I really love this hotel. I welcome cakes and bear candy on the first day. It is delicious, and the quality of the toiletries is very good. The hotel has a free mobile internet, a deposit of 200 Euros, and a refund. The breakfast area is small but it is really pleasant. Sitting on the balcony and enjoying the sun and tea, it is full of holiday. I will definitely stay again next time.From$542

The hotel is in a very central location at Gran Via (main shopping street). Metro station is just a few meters away. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are quite big. There is also a nice rooftop bar with good cocktails. Due to the location the hotel is great for a weekend trip to Madrid. I would definitely stay there again.From$305

Lovely hotel, amazingly centrally situated, and so we were able to walk to all the things we needed to see and do. Breakfast excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food. Staff generally very kind and polite. Our one complaint was that the TV in the bedroom we had, kept losing or freezing the picture on the BBC world news channel, and a small icon kept appearing from LG, which after waiting a while restored the screen. We complained about this on the first morning we were there, and the reception noted it and siad an engineer would go and attend to it. This was not done and for the whole stay sadly we were frustrated by the TV which was really of no use to us what so ever. I have read other similar stories on Tripadvisor about the same complaint, and so clearly the hotel is aware of the problem but seemingly chooses not to do anything about it. This is a shame, beacuse something so easy, and expected would make a huge difference to one's enjoyment of the room. Other than that, really we had no complaints, and would certainly stay again.From$236

Excellent staff- everyone was so friendly and helpful. We arrived very early from international flight and they let us check in early. Great location to walk to museums and great restaurants. Rooftop bar and pool were very nice- again, super friendly service. Nice complimentary bottled water and chocolates brought to the room in the evening. Needed to get shoes shined and they got it done for me. Nice artwork throughout hotel. Didn’t charge for drinks in mini fridge- nice touch. Did I mention how friendly everyone is? From$272

Habitaciones bien decoradas, de manera funcional. Baño impecable. Camas muy cómodas. Personal muy amable, servicial y joven. Los servicios de restauración, hay que pagarlos aparte. Hay minibar, pero vacío. Hay máquina de venta de aperitivos y bebidas, pero funciona, exclusivamente, con billetes de 5 €, devolviendo cambio. Inconveniente: está apartado del pueblo de Barajas, y del Aeropuerto. El taxi, desde la T1-T2-T3, cuesta aproximadamente 20 €. El taxi a la T-4, puede costar 24 € aproximadamente. Una de las ventajas que tiene, es que suele haber taxis parados junto a la puerta del hotel. El hotel queda lejos de las estaciones de metro, pero hay paradas de autobuses cercanas, que conectan con Madrid Canillejas.From$65

One of the best hostel I've ever been to. The 8-people shared bedroom was BIG, with beds safely distant. The overall cleanliness of the host was good, the atmosphere was great (with sangria parties going on every night downstairs and Madrid tours every morning) but the best part was the staff: super friendly and ready to help you. The Italian girl working at the reception was lovely! She recommended lots of her favourite restaurants and they were so good. Thank you so much!From$22

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed it. Exceptionally clean, really friendly and attentive staff, good atmosphere in the downstairs bar area and on the roof bar, good breakfast and very comfy, well equipped room. Wasn’t too sure initially about the area but we soon felt very comfortable and found some great bars and restaurants locally off the tourist trail. Great location for walking to the centre, La Latina, El Rastro, the park (El Retiro), the art galleries and metro/train connections. Loved Madrid.From$224

I rated this hotel a 5 because of its very special location next to lively Santa Ana square, the staff (especially Barbara who checked us in) and the varied breakfast in charming surroundings. The rooms are interestingly designed per the website and plushly decorated. 214 was extremely quiet since it had great sound proofing and a view to an interior courtyard. All the standard rooms face internally and have adequate space. I originally booked a superior room but they all face Calle de las Huertas and I was afraid of the noise. In addition to the window sound proofing, there is a very thick velvet curtain that aids to cut down noise but I did not want to take the chance. I was cheerily refunded the price difference. The superior room on the 4th floor was of course bigger, had very large windows and double the storage space but for me quiet is better. My only negative comment is that, although superficially clean, both the bathroom and bedroom floors needed TLC. The tiles need a special reagent (and/or scrubbing) to remove dirt built up and the bedroom rug desperately needs a deep clean heat shampoo. I did mention the issue to the front desk but I understand that this process may require significant commitment from the management. In this area the expectations for a 4 star hotel were not met.From$271

1. We booked two double-bed rooms. When we checked in, we were given a double-bed room and a twin-bed room. Two gay men cannot sleep in the same bed, so we went to the front desk to coordinate, and the front desk told us to change rooms. There is an additional fee of 30 euros! Don’t hotels have to abide by the agreement? Don’t hotels have to honor reservations? I hope Ctrip can give an explanation! ! ! Second, there is no Chinese courtesy at the service desk! It’s not like they can communicate in Chinese as Ctrip said! 3. When we arrived at the hotel, we were charged an additional deposit of 600 euros. After checking out, there is still no payment reminder! very worried!From$322

This hotel is really a bargain for how nice it is. I found the service to be impeccable, breakfast buffet was incredible and the location is right in front of a metro station. A bonus is the contemporary art collection which reminds you that you are in Madrid and not just any nameless, nice hotel. I love the schluter brass detailing in the bathroom and bedroom walls. These design touches add such gravitas to a stay, even when short. Bravo, I would stay here again.From$226

As a Marriott Titanium / Lifetime Platinum Elite Guest, our family [husband, wife and two young daughters] decided to visit Madrid, Spain to start our month-long 2023 summer vacation in Europe. We spent five (5) nights at Westin Palace Madrid using our Bonvoy points in late May / early June 2023. Please see the thirty-eight (38) photos we posted with this review of all aspects of the hotel. Within days after making our five (5) night stay using Marriott Bonvoy points approximately ten (10) months prior to our arrival date, we emailed General Manager, Pablo Flores and advised him of our future stay as well as our special requests, including our request for an Executive Suite, which would comfortably host our family of four. Within hours of our email, we received a thoughtful reply Paloma Hidalgo, Director of Rooms, whom immediately provided us with a complimentary guaranteed upgrade to an Executive Suite and further, Ms. Hidalgo readily granted all of our other special requests. The prompt response did not come as a surprise to us given how active the management of this property is in reading and promptly replying to past guests on Trip Advisor as well as the Marriott Bonvoy website, which is but a mere sign of management’s commitment to exemplary customer service. Not surprisingly, we were overjoyed with such a response and really looked forward to our future stay at The Westin Palace Madrid. This gorgeous historic hotel is magnificently located in Madrid overlooking the Neptune Fountain and less than a three minute walk to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, less than a five minute walk to the Prado Museum and less than a ten minute walk to the Reina Sofia Museum. It is also extremely close to Retiro Park and is within an easy 15 minute walk to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and the Gran Via as well as many bars, restaurant, trendy cafés, market and other cultural attractions. You can easily walk everywhere throughout the entire city but public transportation options abound in close proximity to the hotel as well. Our initial visit to the Westin Palace Madrid did not disappoint, especially when the hotel accommodated our extremely early check-in (before 9:00 am). The check-in process with Ms. Hidalgo, Estefanía Martinez, Front Office Assistant Manager and Juan at the reception desk was a breeze. Further, Ms. Martinez was kind enough to personally escort us to our suite and show us all of the features and amenities of same. This was very thoughtful on the part of Ms. Martinez and very much appreciated. Throughout our entire five (5) night stay, Ms. Hidalgo and Ms. Martinez were especially helpful and friendly. We simply loved our Palace Executive Suite with slightly over 1,000 square feet in total space with a sublime view of the Neptune Fountain; it was truly remarkable. Further, upon entering, we discovered that Mr. Flores and his team were kind enough to provide us with several 1 liter bottles of both sparking water (Vichy Catalan) and stiFrom$491

I really enjoyed my stay here. My room was clean, very large and clean, and the bathroom was very nicely updated. The staff was also very nice and helpful. I was stupid and didn't remove the drain plug in the sink before using it, so it got stuck with water on top in the sink. I explained to the front desk what was wrong, and a very kind repair man had it sorted within 5-10 mins of my asking. I do speak Spanish so I can't comment on their English proficiency for other tourists though. However, my word of caution: this hotel is about an hour from the city center of Madrid by transport. It's past the end of the line on the Metro, from which you either have to take a bus or walk about twenty minutes (also caution: if you are coming back from the city center after midnight, the buses do not run regularly). That being said, it's a really nice area with a very peaceful walk to the station. Even as a solo 21 year old female walking back past midnight I never felt unsafe at all. Also when I went (mid February) it smelled really nice all around because the flowers were in bloom. Just an FYI because it is a little annoying to meet friends in the city center/do things there and then know you have at least an hour before you get back to your hotel.SOLD OUT

Staff was nice and allowed an early check in. Great location with the train station a five minute walk. The Prado and the plaza Mayor both very walkable. Plus, there are a number of excellent restaurants in the area. The downside is the street noise. We had a room on the 5th floor without AC which required us to have our windows open and the noise from the very busy street was deafening. And at 3 am people returning from their night out partying- laughing and yelling could be heard. I think the rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. But, I would recommend a room high up with AC or in the back of the hotel.From$228

On the last day, you must pay attention to LOCKER who checked out your luggage. Otherwise, it will be used up by others and there will be no place to send it. . . . .

Méndez Álvaro station is three blocks away and the line that takes you to the airport stops right there.
The only issue is the outlet type. Only European, so bring your own adaptors.
The bathroom has no real door. You close the shower and the toilet is open.
Other than that, the hotel is really good. They lend you a hairdryer for free, have hot water, and the staff were extremely kind and nice.
I definitely recommend this place.

All staff was available and kind. I am no longer a kid and I found myself very well, the operation of the structure has been explained to me well, everything is kept clean and the visitors also have to say very educated and quiet. For what I read elsewhere of some criticism is true that there are not many bathrooms, but I have never had any problems to find it always free. Even the capsules are not as noisy as some describe, it depends on the guests even if it is obviously better.

Room was clean however the design of hotel itself is not convenient. Upon entrance, there’s a revolving door at a raised level with small steps then after the revolving door you have to step down again. For travellers with heavy luggage this design is problematic- staff will try to help but when busy you have to handle yourself, no bell boys. Free water provided for first check in only and not available for subsequent days. Amenities very limited. Overall at this price level there should be other equivalent or better alternatives.
