In order not to be crowded with office workers at Sapporo Station when I went to the airport the next morning, I chose the business hotel at Tomakomai Station. After exiting the station, walk straight along the road on the left hand side, until you reach the T-shaped intersection, you can see the restaurant on the right hand side. When I arrived in Tomakomai, it happened to be rainy. The hotel counter specially prepared a clean towel for the guests to wipe, which was very considerate. The room is clean and tidy, but the bathroom is not very ergonomic. Every time you turn around after washing your hands, you will hit the toilet paper holder next to it. The height of the bathtub is too high. Stepping in and out seems to be physically challenging. (tired)
The free breakfast is not bad, healthy and delicious. Free coffee and tea are also very close to demand. In addition to the bathroom design is not suitable for me, as a transit hotel is quite a good choice.
In the booked triple room, the extra bed was opened by a sofa, with thick mattresses on it, and the bedding was clean. Japanese hotels are small, but do n’t feel crowded, the toilet and shower arrangements are very reasonable. Or chain hotel, cost-effective.
The bed is quite big, the aisle is wide, it feels like the area is not small, the breakfast is very solid, close to the station, the ground floor lined up to use the washing machine to wash clothes. In general, Toyoko is a good choice for solo travel
The location is very convenient, the breakfast is not bad, there is no convenience store around the hotel, there is free coffee in the morning and evening, there is a big bath, it takes a quarter of an hour to work hard, it is very pleasant.

Fairly new and modern hotel. Minimalist lobby with on site Onsens, steam rooms, large relaxation area with sofas and 2 massage chairs and big TV plus a separate area to enjoy high quality music sound system. The 20 sq m rooms are well designed with adequate circulation space. Very comfortable and clean. Only negative point is the lack of table top space around the bathroom sink. This hotel serves very well presented breakfast bento sets or a western set if preferred. Do note these are only available till 8.45 am . We had 2 family members who arrived late and were told they cannot be given the bento sets. The receptionist checking us in highlighted that breakfast was from 7 to 9.30 am but did not highlight that the last order for the bento sets was 8.45 am. We too missed out reading the small prints on the breakfast coupons as they were in Japanese that we could not understand. After some explanation that we were given the impression that breakfast was served till 9.30 am, the staff eventually relented and provided 2 western breakfast sets ( not willing to serve the Japanese bentos). We were disappointed but thankful that at least some breakfast was made available. There is a large drugstore opposite the hotel and a Lawson shop next to the hotel. Overall the price for this location was rather high but it provides a comfortable stay and great breakfasts.
I used to go to the group three years ago and I was looking for this mountain forest lodge. I was lucky enough to find the last night of the departure from Hokkaido. I went to the New Chitose Airport and went to the taxi for about 4,000 yen. It is very intimate service, because the language is impassable. The next day, I also arranged a drop-off, and the scenery was beautiful. The only regret is that I didn’t bring anything to the Asahikawa on the same day. There are no shops around the hotel. I recommend taking some snacks...
