There is a kitchen, which is a huge plus. There is no common area where you can sit in the evening without mosquitoes, because the tables are outside and there are a lot of these insects there. The staff is friendly, but not all of them. Some volunteers do not understand how to talk to guests. In the process of solving the problem, they look at you very aggressively. But this is only one person from the entire staff. In all other respects, the staff is great, but there are serious problems with insects.

The live house in front of this hotel was very good. It was comfortable for backpackers all over the world to stay. Perfect facilities for a cheap hotel. The bed was comfortable. The receptionist was saved by English.

This is a converted B&B townhouse. The location is good, close to the Mekong River and Bar Street, not far from Vientiane’s city center and various tourist attractions. The living facilities are relatively sound, and there are a lot of foreigners and backpackers. All parts of the world constitute a small international community, but the service attitude of the proprietress needs to be improved.

The blanket and bedsheet had a musty, unwashed smell — it was almost unbearable, but I had no choice but to sleep there. Initially, the staff assigned me to the wrong bed, which hadn’t been cleaned at all. It was a very unpleasant experience. If I have a choice, I will not return to stay here again. Additionally, the staff at the reception had noticeable body odor, which made the check-in process even more uncomfortable.

This is the most wonderful hostel I have ever stayed in the capital city of Laos, Vientiane and there is no doubt about it. If any person wants to stay near the river at a low price, he/ she has to book this hostel. However, the best thing about the hostel is the quality of the free breakfast. The first night I had a nice, spacious double room, really good for the location and the price. The following nights I got a single room... unfortunately this was no longer up to the standard of a double room... but more like a hotel for the hour... but OK and with a warm shower, which is rare in SOA...

The reception answered all my questions in a good manner. It was nice to take a nap in the lobby while waiting for the check in time. Yes it was loud by some other guest outside the door but that's not managements problem. For some reason many complained about loud guests at night and I had the similar problem.
