I had a very satisfying stay. The facilities were well-equipped, and the bed space was generous, ensuring a comfortable sleep. There was plenty of room under the bed for a suitcase and a travel bag. There are many shops nearby, and the Tsukuba Express and Ginza Line right outside are very convenient. It's a bit far from Asakusa Station, so if you have luggage, remember to navigate and avoid the Senso-ji Temple area; take another route. My roommates were all considerate, and it was very quiet at night, though it's inevitable if you happen to get a snorer, haha.

I never expected it to be a regular apartment, but being able to stay in Tokyo for under 10,000 yen is truly wonderful.
It's not too far to walk from the station, and there are cafes and convenience stores nearby, so finding food is easy.
It was very good.

This hotel is perfectly located, just about a 5-minute walk from Haneda T3 terminal! If you're arriving by flight, you'll find it on the Arrivals (到着) level. If you're coming from the city via the Keikyu line, head to the Arrivals level first. Look for HANEDA AIRPORT GARDEN/羽田空港花园 (as shown in pictures 2-3), go inside, and just keep walking straight. There are many shops along the way, perfect for picking up souvenirs. Eventually, you'll see a Lawson convenience store, and the hotel lobby is right behind it. The distinctive decorative pillar (as shown in picture 5) is quite beautiful~ The room wasn't huge, but we only had one 30-inch suitcase for two people, and we were able to open it and place it comfortably. We chose this hotel because we had an early flight the next morning and didn't want to get up early in the city. Plus, you can enjoy the hot springs (public bath)! As someone from the south, this was my second time trying a naked hot spring experience after Yangzhou, and I even got to drink the milk that's often seen in anime after a hot spring bath – truly a dimension-breaking experience. In summary, this hotel is indeed excellent in all aspects and highly recommended for business travelers! What I especially want to share and praise is the hotel's service – it's incredibly humane and considerate! When checking in, you can use the self-service machine – it supports Chinese, just scan your passport and fill in your information. The room provides wet/dry slippers, toiletries, and even loungewear/pajamas if you plan to visit the hot springs. We had a last-minute request to add a person to our room (a friend who was with us at the hot springs couldn't get back to their accommodation in the city due to a Yamanote Line service disruption that day). The hotel doesn't seem to have triple rooms, and there was no space for an extra bed in our current room, but the front desk, even late at night, responded very promptly and responsibly to our request. Ultimately, they moved us to a slightly larger room and added a bed! While we waited, they proactively contacted us to update us on the progress and estimated waiting time – honestly, if my colleagues at work were this reliable, I'd have no worries! All in all, my stay at Villa Fontaine this time far exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely lean towards choosing this place again when I visit Japan in the future! P.S. Before booking, I saw on Xiaohongshu that this hotel has a seal-themed room, but I couldn't find it anywhere on Ctrip, or even on their official website 😢

Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The bell boy who helped me with bringing my luggages to the room was very friendly and helpful, spoke good English too. Though not all staff spoke good English, they tried their best to assist me. Their service standard is consistent throughout.
The room and the toilet was spacious and clean.
There were 4 restuarants that I could go to for breakfast. The Garden Lounge which served buffet breakfast has a wide selection of food and drink. Most importantly the food was yummy!
I enjoyed looking at the beautiful garden with waterfall view as I was seated by the window during breakfast.

The airport shuttle driver and the luggage handlers were all excellent! The room was spacious, and the complimentary breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate for us since we were catching a flight. The staff who spoke Japanese and English were very helpful; I've used English and basic Japanese on my previous stays. The only negative experience I had was on May 27, 2026, around 6:30 PM, when a male staff member at the front desk who spoke Chinese, and was standing in the middle while I was using the self-check-in, had a very poor attitude. He really brought down the overall service quality of the hotel.

Breakfast replenishment was quite slow; items ran out and took a long time to be refilled. Everyone wants to try a bit of everything, but you'd wait for bread, then wait again for fish, and the queue just kept getting longer. The taste and variety were typical Toyoko Inn standard, not bad.
The UCC coffee in the lobby being available until midnight was a nice touch. There were no power outlets in the lobby seating area, only in the luggage area, which were used for warming up breakfast in the morning.
I saw comments mentioning high-floor rooms with Skytree views, and I thought I might be lucky on the 12th floor too. However, my window (room 04) just faced another guest room across the way, as you can see in the picture.
The hotel's location is close to the Asakusabashi subway exit. There's a Kagetsu Arashi ramen nearby, but most other restaurants are on the other side of the subway exit, though still not far. Be aware that while this station does have trains to the airport, not every train stops here, so it's best to check the timetable beforehand.

The hotel is located on the west side of Ikebukuro. Be careful not to be misled by Google Maps when searching for an exit with luggage. Just head west and look for Exit C6 (which has up/down escalators) or Exit 14 (which has an elevator). Google Maps led me to the East Exit near Exit 38, and I had a tough time dragging my suitcases through Ikebukuro Station! There are station maps inside Ikebukuro Station that show which exits have elevators.
The owner speaks Chinese, so communication was easy. It's the first time I've found a front desk that speaks Chinese after being in Japan for so long.
The hotel feels more like a guesthouse and doesn't have an elevator. Guests on higher floors should be mindful of carrying luggage; fortunately, I was on the second floor this time. The common area has tables, a water dispenser, and a large refrigerator where you can store drinks or food like chocolate. Just be aware it's shared, so bag your items to prevent others from taking them. Unlike other hotels, there's no coffee machine in the common area, but instant coffee packets are available. There's also a microwave to heat up bento boxes.
There are two men's and two women's shower rooms on the first floor, and another shower room on the top floor (4th floor). Fresh towels can be found in a bin near the entrance.
There's no washing machine or dryer on-site. You'll need to walk across the street to a laundromat, which can be inconvenient if it's raining. The dryers at that laundromat seem more suited for large loads (starting at 8kg), which might be overkill for tourists with fewer clothes. It costs 100 yen for 8 minutes of drying. I chose to dry for 16 minutes and then took my clothes back to the hotel to air dry them overnight with the AC. If you don't mind a bit of a walk, Google Maps can show you another laundromat nearby where you can dry clothes for 10 minutes for 100 yen. Also, you need to buy detergent for 50 yen at the laundromat. (However, if the owner is around, you might be able to get a little laundry detergent from them. I once had some cotton dolls that needed cleaning and the owner helped me out with some detergent for a quick wash – just don't ask for too much.)
The room is quite spacious, and the bed is wide. There's a small table for using a laptop or other items. All facilities are well-equipped. There are plenty of hooks for hanging clothes directly opposite the air conditioner, and you can adjust the airflow to help dry them.
Upon entering the hotel, you need to take off your shoes and put them in the public shoe cabinet, which doesn't have a lock. There are shared slippers, but I brought my own as I felt the shared ones might not be very hygienic. Be careful not to leave your personal slippers in the common area; keep them in your room, otherwise, someone might wear them away (one of mine was taken, luckily I had another pair). When going upstairs, socks are fine.
Near the hotel, there's a supermarket called Akashi Zatsujiten where you can buy inexpensive drinks, cheap fruits like bananas, and discounted bento boxes in the evening. It's open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 AM.
The owner was very kind and helped me receive a package, which they placed directly in my room. It was merchandise from a Bandori Live event. A few days before the event, there weren't many Bandori fans, mostly Caucasians and Indians. But in the following days, many more Chinese people arrived, all carrying cotton dolls. You can email the hotel to ask for the package receiving address, just remember to include your name.
Overall, this hotel is pretty good for Tokyo. It's close to Ikebukuro, making it convenient for travel, and also great for Bandori fans doing a pilgrimage.
My suggestion for the hotel: Please add a curtain divider between the two public shower stalls downstairs. Currently, only one curtain covers both, though I haven't encountered two people showering at the same time yet.

The location is incredibly convenient for getting around. It's surrounded by wholesale streets full of affordable clothing, as well as many small restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores. Usually, it's very quiet, but this time there was a large construction site next door that was quite noisy, even late at night and on weekends. The environment is decent and relatively clean; there's no waiting for the toilet or shower. Unfortunately, the shower room had a rather strong odor. The service was very professional.

Stayed on this hotel for 2 nights.
Location is super convenient, just 2 mins away from Tabata Station (Yamanote Line). You can store your luggage if you arrive earlier than check in time. Note: the road from the station to the hotel is a bit uphill. Staff is also very accommodating. Check out process is also swift as they have machine for express check out. My room is at 3F, Lobby is 4F. Cleanliness is okay, just a bit dusty on the window part. Shower and bath area is what you expect from typical business hotel. Will definitely staff again if I need to go to Tokyo!

It was a stress-free experience having booked at Narita Gateway Hotel. Its free shuttle bus ride going to Narita Station, Aeon Mall is commendable. It enabled us to save money on taxi fare and the saved money for transport was used to buy some souvenirs. Our stay at said hotel was made more pleasant by two staff at the hotel reception, one guy named Pun Sharti (to me, he was very approachable and attends to hotel guests with warmth and smile, too bad, we didn't see him when we checked out) and a female staff who likewise has a pleasant countenance but whose name we weren't able to get. Booking costs are cheaper than the others.
