|1.46km from city centerFor the price and location it's a good hostel. The staff are friendly and helpful for the most part. My main complaint is that the shower areas are really hot, so you start to sweat as soon as you've showered. I think the hostel is a bit on the quiet side in the communal areas, but apparently all hostels in Taiwan are like that.
Additionally, something I really appreciated about this hostel is they messaged me asking if I would arrive after 9 pm. Because I was going to, they left my key card in the lock boxes by the entrance, so I didn't have to pay the out-of-hours reception fee. If you will arrive after 9 pm, just let them know and they can sort this out for you.

However, we had trouble finding the location as it was in between stores. The way to the inn is had stairs so we carried our luggages. The room is neat and tidy but smelled really old. The comforters smelled like it hadn’t been washed. The inn only provided sachets of body shower and shampoo so I suggest bringing your own toiletries.

There is a lift on the 4th floor and there are only a few stairs in front of the door. No WeChat ID was provided. I arrived early and it took a while to find my boss for inquiries. The boss is also considerate to let you put your luggage in early. awesome.
Not ideal is that the electric system in the bathroom is too close to the shower, and I am very worried about the safety of leakage. It is recommended to remove the electric system. . I like the design atmosphere very much.

Although the building is old, the tenants in other rooms are also very disciplined. There was no noise late at night and I had a really comfortable sleep!
As for the air-conditioning temperature, my eldest brother domineeringly set it to 23 degrees, which is super cool!
The hot water in the bathroom is fine. Follow the instructions of the big brother and the hot water will come right away!
The bathroom is not big, but it has dry and wet separation and is quite comfortable!
A little suggestion: The bathroom is not very ventilated. I personally think that if you can hang a small electric fan, you can go to the toilet without sweating. Hahaha🤣

|3.52km from city center(Economy Double Room in early December 2022-Used for 1 person) ■ Good points It was close to Beimen Station, Ningxia Road Night Market, and the southern end of Dihua Street. I was looking for an affordable private room (with toilet shower) that I could walk to Dihua Street, so it was suitable for my needs. The bath and toilet were separated by glass 々, so the toilet did not get wet. Some word of mouth said that towels were rented for a fee, but they were usually placed in the room from the beginning and were free. Indoor sandals were also placed in the room. The number of outlets and the distance from the bed were also close, which was helpful. Both the communal kitchen, lounge and room were clean. There were several kinds of free tea bags. I don't know what Japanese is at the front desk, but there was no problem with the exchange in English. I was grateful that check-out was until 12 o'clock. Depending on the season, I may use it again. ■ Unfortunately, there was no heating and refrigerator in the room (because it was the beginning of December, heating was unnecessary and there were days when I used air conditioning, but I asked in advance and got extra feathers). I was going to frozen and bring back food, so if I knew in advance, I might have booked another place. In fact, I could use the freezer of the shared refrigerator on the same floor, so as a result there was no problem. Eating and drinking other than water seemed to be prohibited in the room, but it is not certain whether it is a corona measure. When I opened the curtain, I couldn't open the window because I was worried about other people's eyes. I wanted a full-length mirror. There was a terrace in the lounge, but it was a pity that I couldn't feel like going out because it also served as a smoking area. ■ Note (some people may be worried) There are many steps in the room and some people may be a problem. There was plenty of space for the chairs, so I could sit on the floor and use the table (shelf?) directly attached to the wall, so there was no problem. I don't know about the communal kitchen and lounge because I don't use the main one at the front desk, but the small one on the floor of my room is prohibited from using the lounge in the midnight zone. I don't think there was coffee in the kitchen. The front desk is closed at night as of December 1st on weekdays. This hostel is a type of hostel with a part of the miscellaneous building (tobitobi) which is common in Taiwan. The building manager is often in front of the elevator on the １ floor, but the entrance and exit of the building are open during the day. I was a little worried about the house next door close to the so-called garbage residence, but I felt that there was no problem with security in the street itself.

On arrival We truly consider spend more $ to switch hotel. The room are really small & cramp with hint of spooky. everything are old & felt like breakdown soon. Only if you get a fantastic deal & on a small budget. There plenty of decent hotel nearby if your are a OCD person . Do try find the stink tofu shop & had try it with 2thumb up recommendation. The Fongda cafe offer good coffee & snacks also nearby hotel but dine in will need to order 1 drink/person.

|3.64km from city centerIt's been almost a year since we stayed at Originn Space, and we're still reminiscing about it. We would absolutely stay again. Everything was perfect, from the surrounding historic neighborhood, to the calm ambience, to the delicious coffee and other thoughtful amenities, to the vintage turntable, excellent selection of records, and the friendly resident feline. The whole vibe was just homey and soothing. Our room had a very high ceiling and a private bathroom with an enormous soaking tub. This room does not have windows, so it was relatively quiet. We did hear a bit of street noise, but nothing that would keep us awake at night. We found lots of fascinating things to see, do, and eat within walking distance. Culturally and historically significant Dihua Street is steps away from this property. We were lucky enough to be there just prior to Chinese New Year, when this street is closed off to local traffic and transforms into a massive New Year market. And as others have said, it is very near to the Beimen MRT station, with all of Taipei easily accessible from there. We were so glad we stayed at Originn Space rather than some boring chain hotel! Someday we will be back.

The hostel is kept very clean by its staff, and its shower is strong. BF includes a drink, omelette roll and bread toast daily. Request to stay further away from the toilet for quieter stay. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and super clean with great air con, we were both super pleased. The shower has great pressure and shampoo and shower gel are provided. It’s in a great location with a beef noodle shop next door that is well worth a visit!
My friend had an issue with her room and it was rectified immediately by the hostel - they’re so helpful. Had a really good stay and would absolutely book again.

|3.36km from city centerI’ve stayed a lot of places in this has by far been my worst experience in years. I think as far as the location and amenities and the cleanliness everything is fine. But I tried to cancel my booking they refuse because somebody is snoring so loudly I can’t sleep from 2 AM to 7 AM. It’s impossible for me to sleep. so then I finally get a few hours of sleep I’m awake and I am packing my stuff getting ready to leave and they promptly come right at 12 o’clock as I’m already leaving, the system they have in the checkout has them want to charge me. The front desk was pretty rude to me as I was leaving I told them this isn’t fair. Also, as I was leaving, there was a European guy there was working for the place. He was doing his daily activities and I was offering to clean the bathroom by taking out the trash that was overflowing and he freaked out at me and told me to put it back. let’s just say it was a horrible night and even worse but luckily the dumplings that were right outside put me in a better mood. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I noticed that the Fun Inn (that was nothing but fine. I asked a few people if they were busy they were just sitting around on their phones and they all said they were) had already sent Trip.com a message that I had checked out a couple minutes late. Well, I just wanna let everybody know that this could stay anywhere else other than that place.
