden. There is a supermarket nearby. If you want to cook for yourself, you can go back and buy ingredients. There is also a very lively street nearby, with some cafes, restaurants and small shops. Less than five minutes walk, you can go to the Holy Trinity Church and St. Mary's Church. Overall is good. The service is basically invisible, the store is small, and no service personnel can be seen. Upon arrival, the room was ready and clean. Other self-help is just fine. There is a small heating in the house, very intimate.

The hotel is the old town in the center of Auckland, and the surrounding restaurants, bars and shopping are very convenient. The old house has a taste of home. The breakfast has a special chef made for each guest on-site, which is delicious. The service staff was very friendly and welcoming, and also reserved a parking space for us. In short, everything is fine, will stay again next time.

The room is clean and tidy. There is a cloth next to the bed covering the entire bed. It has good privacy and improves personal privacy. There is a kitchen in the dormitory for personal cooking, and pots and pans are provided. The reception staff at the counter are friendly and answer all your questions.

It was a very comfortable B&B suite. I arrived that night. It was a surprise the next day when I opened the curtains and saw the yard. The lamb would come over when people came by and even touch its head. Breakfast is available in the refrigerator, and the eggs are all produced by their farm. An electronic brochure is issued before check-in, which contains various useful information. The only problem is that the flat iron roof is a bit noisy when it rains. I had jet lag on the first day, so I didn’t get much sleep. Later I discovered that most B&Bs in this country have iron roofs, so I got used to the jet lag.

I don’t normally stay at YMCA But I have been using their gym for pre training few time instead of pay 3x for the hotel 24km away I tried YMCA as I just a clean bed shower and toilet for one and train early in the more after arriving at the hotel 22:30 I worked out great standard single bed clean and tidy All the common area showers toilets tidy and clean The room doesn’t have AC but a fan with window open worked ok to circulate the air at 18C outside temp Single bed room Photos just like in the ads Level 4 men shower rose/water pressure was not working really well but ok for me just one night

The facilities were clean and fresh, and parking was convenient, but the soundproofing in the rooms was a bit poor; you could hear people talking in the next room. You had to walk along a side path to get in and out, which was inconvenient during heavy rain.
