The room is clean and fresh, the kids like it very much! What is more commendable is the boss's enthusiasm, helping to call the car. Time is tight, send directly to the station, praise the boss! In the beautiful strange city, there is selfless help from fellow citizens, and feel warm!

The Rhapsody Resort is one of the nicest places my husband and I have stayed at ever. Every single staff member we encountered were so lovely. On our arrival, I mentioned to the beautiful Harriet about having our original accommodation being cancelled, and also mentioning we were there celebrating my 20th wedding anniversary she blessed us with a bottle of champagne. We can’t wait to return to the Rhapsody.

Purely objective evaluation, do not blow not black. Let me talk about the advantages first: Although the geographical location is not good, it is okay to arrive. It is a 10-minute walk from the tram station. The hardware facilities are pretty good. The front desk service is quite warm. Disadvantages: It is not a 24-hour front desk. If you pass the working hours and forget to bring your card, you will have to pay the "opening fee" of AUD 40 to enter the door. Secondly, the quilt is super uncomfortable. It belongs to the kind of upper and lower sheets with a blanket in the middle ... the blanket slipped out when I fell asleep. Sunday did not disturb hygiene ...

The gardens and pool area are fabulous. The view over the Kokoda Valley and overlooking the Gold Coast night lights from the dual swinging bench seat gave such a magical atmosphere. The little ponies and bird life were lovely to see and hear. We could listen to the gentle breeze blowing the leaves in the trees near our room. Good time of the year to go regarding weather and temperatures. A 15 minute drive to Mt Tamborine village shops. Enjoyed the Cuckoo Clock shop! Kirsten was a fantastic host/owner and very friendly. We were welcomed with eggs, bacon, bread, UHT milk, teas, coffee, sugar and margarine. Small bar fridge, large electric frying pan, kettle and microwave provided. Large lounge room, queen size bed and a spa bath with loo paper, soap and shampoo provided. Lovely 2 seater bench on the balcony. The accommodation caters for couples and families. There was nothing not to like! We’ll be back.

This YHA is clean, welcoming and had a great atmosphere. I stayed here long term and loved it. Rooms get cleaned every day, kitchen multiple times a day and they got new laundry equipment. I have stayed in a few YHA hostels in AUS and I gotta say this is by far the best one. Things were clean and tidy. Of course a kitchen can’t be clean all the time seeing as some backpackers think they brought their mom with them in their travels to clean after them, but they didn’t so sometimes it’s a bit messy, but I don’t blame the hostel for that. Even people staying in the hostel were nice and welcoming. I definitely felt at home here and I think you would too. Going to Byron? Then this is definitely the hostel I would recommend! Thanks for a great stay!!

This was my first ever time staying in a hostel and I couldn't be happier with my experience. If you are looking for a brand new hostel with fancy furniture go somewhere else. The magic of this one is the setup. They have a corridor through the middle with tables where everyone congregates to eat, talk and smoke. I met a lot of very nice people in a short time and they were all eager to invite each other to go explore or have dinner. There are free rental bikes and surfboards, a pool and a basketball net. You can't really go wrong as it's also conveniently located right on the main strip. Highly recommend to anyone solo travelling or looking to meet other travelers in Byron!

I ordered the cheapest cabin. There is no private bathroom, only two single beds as shown in the picture. There is a lockable air-permeable screen door, no real door. The quilt is not too refreshing, but the warmth is good.

Expect a warm and friendly antiopodean welcome from Kate & David. Abelia House was the fine Australian Homestead that you always imagine. We liked that it was on a private estate, at the end of a long lane, near the edge of the bush with pretty walks. Delicious range of fresh fruit, greek yoghurt, healthy museli, quality tea/coffee, biscuits were left in the room. No breakfast timings or constraints (yay!) and at 8:30am steamy, freshly baked, hot scrummy chunky apple blueberries muffins left on your patio. It was wafting .. cared for, looked after, that said have the best stay with us. The garden is sensational; it is absolutely beautiful, peaceful with local “critters” and birds. It was “national trust / kew gardens / botanic”, natural & beautiful. The interiors are boutique and meticulously set up, fastidiously checked with attention to detail. For English people, this is boutique bed’n’breakfast (better than hotels!) Babington House Australian style, quintessential aussie ”provence", … and the finest Aussie hospitality. David and Kate are authentic Byron Bay residents of 30 years, who have got something unique, personalised, petit & very fine. Plenty of WiFi! No TV - yay! No signal - even better - my husband was on vacation and I’m glad the office was out of range! ps: Abelia honey is delicious - gives manuka a run for it’s money. pss: We wished we had stayed longer as we would have loved to paint & sketch in the garden.

We were greeted at reception with a warm smile and willingness to help with our luggage. As we made our way up the stairs to the communal lounge and dining area, we were transported to a Tuscan theme of decor. As we entered our room, this theme carried on. It is quite glamorous and, to us, luxurious. Within 5 minutes, we had been handed a glass of sparkling wine and cheese board along with a fruit bowl, chocolates and port in our room. Our room (5) was out the back which overlooked one of the two pools and nicely kept grass and gardens (along with a couple of bush turkeys and water lizards sunning themselves). ... I do love watching nature so this was not a problem. Staff organised our dinner arrangements with restaurant within walking distance for that night. The continental breakfast was delicious and filling. Hubby says the coffee was great as well. My only downside to this place is, and to be quite honest, nothing to do with Victoria’s, is my limited capacity to walk distances. Byron Bay central is at least 3-4 kilometres away, so I was unable to enjoy the lovely boardwalk from Wategos to town to walk to restaurants instead of driving. Uber cars were easily available though. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Victoria’s Wategos and highly recommend it. Wish I could post my photos.

On the positive side the hotel is brilliantly located - close to many top restaurants, and minutes to the main beach at byron and the walk to wategos. The down side was the offhanded receptionist we first encountered and the first room we were given. We had booked a deluxe suite with outdoor furniture and a small courtyard. What we were given instead was a dark room with a 30cm wide balcony which was totally useless. (room 5). I complained and asked when the room we had booked would be vacated as we were told there was ‘only one deluxe suite availble’ in the whole place. We were told we would have to wait for two days 2 days at which time we moved to the proper suite. It clearly was not the case that this was the only deluxe suite because when we eventually moved tonthe correct room (room 1) there were clearly 2 adjacent rooms with courtyards like ours. There was no apology for the wrong room being given due to overbooking more than likely, in fact the people at the front desk avoided making eye contact!! Also on the website it said coffee and muffins would be provided for breakfast. The coffee machine was there as were overripe blackened bananas suitable for making banana cake with. I understand that during Covid you cannot offer unwrapped food but surely if you cannot source individually wrapped muffins you can make a point to provide fresh bananas!!

A nice hotel deck out with great communal kitchens. Staff are friendly especially Tommi. Our room was quite small but nice but unfortunately the lack of dark block out curtains did not help and had a sleepless night. Too much outdoor light was coming into our bedroom at night and didnt darken the room enough to sleep. The curtain we had was very thin and transparent and we could see out so most likely people could see in at night when lights are on so no privacy. Not a great thought. Also noise coming from the two bedrooms on either side of us lets just say there was a lot of banging, which sounded like the beds banging on the wall which really became loud and frighting when trying to sleep (there is no bedheads on these beds in this room type) and for sure the walls are paper thin. We requested to move to another room which was good. We moved our food from one fridge to another and then moved our luggage into our second room. When we came back to our room and wanted to cook dinner we noticed that our food was gone. The housekeeping removed our food that we were supposed to have for dinner. We were not happy about this at all and called after hours staff. It turns out staff took our food thinking it was from previous guests so obviously there was NO communication between housekeeping and reception. We eventually got our food back and cooked dinner but by this stage we were annoyed. It should not of happened. Also what was frustrating that we got a call asking when were checking out our room after the first night but we were booked for 2 nights and had two separate bookings which they knew about but still got the unnecessary call. Once again lack of communication or record keeping, Parking here is free but very tight. Pool was refreshing. Resort is close to beach and shops and restaurants. This is a nice hotel, decorated beautifully but unfortunately the issues we experienced did not warrant an "excellent" review.

My partner and I found Azur on Airbnb, we were lucky to get it during the dates we wanted. From the get go, Airbnb managed to double book us with someone else which of course left us devastated. I had to spend hours with them trying to recoup my full payment with them. The owner and operator, Alex, then stepped up and helped us with our booking. We ended up being able to book on the same days we wanted, all through him with no dramas at all. He was available to contact by mobile whenever we wanted with questions we had about our booking. We arrived to find our cosy, clean and comfortable room complete with the awesome shared pool and Balinese style decor which we loved! The free, on-site parking around the back proved to be very helpful too. We loved being able to come back home on a hot day and have a few relaxed drinks in the sun around the pool. If you are looking for a small but comfortable place to stay that is close to the town centre, look no further! Would also highly recommend hiring bicycles to get around town, which Azur also offers.

If you’re after that Bali feel, this place is as close as it gets. Bear in mind the construction of the burees is not from bamboo like in Bali, hence, they are much darker inside. Also, because you don’t have Balinese cleaners going through each day they feel grubby with marks, cobwebs, dust etc. The burees really need to be thoroughly cleaned often due to their Australian construction & the Byron climate. Location quite peaceful with birds, turkeys & gecko’s all around which added to the atmosphere. The first time I’ve stayed in accommodation where they told me I’d have to empty the bins or they’ll charge me?! I’ve come for a holiday, I don’t want the added pressure of remembering to empty the bins! No storage room for large suitcases & there’s no chance of taking them up the spiral stairs to the bedroom, hence, we had to use the lounge to open up our suitcase’s. Also, it’s impossible to wheel luggage to the rooms as the pathways are pebbles & sleepers. Top marks for the underfloor heating, it was lovely to walk around bare foot. Felt slightly disappointed that the management never came to introduce themselves & meet us, just left an envelope at reception with instructions, certainly not the way I would run this type of business. Totally different to the hospitality the Balinese provide in Bali. Overall the place is Bali but not Bali if you know what I mean. Would we return....... only if the pricing was right. For the same pricing we paid here there are much better places around Byron Bay. We’re in one right now only a couple of Km’s down the road.

We stayed here for the weekend over two nights... it was a delight to arrive to find it was so close ( literally 1 minute walk to the main intersection of Byron) and easy to get home and walk back/forth. Rooms were clean, spacious, well appointed with tea/coffee and TV, bathroom, and good beds. Rooms were quiet albeit it was a busy period at Byron, we didn't hear anyone coming nor going. Only thing is that it was disappointing to find that they had turned the air conditioner off at the electrical point, so we couldn't have it on at all - it was literally turned off and no electricity connected... but apart from that - a great room and a great location for the price. Too easy!!

On a positive note, it is situated in an awesome location, right on the edge of town, overlooking the park and a good view of the ocean. Unfortunately, that is all the good with this place. It has a very uninviting forecourt, parking area. The room was tired, I have the feeling it is being run down pending redevelopment in the future. The window in the kitchen was splattered with the remains of some other guests visit and I don't think it was a recent visitor. One of the other guests was on the pullout sofa bed. They found sleeping on the floor far more comfortable than the sofa bed. On a funnier note, you can play "find the light switch in the toilet"

I have just returned from five perfect days at Bayshore Bungalows. I loved my cottage! Thoughtfully appointed with everything you could possibly want or need. A well equipped full kitchen, decent bathroom, good free wifi, good TV with Foxtel. I particularly enjoyed the quiet peaceful location. All cottages are separate from each other so there is no noise from neighbours. There's a laundry with washing machines and dryers and washing powder all free! There's a tennis court and a lovely pool which I swam in each day and had entirely to myself! Penny is a wonderful manager and I will definitely be back. I love the Byron North location. Next to the little solar train ten mins to town. EAsy walk to beautiful Belongil Beach. Almost next door to Elements the posh hotel. And close to the fun shops of the Arts and Industrial complex. what's not to like?

There is a free parking lot. The location is in a jungle and it is almost at the end. The environment decoration is very good. There is a place where you can take a nap in the doorway of the barbecue. Sitting in the sun and reading a book, smoking and sending time is particularly comfortable. In addition, there is a large lawn at the entrance of the parking lot, and there is a grass for raising cattle. Some of the rooms are compact. The two rooms are close together but the interiors are good. There is also a free netflix for watching TV.

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Bayview. They should definitely be very very specific on the Qantas Hotels website about the one bedroom apartment. Although a beach side, sunny Byron Bay apartment block that particular room we were allocated was a complete let down... a dark hole. Images attached which show.. - the disgustingly dark main living area, the video really brings this to life, no windows and literally in darkness without lights on. This was take mid morning on a sunny day! - the EXTREMELY badly positioned and tiny “balcony” barely big enough for two ottomans which looked at a brick wall and a balcony divider, situated RIGHT next to one of the main walkway entry / exit points (absolutely no privacy) - the other ‘balcony’ which was tiny with a huge air-conditioning unit and looked at the next building amenities / services which was also as loud and annoying as the air con unit on our balcony and the parking lot - not as easy to see in one picture however our second ‘balcony' was also blessed with looking over lots of garbage bins, including the laneway where all the surroundings properties placed their bins... I’d also like to highlight when speaking with the staff there we were simply told that WE should have called ahead, and implied it was OUR fault to not call and ask for a detailed description of the room! Rather than relying on the website images.. After checking in we immediately tried to check out, but was told to was too late as we already collected the keys so therefor hadtot pay in full. We then called Qantas Hotels to assist as we booked through them, hoping for some reasoning. Qantas was very helpful and assisted after with some part refund of points at their own expense. Unfortunately we had no choice but to stay two nights (because we couldn’t get other accommodation) we ran out of hot water both nights (only 2 adults, 1 shower a day) so one of us had a cold shower both nights.. there was also no shelf, soap holder or anything in the shower so all our toiletries and soap just had to sit on the floor in the water. Also what was shocking to us was that even with a 5 night booking we were not allowed to have fresh towels at all without being charged.. you would except at least after 3-4 night some fresh towels at no extra cost. We are low on $$ at the moment with the entire COVID situation going on and hence why we booked our trip all on Qantas FF points, our room was so below expectations we forfeited (before knowing any points would be refunded) the booking and went and paid over a $1,000 for another room to ensure our holiday was not ruined… hopefully this speaks volumes of the situation.
