The rooms are spacious and tidy. You can cook, wash, and iron. The accommodation experience is very warm and pleasant. I walked all the way from the train station, walked for more than 20 minutes, and quickly found it after following the navigation. The locals are very enthusiastic and will help guide the way. The entrance door is a bit dilapidated, and the old house over 200 years has a sense of history. The elevator is also old-fashioned, thin, and booming. I found the feeling of living in an old house when I was young. The apartment is on the 5th floor. The landlord has been waiting for the entrance door for a long time. Remember to ask for the password lock and how to use many home appliances (if you plan to use a microwave oven and induction cooker), because the landlord is usually not there and it is difficult to find her. Can be contacted by phone. There are many small restaurants outside where I live, and I just go in with a lot of people. The food is cheap and delicious. I was worried that I was not used to Russian food before. Basically, about 100 people can eat a big meal. Still have endless aftertastes. Nevsky Prospekt is only a 5-minute walk past, and many buses and basic important scenic spots can be solved in a few stops. Traveling is also very convenient. Mariinsky is also within a 20-minute drive, and after a day of shopping, you can go to a ballet at night. The fare is also a super surprise, it is much cheaper than Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Let me first clarify to all the readers that I am reviewing the Sweet Village Hotel at Vladimirskiy Prospect & not the Hostel (with the same name, which the same owner has). Positives first - The best part of this quaint little hotel-cum-hostel is the location.....this is bang on the main road, opposite to Vladimirskiy Cathedral, less than 20m from 02 metro stations (of 02 different lines, which is a massive help for the tourists)..the hotel is just 350m from the Nevskiy Prospekt (the main avenue) & have enough eateries around, most of the sight-seeing spots are within 3km radius. The beds were really comfortable, so was the cleanliness of the cafeteria/dining area & the common toilets & shower area....this even though we had the private ones. Reception counter was available 24x7. Above all, the hotel speaks english! Negatives - We took multiple rooms, only downside was the room-sizes, little crampy, but definitely manageable....however it might be difficult if you are travelling with your family & kids. Another problem was the hotel was not visible in google maps, it was reading as Hostel, which is another property of the same owner. So better to search with complete address.

The hotel is located on Nevsky Street in a good location, next to the subway station, one kilometer straight from the train station, and the attractions are only two or three kilometers away. Turn left and go to the sightseeing bus stop opposite the 24-hour supermarket kfc. The pharmacy gathers and it is convenient to go out and live. Breakfast list plus Rs. 2200, business center free of charge, the lobby is full of photos of people drinking tea, chatting and talking. Ordinary room size is not large. Two adults are just right. If you take a child with an extra bed, you need a large area. If the local five-star hotel has a spacious room rate of 1500+, there is no upper limit. The hotel staff is very good in English, and the service is warm and attentive. The doorman is also very enthusiastic. It reminds it to snow. Calling the car for luggage. The enthusiasm from the heart. Rs. 500 extra for check-out Overall good experience

Good value hotel, also the staffs are polite and helpful. Walking distance to the famous attractions, the hotel is in front of the road, but it doesn't noisy. If you don't need to have breakfast, you better tell the staff at reception when you go out, we are so sorry for the male staff who had waited us for asking our selection.

We enjoyed a short stay at this small hotel with its easy walking access to Nevsky Prospect and the historic center district. The staff was friendly and helpful. We chose this hotel for the river view and the kitchenettes and both served us well on our first jetlagged days when we prefer the flexibility of cooking for ourselves. There’s a minimarket very close by for the basics, including frozen pelmeni. Buy bread from a bakery on Nevsky or a couple blocks behind the hotel. The staff will make you espresso coffee drinks from the lobby machine after you use up your coffee pods. Unlimited tea and water - much more generous than some higher rated hotels. Take advantage of the hotel’s offer to book a taxi from the airport, but do so ahead — they need time to arrange the taxi. It’s a good deal. It’s perhaps not really a full service hotel but it takes care of all your needs very nicely.

Agree with all daggle’s comments. Had the same initial problem wth keys and courtyard door but staff very helpful even late at night. Made our own way from airport via bus and metro but can phone/email hotel in advance if need a taxi ( French couple charged exhorbinate price for airport taxi when the receptionist would have booked one to meet them at a much reduced cost). Bright airy room cleaned daily and had everything we needed. Ok the gated area, stairs and lift are not 3star but similar to those in any other Russian apartment block.Great value. Look out for good restaurant Toscana on the corner of the street and use as guide to find hotel for the first time. Enjoy your stay we certainly did.

I stayed at the Karelinn hotel with my wife and 9 month old son. We had a room with a kitchenette which was a big plus because we had a place to wash his bottles and warm up food before and after each touring day. The service was excellent. The receptionist helped with finding a taxi with a baby seat, getting a crib for the room and small things like ordering a pizza etc. The room was relatively big which was nice for my son as he had a space to crawl around in. The location was pretty good too with Cafe's and restaurants at walking distance and a grocery store right next door. A bus stop right outside the hotel helped us to get to the main attraction in the city. The room was clean and on the first floor so getting into the room with a baby stroller was only 5 steps away. The hotel rooms are inside a gated area that requires a code to enter which gives a feeling of security.

The hotel is very comfortable and extremely clean. The room was small but very cozy and welcoming! Breakfast made a lasting impression! Each guest could choose from a wonderful menu a light hot dish, which is prepared exactly for the time convenient for the guest. Most of all, the staff amazed us! All young ladies working there were very kind and sincerely sympathetic, always tried to help! During the trip, we fell ill, and for us, they did everything possible, even something that was not at all their responsibility! We are very grateful for such a warm attitude and we are pleased to recommend this hotel to everyone who visits St. Petersburg! Among other things, the location of the hotel is just perfect!

A friend and I recently stayed for 2 nights. Our room was small, but comfortable and very clean. We appreciated the heated bathroom floor for our January visit. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. You can order a main course and type of coffee from the menu and then add from the small buffet (croissants, breads, granola, yogurt, cottage cheese, butter and jams, salad fixings). We loved the fresh squeezed orange juice. Faces is located just steps away from the Hermitage end of Nevsky Prospekt street, close to St. Isaacs Cathedral and the Hermitage. We had ordered twin beds, and they were on the small side (not what we North Americans would call a twin) but rather more cot-sized. For us not a problem, but for someone with a large build, a bit small. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel based on value, location and cleanliness.

It was not the first time we chose this hotel for a few days off in St. Petersburg. The staff is super nice, always ready to help any time of the day! The service is amazing. They have a delicious restaurant and room service is fast and convenient. We had breakfast there every day and enjoyed it so much! It’s always delicious with a wide range of food to choose from! Also, during the pandemic the hotel feels extremely safe to stay in! All the necessary recommendations are being followed. It’s very clean. The hotel is also extremely stylish: starting from the modern hall with amazing lighting and comfortable beautiful chairs, ending with bathrooms and rooms that are beautiful! The place is located in the city center, so you can walk around most beautiful streets of SPB. Near the hotel you’ll find a Summer Garden. Because of the good location of the hotel - the taxi everywhere is rather cheap. And you can avoid most of the traffic! Highly recommend!

The hotel is very nicely located close to the main avenue Nevsky Prospect and to a couple of metro stations. It is also located on the Fontana river although not overlooking it. The walk from the riverside to the hotel (2min) leaves an impression that you’re entering a not so nice area and the door to the hotel is tucked away with a small sign on the door. The set of steps also confirms that same impression. Don’t be fooled by that however, once you enter, the hotel the room are nice and spacious with all the facilities you need and a recently renovated bathroom of excellent quality. The room she confirm the hotel’s 3 stars rating.. with its location, it’s an excellent place to stay. Breakfast is modest but is sufficient to start your day. By far the best thing about the hotel I stayed the service of the various receptionists who rotate on a 24 hours basis. If you take the time to read all of the details about this apartment in the center of St. Petersburg then there is absolutely no way you could be disappointed! I read the negative review about this property on TripAdvisor and I felt that she was unnecessarily negative. The home is literally in the center of the city on a busy street, so you should expect some street noise from time to time. The outside of the building does not seem very impressive, but once you walk into your living space you’ll find that it is exactly as photographed. The kitchen area has a washer and dryer for clothes, a stove top with four burners for cooking plus a microwave. There are basic pans, utensils and culinary for you to use but you will be washing the dirty dishes yourself. This should not be a surprise if you read all of the details provided in the advertisement. This is more like living in an apartment then sleeping at a hotel. I honestly can’t find a negative thing to say about this cute living space which is meticulously maintained. I am within walking distance of more than 100 restaurants and some of the best sites Peter has to offer. I encourage you to give this a try if you’re here to visit and live amongst the people versus vacationing as a pampered princess at some hotel 30 miles away. To me, this is the better deal all the way around.

Pros: location, absolutely. Rooms are clean, furniture cheap but new. Excellent breakfast. Cons: The hotel is located inside a business centre: there is no lobby, no lobbybar, no rest area. The reception ladies are not trained to be customer-oriented. They seem to be fired from a soviet theatre and hired at this hotel, all of them. Talking to customers as if we are a disturbance to their vacation. Never told me there is a minibar in the room: I never even imagined there was one but they asked if I used it at checkout. Keys get demagnetized, customer is to blaim, of course. Unfriendly attitude in general. Aircon never gets cleaned: you can feel strange odor every time you switch it on. Complained, was told that a technician ''will see it on Monday" but I left on Sunday. Amenities really cheap. Toilet paper: two rolls for three days for two people. Bedside lamp burnt out: complained by email, email receives by reception (they confirmed), never got a reply, never fixed.

It’s a good batch, the best hotel receptionist I’ve ever stayed in in Russia, the young lady at the front desk is good-looking and speaks English. You can make a reservation at the front desk wherever you want to go. You can also make an appointment at the nearby shooting range, otherwise you can only shoot 40 rounds, real guns. The shooting range can be booked with an interpreter at the front desk. There is an air gun shooting range nearby. The hotel booked a Chinese translation for 2h6,000 rubles. I washed a pair of pants. It took 600 rubles a day and a half. If you call from the airport, you must call an online taxi. The local drivers are serious. I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and it cost 7000 rubles, and it cost 700 rubles to call an online taxi at the airport today. ps: The hotel is in a prime location, with all attractions nearby. Others don’t bother to go shopping and would rather shoot a target

We loved our stay. Small and friendly, perfect location, warm and comfortable, clean and spacious, WiFi good. ideal for our 4 nights. Friendly hotel managers Alina, Anna and Svetlana, fluent English, gave us the chance to ‘meet’ some locals and learn more about Russia. Our poached eggs were cooked perfectly by Olga. We borrowed some UK plugs as we forgot those. We used the kitchen fridge and a pot of earl grey was never a problem, nor printing items. The five rooms form part of the first floor in an old mansion. Two minutes walk from Metro Admiraltyskaya, bus 22, 3 so easy to get around, but we mostly walked. If you want a personable stay away from the main tourist hotel areas, Casa Leto is perfect. The shared secure entrance, and hallway to first floor landing, where our hotel is, was initially a shock, but once we understood the converted building architecture, all was ok. With fewer rooms, understandably, breakfast has less food options to major hotels, no problem for us.

We've been twice and the hotel is gaining more and more character. We stayed when it was only weeks old and coming back a few months later we can see the improvements by the day. The food is very good quality and the restaurant is open 24h with room service. The menu for the room should be a bit more varied but apart from that, the quality and doses are great and well priced. The facilities are also great, and despite it doesn't have a swimming pool or jacuzzi, it has a great spa area with scented showers, sauna and Hammam (steam bath), which you can book for you or your group. Small geeky detail is you can personalise the environment with music from your phone - top notch! The gym is also very well taken care of and even though small has everything you need to work out. It also has a solarium (which I didn't get to use). Then we have the rooms which are very well decorated, clean and very cosy. Mattress is quite nice and pillows are awesome. The bathroom is fully equipped with Molton Brown toiletries and it's just great. There's all the big hotel chain things you'd expect and I even the smallest room is quite decently sized. It has a Nespresso machine and kettle which makes it quite convenient. The hotel services like Laundry and ticket booking are splendid, with the service shining bright once again. we got tickets over lunch time for that same evening and everything was very well organised. On our second visit we received a complimentary champagne bottle and fruit - which was unexpectedly delightful. the overall service is great and the staff will go out of their way to please and help with your needs - 6 stars! Location wise, it's not in close to the Nevsky but I'm not sure you'll want to. It has great restaurants (Romeo's) and a great Spa with massage treatments (Vremya) and you can walk for a bit to get the underground. Then it's easy getting anywhere in the city. To get around we really recommend Yandex.taxi - super easy and great service. This is our safe-haven in St. Petersburg and we'll surely be back.
