We stayed at Taiga three years ago and we were very happy. So we came back and we stayed five nights in the room with own bathroom. Unfortunately, we have been very disappointed with our second stay: Execept for the girl on the day of our arrival, no one seems to have an understanding of service and it seem that they just don‘t care. We have the feeling that it is not anymore the same management as it was three years ago. The room is still nice although the mattress is run down. The bathroom need some refurbishment. The sinkhole in the shower was completely blocked. Therefore, we asked the girl on the second day to fix the issue and she said that they will take care of it and clean the room anyway. When we came back in the evening, nothing was made. So on the next morning we reported the issue again and we insisted that they fix it to avoid a huge mess in the bathroom. And they finally did but only the very necessary (no fresh towels, no shampoo - we now it is a Hostel but they offer it). After having asked two times how it works with the laundry, we finally left our laundry with the girl in the morning. Of course, we had to ring the bell two times until she showed up in a half sleeping mode. We asked her for the laundry, insisted that we need the laundry back in the evening since we had to leave the next morning very early. She confirmed that she will take care of it. As we came back in the evening our bag with our dirty clothes was at exactly the same place - unwashed of course... And the girl was very nonchalant about our issue. Our conclusion: Not recommended anymore and we will not stay here again. It would be great if the Taiga would become fantastic again. Good luck!

The hotel on the Neva River, the hotel lobby is full of exotic atmosphere, very good. The room was clean, the bathroom was in the bathroom, the toilet and the shower room were all separated, and there was a heating rod on the wall. The clothes were washed at night, and the whole day was dry. It was convenient to have an ironing board. There is a free swimming pool on the first floor of the lobby, a gym and a 24-hour bar. The lobby has multilingual services. Because it is not a tourist season. High price ratio, worth staying

The hotel is located on Nevsky Street in a good location, next to the subway station, one kilometer straight from the train station, and the attractions are only two or three kilometers away. Turn left and go to the sightseeing bus stop opposite the 24-hour supermarket kfc. The pharmacy gathers and it is convenient to go out and live. Breakfast list plus Rs. 2200, business center free of charge, the lobby is full of photos of people drinking tea, chatting and talking. Ordinary room size is not large. Two adults are just right. If you take a child with an extra bed, you need a large area. If the local five-star hotel has a spacious room rate of 1500+, there is no upper limit. The hotel staff is very good in English, and the service is warm and attentive. The doorman is also very enthusiastic. It reminds it to snow. Calling the car for luggage. The enthusiasm from the heart. Rs. 500 extra for check-out Overall good experience

The biggest advantage of this shop is that the location is very good. It is located at the west end of Nevsky Avenue. It is within 5 minutes walk from the railway station and the subway station. The road is directly opposite the Neva Central Business Building. There are supermarkets, famous shops and restaurants. There is also a cafeteria on the 5th floor. Very special, the customers themselves put different dishes in the big bowl and then weigh the payment. After the 9 o'clock in the evening, the price will be 30% off. Not far from there is a Chinese restaurant called "Hello" opened by the Northeast, a very authentic Chinese dish. The room is small and simple, no extra bed, breakfast is very average, no parking.

Excellent location, close to the train station, if you choose to use the train as a means of transportation to and from Moscow and St. Petersburg, this hotel is the best, but only 5 minutes walk to the most prosperous Nevsky Avenue, easy to find, walk along Nevsky Prospekt Within 30 minutes, you can reach the Winter Palace and many other major attractions. The hotel is small and simple, but it is very clean and tidy. Russians generally do not understand English, even if many travel practitioners do, but the hotel front desk attendants can say that rogue English, communication is more convenient.

We enjoyed a short stay at this small hotel with its easy walking access to Nevsky Prospect and the historic center district. The staff was friendly and helpful. We chose this hotel for the river view and the kitchenettes and both served us well on our first jetlagged days when we prefer the flexibility of cooking for ourselves. There’s a minimarket very close by for the basics, including frozen pelmeni. Buy bread from a bakery on Nevsky or a couple blocks behind the hotel. The staff will make you espresso coffee drinks from the lobby machine after you use up your coffee pods. Unlimited tea and water - much more generous than some higher rated hotels. Take advantage of the hotel’s offer to book a taxi from the airport, but do so ahead — they need time to arrange the taxi. It’s a good deal. It’s perhaps not really a full service hotel but it takes care of all your needs very nicely.

Very good experience, quiet in the middle of noisy. The suite is decorated in a European style, very comfortable and has an elevator. There is no large Chinese team and it is relatively quiet. I stayed in an American senior team for 2 days. It is said that the Chinese aunt loves you, I don’t know if the decibels of the American uncle are also old, huh, huh. The reception is welcoming and will speak English. The breakfast is hearty and the dinner tastes good. 1 km walk from Nevsky Prospekt, a bit far. You can take a taxi, free friends can download yandex. taxi directly to pay cash, now in Russia to get a fast, safe, and not expensive. A hotel that is suitable for free travel.

The hotel is on the tail of Nevsky Prospekt, on the second floor of the building, without a lift. Next to the hotel is a net red restaurant, where the poke bowl and other foods are very affordable. There are a lot of money-changing banks downstairs, and the exchange rates are pretty good. The hotel room is not big, but in Europe, the cost performance of the three of us is already very high. It is a bit far from the core area of Nevsky Prospekt, but it is completely walkable. Overall it is a value for money!

Agree with all daggle’s comments. Had the same initial problem wth keys and courtyard door but staff very helpful even late at night. Made our own way from airport via bus and metro but can phone/email hotel in advance if need a taxi ( French couple charged exhorbinate price for airport taxi when the receptionist would have booked one to meet them at a much reduced cost). Bright airy room cleaned daily and had everything we needed. Ok the gated area, stairs and lift are not 3star but similar to those in any other Russian apartment block.Great value. Look out for good restaurant Toscana on the corner of the street and use as guide to find hotel for the first time. Enjoy your stay we certainly did.

The main entrance doesn't reflects the hotel offer. My room was big, clean and very functional. The hotel location is great and close to the train station and the metro. The staff is friendly and the hotel facilities are good enough for someone that is looking for a clean place to sleep. The unique issue that I had was the room location, it was facing the street and unfortunately is not sound proof so friday night was a little bit hard to sleep because there is a bar right next door and people use to smoke on the street so people's voice and laughs were loud enough to make my night rough even the fact that I was in the 2nd floor

The hotel is very comfortable and extremely clean. The room was small but very cozy and welcoming! Breakfast made a lasting impression! Each guest could choose from a wonderful menu a light hot dish, which is prepared exactly for the time convenient for the guest. Most of all, the staff amazed us! All young ladies working there were very kind and sincerely sympathetic, always tried to help! During the trip, we fell ill, and for us, they did everything possible, even something that was not at all their responsibility! We are very grateful for such a warm attitude and we are pleased to recommend this hotel to everyone who visits St. Petersburg! Among other things, the location of the hotel is just perfect!

A super good experience must be shared and recommended: The street frontage is located on the 4th floor of a building. When you find the door, you need to press the button to open the door. You can go up the stairs or take the elevator with a sense of age. The room is clean and spacious. Leave the key at the front desk every day, and someone will help clean it. The main point of praise is the buffet breakfast, which is rich in food: bread, omelet, oatmeal, flower tea, coffee, apple, milk, yogurt. . Enough to eat to start a day's runaway. The cutest are the chocolate and nougat snacks available all day, super sweet! The beautiful little sisters at the front desk are also patient and have good quality. They work in shifts. They are responsible for the reception and breakfast. They also clean the dishes and add water to the coffee machine. They are really multi-functional positions, but they are doing well and refreshingly, not at all. Frantic. If you have the opportunity to visit Russia for the second time, I still want to live here!

The breakfast was not bad. It was a bit tired to eat for a few days. The foreign old age group was especially crowded and the morning was very crowded. The hotel has no air conditioning, this year is particularly hot, the window is cool at night but there are many mosquitoes, the bed is too soft, and it is a little tired to sleep for a few days. The hotel is no match for the Moscow hotel, it is a hotel, not a hotel. The last night was my husband's birthday. I returned to the hotel in the evening to receive a birthday congratulatory letter and sparkling wine. I was very touched. I added a lot to the hotel. The price of this hotel is a bit high in the peak season, but the location is really good, especially convenient. It was a three-person stay at the bed, which was quite satisfactory. Ctrip booking hotel is very reassuring, and the problem is also timely, and will continue to be in Ctrip.

A friend and I recently stayed for 2 nights. Our room was small, but comfortable and very clean. We appreciated the heated bathroom floor for our January visit. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. You can order a main course and type of coffee from the menu and then add from the small buffet (croissants, breads, granola, yogurt, cottage cheese, butter and jams, salad fixings). We loved the fresh squeezed orange juice. Faces is located just steps away from the Hermitage end of Nevsky Prospekt street, close to St. Isaacs Cathedral and the Hermitage. We had ordered twin beds, and they were on the small side (not what we North Americans would call a twin) but rather more cot-sized. For us not a problem, but for someone with a large build, a bit small. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel based on value, location and cleanliness.

It was not the first time we chose this hotel for a few days off in St. Petersburg. The staff is super nice, always ready to help any time of the day! The service is amazing. They have a delicious restaurant and room service is fast and convenient. We had breakfast there every day and enjoyed it so much! It’s always delicious with a wide range of food to choose from! Also, during the pandemic the hotel feels extremely safe to stay in! All the necessary recommendations are being followed. It’s very clean. The hotel is also extremely stylish: starting from the modern hall with amazing lighting and comfortable beautiful chairs, ending with bathrooms and rooms that are beautiful! The place is located in the city center, so you can walk around most beautiful streets of SPB. Near the hotel you’ll find a Summer Garden. Because of the good location of the hotel - the taxi everywhere is rather cheap. And you can avoid most of the traffic! Highly recommend!

A hotel in the very center of the city for a perfect price. Personnel is very friendly, works accurately and is always ready to serve the guests. Rooms are rather small but well equipped and very clean. A perfect starting place for the die hard city-trippers visiting this wonderfull city. In front the mall "Gostinny Dvor" (best and safest place to buy souvenirs), metro and buses stop in front. Restaurants in the neighbourhood. All that comes with a very good price. Reception manned night and day. Knowing the city very well I recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very nicely located close to the main avenue Nevsky Prospect and to a couple of metro stations. It is also located on the Fontana river although not overlooking it. The walk from the riverside to the hotel (2min) leaves an impression that you’re entering a not so nice area and the door to the hotel is tucked away with a small sign on the door. The set of steps also confirms that same impression. Don’t be fooled by that however, once you enter, the hotel the room are nice and spacious with all the facilities you need and a recently renovated bathroom of excellent quality. The room she confirm the hotel’s 3 stars rating.. with its location, it’s an excellent place to stay. Breakfast is modest but is sufficient to start your day. By far the best thing about the hotel I stayed the service of the various receptionists who rotate on a 24 hours basis. They are friendly, helpful and will do anything to make your stay a comfortable one.

If you take the time to read all of the details about this apartment in the center of St. Petersburg then there is absolutely no way you could be disappointed! I read the negative review about this property on TripAdvisor and I felt that she was unnecessarily negative. The home is literally in the center of the city on a busy street, so you should expect some street noise from time to time. The outside of the building does not seem very impressive, but once you walk into your living space you’ll find that it is exactly as photographed. The kitchen area has a washer and dryer for clothes, a stove top with four burners for cooking plus a microwave. There are basic pans, utensils and culinary for you to use but you will be washing the dirty dishes yourself. This should not be a surprise if you read all of the details provided in the advertisement. This is more like living in an apartment then sleeping at a hotel. I honestly can’t find a negative thing to say about this cute living space which is meticulously maintained. I am within walking distance of more than 100 restaurants and some of the best sites Peter has to offer. I encourage you to give this a try if you’re here to visit and live amongst the people versus vacationing as a pampered princess at some hotel 30 miles away. To me, this is the better deal all the way around.
