Because I chose a B&B that is closer to the test site for the exam, I felt that the environment should be good after seeing the pictures of this one. The B&B is in an alley, so you have to park near the hospital. Because it was raining, I parked the car and walked a distance to the B&B, so I was not in a good mood. Four of us stayed in the entire building – it was like opening a wonderful surprise! The owner was incredibly warm and attentive, patiently explaining many travel tips even before we arrived in Suzhou. The room was impeccably clean, and the owner was always accommodating! The location is convenient, right next to a river, so you don't have to go far to take photos! The tea room in the courtyard was surrounded by roses, creating a wonderful atmosphere! The location was absolutely perfect, I barely used the subway because everything was in a walkable or bike-able distance. It's also pretty close to a subway station. The service was extremely warm and kind, I was able to leave my bag at the lobby before checking in and after checking out. The lobby space was also nice to hang around. The apartment is in a bad condition. I’m glad we stayed there just for 3 nights. I don’t recommend it as it is now. It should be renovated. Drawbacks: - smells awfully of cats - one bed is too hard and uncomfortable; there is no mattress topper - wallpapers are torn - water leaks from the shower in the bathroom; there is a lot of water on the floor after taking shower and it is very slippery - sink in the kitchen is clogged and there is trash in it Advantages: + good location and nice view + a lot of space + washing machine

The absolute highlight of this B&B is their incredibly lazy and affectionate cow cat, who seems to just lounge in its favorite spot all day long. We stayed on the first floor, which features a private courtyard of approximately 10-15 square meters. It's beautifully planted with banana trees and roses, making it an ideal spot for conversations, enjoying the gentle breeze, listening to the rain, or stargazing. Apparently, the entire place was recently renovated and redecorated last year, which gives it a very fresh and new feel. While the walls might appear a bit stark due to their whiteness, the room itself is decorated very warmly and invitingly. All the furniture is solid wood, and the bedding was so exceptionally comfortable that I was seriously tempted to ask the owner where they purchased it, haha!

This B&B also has its own extended activity space, where you can do archery, walk on the adventure bridge, feed rabbits, watch geese hatching eggs, swing on swings, etc. There are also good fishing facilities! The location is excellent, very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, Lion Grove Garden (right opposite), and the subway station. Pingjiang Road is about a 10-minute walk away. There are many restaurants nearby. Using group deals from certain apps (e.g., ** and **) is a good option. If you want to dine by the water, you can find group deals for restaurants on Pingjiang Road. However, I'd recommend avoiding the one at the beginning of Yuanlin Road – their service was poor, and they didn't offer group deals. Since many restaurants offer similar dishes with comparable flavors, there's no need to pick an overly expensive one. If you're looking for something really good, choose a local time-honored brand. (The waterside restaurant on the left in the last picture is the one I advise against.)
