Ueno/Asakusa
Tokyo
|5.07km from city centerWe lived there with a group of 5 people. 3 bedrooms were perfectly suited. In apartment 2 toilets and 2 shower cabins, which is very convenient when you live in a group. You can cook yourself, but there is no washing machine. The location is quite convenient, the metro station is not far away, there are sights in the walking availability. Only the room cabinets were missing to fold their things, but it is generally a problem for Japan - mini-houses)

Shinjuku Area
Tokyo
|7.2km from city centerIt only takes 10 minutes from the B&B to Shinjuku in Wang District, which is a good choice! Our family of 5 people (2 large and 3 small), the room was very clean, as the photo introduced on Trip.com; There is a large room with 2 double beds and the other room with a double bed, which is just enough to sleep in the larger room than 3 children. The homestay provides toothbrushes, shaving cream, shower gel, shampoo, moisturizer and basic tea bags and coffee. And the same good thing is that he can cook there, and I will book this one next time! Also make a Shabu Shabu!

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi
Tokyo
|2.98km from city centerPretty good location in Akihabara, quite close to a few convenient stores (closest one is 1~2minute walk).
Overall satisfied by the BnB Hotel, just wish there was more hangers for wet towels to air dry.
For the shared area outside of the bedrooms, there wasn't any air conditioning or fans. It was very hot during hotter seasons even during night time. It makes it difficult for people to make phone call, or just using the shared space for any purpose due to the uncomfortable temperature. (You'll sweat even if you're just sitting).
I might consider visiting again if I want to stay in Akihabara, but I'll rather find somewhere closer to Ikebukuro since there's where I go most often.

Ueno/Asakusa/Senju/Ryogoku
Tokyo
|3.97km from city centerGood option for adequate money in Tokyo. The apartment is clean enough. There is everything necessary - kitchen, smart TV, table with chairs, kitchen, refrigerator, air conditioner, washing machine, dryer. The mattress is soft.
The settlement is uncontacted, by code to the electronic door lock.
The location is convenient - 10 minutes from the metro station and the electricians of Rigoku, from which you can get to Shinzhuk. Also near a grocery store, Japanese fast food gudon.
There was a small problem with the settlement time, but the owner provided fair compensation, and it ended well.
From the downsides - very small pillows, and in the apartment is dark because the windows come out on the stairs.

Hygiene: OK
Environment: Indoor is OK. The outside is a bit unexpected and I dare not recognize it.
Service: Yes
The location is very good. It is very convenient for transportation, eating and shopping. There is no elevator on the 4th floor, so you need to bear the weight of your luggage.

|6.99km from city centerThe room size was just right for two people, with enough space to lay out our suitcases flat. If you're trying to save money by having four people share, it might feel a bit cramped. It's about a 10-minute walk to Oshiage and roughly 5 minutes to Keisei-Hikifune, and it's a really great neighborhood with shopping centers and various types of supermarkets.

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi
Tokyo
|2.7km from city centerThe location is the main draw, for it is near many stations on different lines, and is easy to get to. (About 4 min walk from nearest station). A plus if you enjoy specialty coffee and bar. Facilities are clean and rooms are relatively big for Tokyo! Toilets are clean and well maintained.

Tokyo
|11.28km from city centerCome to see Jay Chou's concert ~ 1. I found that I had to check in and found that I had a password to enter the door, but I didn't receive the hotel email in advance. I asked other guests (Europeans) that they had received the password from other platforms, so I don't know if it was a hotel problem or a Trip.com problem. 2. The quadruple room 6 and the bed 1 not only eat and drink in the room, but actually one person occupies 3 lockers. Music starts in the morning. The quality of the long-term residents is a bit low, and the room is small and not suitable for packing luggage. So when I checked out, I moved downstairs to sort it out, and the result was said by the proprietress...3. I didn't understand that the proprietress obviously knew Chinese, and WeChat was also Chinese. Finally, I checked out and said English. When I finally left, I used Chinese to make me praise... I wanted to come to Hong Kong. The demographic tone is also normal. Fourth, this should be one of the cheap youth travel in Tokyo, and it can also store the package. Although Europeans can put the hall, they ask me to put the garbage at the door... Basically, the room does not have wifi, and the hall is provided. Six, the upper bunk is really difficult to climb... Climb to the foot cramps, the bathroom on the second floor has no dry and wet separation, can throw clothes and towels outside the door, you can go to the first floor to wash, basically do not have to queue. 7. The map logo is not correct. I have been looking for it for a long time for the first time. If you book, you will see docomo going forward with a beverage machine and then turn right and go straight. Eight, whether it is to go to Haneda or Narita, this place is very convenient. If you don't have high requirements for accommodation, you can set this ~.

|5.46km from city centerI stayed at this hostel for the second time (in 2025 and 2023), and it seemed much more social this time. The breakfast has improved significantly and now offers more choices, although there still aren't enough tables and chairs.
The bathrooms and showers are good, and the showers provide shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel! However, the plugs by the beds only have one USB port, which is a bit inconvenient.
We ordered takeout from Domino's down the street and intended to eat in the communal area, but by 10 PM on Saturday night, it was crowded with people drinking, leaving no room for us to eat. That was a bit disappointing.
But overall, it's a great hostel! I would recommend it and would definitely stay here again.

|12.8km from city centerVery good location accommodation, it's just 3 minutes walk from Kamata station to this accomodation. Along the way, there are many choices of restaurants and convenient stores, so it's very convenient for me. The room is very clean and good arrangements, there are all necessary amenities provided. The toilet and shower room are all clean, and I surprised that there is kitchen and cooking area provided. It's very good place to stay, so I decided to stay here for 5 days.

Haneda Airport/Kamata
Tokyo
|13.59km from city centerIt was in a good location near Otorii Station.
The cleanliness was also good and it was very clean.
I was surprised to find that the reception desk was next to the cash register of the izakaya, which was full and popular, and I was very surprised because it was my first time dealing with such a noisy environment. However, I think it will be fine once you get used to it. The room was a wooden capsule-style room, and the inside of the room? was simple, with only amenities, a bath towel, and a futon, and there was no TV or anything else, so it was just for sleeping. There was a lock to prevent theft of valuables and bags, and security to enter the room was solid. Eating and drinking in the room was prohibited, and the place to eat and drink was on another floor, but it was also simple, with only two small tables, a refrigerator, and a microwave, and it was a room where you could only eat what you bought. It was not designed to relax. The door of the freezer was broken.
There is Wi-Fi, so you can watch online videos, but earphones are a must. If you don't have them, you won't be able to watch them because it will be a nuisance to others.
There was no one at the reception desk when I checked out, and I just had to write my name on a notepad and that was it.
There were no services, but for this price in Tokyo, I thought it was totally worth it if you just wanted to sleep. That was my impression of the place.

Tokyo
|8.91km from city centerIt's a little far from the downtown area, so you have to change from Nakano Fujimicho Station to Taya Shibuya Ginza Tokyo Station two or three times, but it was quiet and there was a pretty Gaecheon-gil in front of the station, so it was nice to take a walk.
The hostel was spacious and clean, but the bathroom was narrow and it was too cold at night to be in February with one air conditioner ㅜㅜ
Convenience stores, moss burgers, bakery (really delicious) are crowded around the station, so you have to walk for about 5 minutes.
I am willing to visit again in the season, not in winter ^^

|3.04km from city centerThe location is very close to the station and the transportation is convenient! The room is warm and comfortable, but the room does not have bathroom equipment. There is only one public bathhouse where you can take a bath in the hot spring. Because men and women need to take turns separately, We have three groups of guests on the day of check-in. You can use it without waiting for , but there may be a problem with many people.
Nearby stores close at night (about 5 o'clock), there are no convenience stores and restaurants to stay, eat early.

Tokyo
|7km from city centerIt was a relatively good place among the murderous accommodation prices in Shibuya. It is close to either Yoyogi Park Station or Yoyogi Hachiman Station. Self-check-in using a tablet was a bit unfamiliar, but Korean is supported. All amenities such as towels, slippers, locks, and toothbrushes are paid. (I was a little surprised that they didn't even provide towels.) Hair dryers cannot be used between 11 PM and 6:30 AM. Thanks to this, it is quiet. The next morning, I had brunch at the cafe on the first floor, and it was delicious.

Haneda Airport/Kamata
Tokyo
|13.51km from city centerI had flight early in the morning, at 3am. Therefore I needed a cheaper place from evening till midnight, closer to the airport. I chose this because of the price and also because of my flight timings. This is a self check in, self check out type of facility. Most of the process takes place online only, with no human interactions. It is reasonably clean and convenient for solo travelers. There was only one more person, therefore it was quiet and suited my needs well. I checked in around 4pm and checked out around 11:30pm night without spending the whole night there.
However, the email messages and also the printed messages there carry the tone ”If you do this, we will fine so much”, an American style of approach than Japanese - having disclaimers or warnings for almost everything. It was not a pleasant feeling to see this type of approach, but understandable since it was being managed mostly online, with no frills approach. Some of the reviews mentioned that the shower room is dirty and needs cleaning. I observed that this is indeed true. I took photos of the shower rooms and communicated with this company on email about the online reviews, my observations and the need to do some maintenance. I received a reply from stating that this issue will be looked into.
Overall, this is a suitable place for solo travelers who are looking for a cheaper place closer to the airport.

|9.78km from city centerIt is about a 5-minute walk from the station and there are many quiet residential areas, convenience stores, supermarkets and restaurants nearby, making it convenient for consecutive nights. The room was very clean and the bedding was clean. The washing machine was very helpful in the hot summer season. I was a little scared of the ladder because I wasn't used to the loft, and I think it would have been even better if there was a washlet. Since I lived in the neighborhood before, I was able to spend my time with peace of mind and comfort, as I came back to my home at that time. I would like to use it again. Thank you.

|9.33km from city centerIt was about a 5-minute walk from the station.
The staff also seemed to work at a music studio, and served customers while working in the restaurant.
I thought it was a nice guesthouse, with clean rooms and bathrooms.
Even though it was a weekday, the 4-person rooms were full and it is very popular.
There are spacious shared spaces (the restaurant and the entrance) where you can use the PC, etc., and free drinkable water is also provided.
Also, the accommodation space is on the second floor and above, and the bathroom is separated from the first floor, so you can use the hair dryer without worrying, even at night.
Hair dryers, bath towels, etc. are provided.
However, I think it is safer to bring your own towels.
Toothbrushes are not provided.

Shinjuku Area
Tokyo
|5.73km from city centerCheck-in convenience: I checked in at the front desk, which was pretty easy.
Safety: It's a very quiet area and felt very safe.
Facilities: I don't understand the logic behind this hotel, so I booked for four women, but there were actually three of us, because I was afraid it would be a youth hostel and they'd booked in another person.
Pros: The room had a table, microwave, induction cooktop, and more. Plenty of space. The shower was quite comfortable.
Cons: There was no washbasin, so I had to use the sink, which was a bit cramped and leaked. The bathroom was always ventilated, which was a bit noisy when sleeping, and the door wouldn't close properly from the outside.
The location is really good, though. Yoyogi Station is a 200-meter walk away, and there's a supermarket along the way. However, Yoyogi Station has two exits, so be careful to avoid being scammed (Google Maps tells you to enter and exit the underground to transfer, but if you don't, you'll be charged 150 yen). This proves that the two exits serve as two transportation hubs, making it very comprehensive. Shinjuku Takashimaya and Shinjuku Main Station are also within walking distance. In general, the price/performance ratio is absolutely acceptable. I just hope that the merchant can improve the facilities a little more. Thank you, ありがとう

|12.98km from city centerGreat room. The airport stop is a 10-minute walk. The room has everything: a washing machine with powder, a stove, a kettle, a multicooker, a microwave, an iron with a ironing board and a full-fledged refrigerator, everything is fine, BUT
We didn't get the code for the first door and couldn't get in. I couldn’t get through by phone either; the answering machine droned on and on. If it weren’t for the hotel resident who kindly provided us with his door code, we would have remained on the street. That's just terrible! I don’t understand why guests cannot contact the hotel staff when checking in on their own???

|11.08km from city centerPros
1. The neighborhood is good: it is quiet and nice to walk around the neighborhood because it is near the Japanese residential area, not the downtown area.
2. Good location: Sakura Shinmachi Station itself is within 10 minutes to Shibuya, so access is good.
3. Good facilities: If you travel alone, you have a good space and a good facility.
4. Adequate infrastructure: There are not only convenience stores but also small marts around, so it's good to go out and buy something to eat.
Cons:
1. Ambiguous location: 10 minutes walk from Sakura Shinmachi Station and 15 minutes walk from Komazawa Daigaku Station.
2. Lack of explanation: When I saw it on Trip.com, it was difficult to prepare because I didn't get detailed about what the interior furniture and facilities were.
3. Limits of facilities: Because it is not a hotel, there is no housekeeping, so if you stay long, you have to wash your towels.
And you have to separate and collect garbage yourself.
Conclusion: I'm willing to return.
① Facilities do not matter much ② Accessibility to ③ Central Street at a reasonable price ④ I want a local feel-> Recommended
