The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

Full of history itself, the hotel is near many important sites in Kandy. Breakfast was wonderful, as well as the staff. I knew I made a good choice when I came back to my room and found a delightful surprise from housekeeping. I would definitely stay here next time I’m in Kandy.

Me and my husband spend a day at Theva as part of our honey moon trip. We stayed in the suit with a spectacular view of Kandy. The ambience of the residence is very calm and quiet making us wanting to stay more. The room had a Jacuzzi where we could enjoy a hot bath with a splendid view from the window. The bathroom was very spacious and was in very good quality. The bed was very comfortable. I want specifically mention about their food. The food we had from Theva was the best we had in our trip. We specifically tried their iconic Sri Lankan rice and 17 curries menu. Also we tried avocado ice cream with the recommendation of the restaurant manager and it was very good. The food was very tasty and highly recommended. The service provided by the staff is commendable. They even helped us to find accomodation for our driver. If you are look for a calm and quiet experience with good food, we highly recommend Theva. Thank you again Theva for the flavourful food and amazing service

The staff were very friendly and laughing. The boss speaks very well French because lives in France a good part of the year. Quality/price price very reasonable (7500 roupies = about 33 euros) breakfast included. A pleasant and noisey view. Sri Lanka specialities at meal were very good! I recommend you if you take a tour by candy.

The beds were super, super comfortable and we had the largest room on the top floor with amazing city/hill views from 2 windows. The rooms sizes seem reasonable. The staff were all very lovely and helpful and the location is close to the lake (10 minutes walk). The bathroom was large and the water was hot. Breakfast was nice but expensive and Wi-Fi was excellent. Sadly, The decor of the room was in poor condition and needs redecorating. Wallpaper is peeling and walls are marked. The window blinds were all broken. The pool and surrounding area did not look inviting at all. The pool looks dirty. Such a shame. If they could fix the decor and pool we would have given this 5/5.
